Finally completed this drama. The synopsis is a little weird at first but then you find out why then it makes sense. As for the normal day to day life, it’s like your average youth drama filled with friends, puppy love, college entrance exams, angst, etc. I like how two groups of friends became one, and of course there’s always a third wheel, in this case a fifth wheel? lol. Some characters annoyed me a little but not enough to drop the series. Get some tissues on hand because there are some sad moments. Props to the 2 leads for their performance. I’ve only seen FL in Hikaru no Go, but she didn’t have a major role there. And I haven’t seen any of ML’s dramas although I saw a clip from him where he gave such a great performance and you felt sorry for him (clip is when his phone was dropped and then broke and he started sobbing because his deceased mom’s voice was on it). So I’ve seen that clip and in this drama, he can cry on cue and make you feel emotional too. Or maybe it’s just me and I cry easily lol. I say give it a shot. you might end up liking it.

The subs aren’t as bad as AI subs but they do repeat a sentence more than once and it can get annoying. it also cuts out subs sometimes but just briefly

I just finished episode 7 and there’s finally a hint of romance between the two leads. The premise of the show starts with them meeting by accident at this town fair where ML is playing a ring toss game and accidentally threw it on FL’s head. You can tell this is a start of a feud between the two when the game owner tries to cause a scene because he felt cheated out of a special prize that both of them wanted. Fast forward and they begin to have prank wars with each other and their friends but eventually they become friends at FL’s birthday party. Shenanigans begin to ensue and they eventually end up in the mountains because they all saw a UFO. The FL believes her sister was captured by aliens 7 years ago so she’s been trying so hard to get into the astronomy club so she can use the telescope. More shenanigans ensue and they all get into trouble again and now we’re caught up plot wise lol. I will probably take my time finishing this because I have 17 more episodes and it’s already Sunday where I am. Will keep you posted if I think it’s worth watching, for anyone that’s interested.

What a surprising drama. I happened upon this by accident but finished it in a couple hours. The amount of twists and turns made my jaw drop. I don’t want to give away spoilers but this is not your average time travel drama. It’s definitely worth a watch.

10000% bromance. 5% romance, but more like a one sided love.

Not sure what episode you’re on, but if you got to the Yong’An Pavilion, they are the true bad guys. We are led to believe that Qiu Qingzhi is bad, but he was actually good and secretly recruited people to take down the bad guys. He was the one who asked Yi Zhi Hua to save Li Bing’s life 3 years ago but he didn’t know he was going to turn him into the demon cat. The whole reason why the bad guys wanted Yi Zhi Hua was so that could achieve immortality, that’s why they didn’t care who they killed because they wanted people’s blood. In the end, the whole town supported Mingjing Hall and learned the truth and that the dagger they were looking for had a stone in it that could turn Yi Zhi Hua human again. So he admitted he lost and that he wanted to feel like how it feels to have friends. Even though he killed Qiu Qingzhi, they were actually frenemies because Qingzhi was the one who met him first. In the end the queen promoted Li Bing and he was able to bring Mingjing Hall back together and possibly recruit more people like Sun Bao’s friend. Everyone else got promoted, kind of, although we never got to see Vice Minister Shangguan again although she wrote a letter to Alibaba, they didn’t say what was in the letter. Also, if you saw the part Lai Zhong Zhu dies by accident, he came back alive, only to die for real by the hands of the evil old guys in the pavilion. Justice lol.

If you cried during the last episodes, raise your hand. We need a support system after the ending. Even though it was a mostly happy ending, I want a second season. And even those behind the scenes clips were cute, I still want another season. This definitely deserves a higher rating than 7.7, come on guys. Give it a try!

after all the sad deaths the past couple episodes, it’s good to see some lightheartedness once in awhile. I dont want this to have a sad ending.

btw I’m not even sad if Lai Zhongshu died. Until we get confirmation though, Li Bing has to be more careful. Glad that Qiu Qing Zhi still has a heart and probably saved Li Bing. And yeah! The team is back together again and they know his secret 😊

So does everyone in Chen Village have the name Chen? Did they name themselves after the village or did the village take its name after the people? 🧐🤣

Did they really need to kill off Yuan and Hu Si?! And who knew Hu Si was a badass under all that meekness? As for Chen Shi’s brother, when Minister was talking to Black Rakhasha at his house and while they were leaving, the hooded figure did look like Chen Shi (props to actor who played dual roles). With 8 episodes left and semi important characters dying, if someone in Mingjing Hall dies, I riot. I mean, the upcoming spoilers look like the whole team is falling apart and now that Lai Zhong Shu knows Li Bing’s secret, what else is gonna happen to the group? I’m not ready for a sad ending.
