At this point of the story Fan xiao still thinks he is playing Shu lang & that he will dump him afterwards. He even boasts to his best friend about how he will dump Shu lang soon . Fan xiao literally paved way for his own downfall, he kept running his mouth to his friend to satisfy his pride. Finally when Shu lang dumps his lying ass, he realises he lost the most important thing in his life & that he can't live without shu lang.
Fan xiao is an ass who realises shu lang is the most important thing in his life only after losing him.Later he gives up his family , his inheritance , goes to prison , lives the life of a poor man doing manual labour just to get Shu lang's forgiveness. I think this is one of those rare novels where they actually made the red flag ml go thro' hell b4 getting his happy ending.
The 3rd version went from a sweet love story to too much drama with a rushed ending but you have got one thing wrong . The ml never loved the fl out of revenge , he was crazy in love with the fl from the beginning & later when he came to know that the fl's father & mother was responsible for his aunt's mental breakdown ( his aunt raised him & was practically his mother) he still hid it from the fl & tried to protect her. Ml's stupid mother made a situation where ml was arguing with the fl's father & he tells the scumbag dad that he was with the fl out of revenge ( this was a lie told in anger) fl overhears it & runs out & falls sick . Poor ml tried to apologize but after her family blocked him from seeing her he went batshit crazy & kidnapped her to make her love him .Then there was some more drama & a rushed ending but the ml was head over heels for the fl throughout the drama.

Yes i read the novel, the brother's character is great .sorn takes jun to his home & introduces jun as a friend/ younger brother & sorn's brother finds that sus since sorn acts overtly possesive . He teases his brother by hanging out with jun & getting him drunk.He tells his brother that his denial of loving a younger guy will make him lose Jun & also helps jun realise that he deserves better than waiting for a guy who denies their relationship. Btw the brother is straight & he is a good older bro type to jun .....i hope they dont change that to a messy brothers fighting over Jun in the series.

North & Arthit hit it off because they are both carefree characters who love to tease others & don't take themselves too seriously. In the 4 th book we get Arthit's perspective & he says out of all his friend's bf's North is the only one he can get along with & that he feels like running away whenver the other 2 are present because of their excessively polite behaviour & fear of saying anything rude to them & hurting their delicate sensibilities . With North he can show his true character as a rude & crass guy as North is a jokester himself. Also in the future North likes to drag Arthit to play games together so they get close & North goes on a campaign to help convince Daotak to accept Arthit as his boyfriend ( this part is very funny 😂 coz Karma bites Arthit on his ass as the guy he falls for is very difficult to chase ).North is the best friend a guy can ask for.

Hill & Ter are not the lead couple in the novel series. In fact their story is the smallest but the director seems to overtly favour them for screentime.Actually the 2nd & 4th are the longest ( johan / north & Arthit/ Dao) 1st book eng translation is 657 pages,2nd is 1168 pages, 3rd is 1000 pages & the 4th is 1415 pages. Apart from this Johan & North get a lot of screentime in the 4th book as basically North is Arthit's wingman. The series director needs to stick to the novel storyline instead of shoving HillTer in our faces.

Actually the 2nd & 4th are the longest, 1st book eng translation is 657 pages,2nd is 1168 pages, 3rd is 1000 pages & the 4th is 1415 pages. HillTer storyline is the shortest but the series is just dragging their plot. The indonesian translator on wattpad cuts out some of the scenes , its more like the cut & uncut versions of the novel. Personally imo the last book was the most funny & romantic one with a little bit of horror genre mixed in.
