this is so illogical. EP 1 when ML rescued FL, he's already a full grown adult while she's still a child of 12?…
The FL does seem like 12 - 14 at the time. I think the time jump is only 5-7 years, which will make her about 20-21... If the ML was around 20, then he is about 26/27, which isn't too bad. In EP 13, the FL addresses this. When her brothers calls their shifu a father figure she goes "I've never seen him as a father. I've counted the years, when I was younger the years seemed so distant but now that I'm older he is really not that much older than us".
thats what my problem with the way Allen portray ZCS. Even his eyes is empty, I don't see love in his eyes for…
When she suggested they sleep seperately was before they consummated the marriage. Happened on their trip, the morning after the night before when he looked like he was going to make a move and leaned in only to at the last minute go "oh your hair is wet let me blow dry it". Her being surprised the next morning made total sense since he essentially rejected her the night before. It's like dude, you know you like her, you've got competition take some initiative go get your girl!

AH. that's probably it. Wish they had the OnO director do this, cause OnO was spectacular. Thank god OnO was broadcast first, not sure I'd have been as keen to have watched OnO if this was broadcast first (although I do love both Bai Lu and Allen Ren so maybe, but definitely wouldn't be because of this drama haha).
I don't need kiss scenes, in one and only there's no kiss scenes but their chemistry was sizzling. Here there's…
Actually at first I thought maybe ZSC knew he was in danger and therefore resisted intimacy in order for to ensure she's "pure" for her future relationships in case something were to happen to him. But then after they consummated the marriage, he is still rather awkward around her. I admit he is trying in his own way. While his awkwardness at first (in the getting to know you phase) was endearing, at this point (married for months) just it feels weird. Relationships should be a two way street, and right now it feels kinda like Shi yi is the only one carrying/pushing the relationship forward.
That's just my opinion, and I don't put the blame on Allen Ren, more on the script/director. I loved One and Only, and I wanted to see them get their happy ending here. But in terms of chemistry between the two main leads for this drama, I'm rather disappointed. I thought they had more in One and Only even though they both couldn't actually be together.
Y’all are annoying like kiss scenes are nice but not needed like imagine one of your favorite actors or actresses…
I don't need kiss scenes, in one and only there's no kiss scenes but their chemistry was sizzling. Here there's times when I question if ZSC has any sexual desires. Clearly the actors themselves felt the same since in BTS Bai Lu and Allen laughs at the ridiculousness of a)the drying hair almost kiss scene and b)the bed cuddle. There's a difference between being gentlemanly or awkward around women and trying not to over step. And refusing to kiss a girl you like and clearly want to kiss when she's practically begging for it. Not sure what his logic is there.

Definitely he has a better look for historical. And his eyes can be super expressive... I've only seen him on Miss Crow for modern and thought it was okay a cute Rom Com. I guess he has some good and some bad dramas, like white snake despite historical I found rather drab. I guess I'm just having a hard time connecting with his character here, especially coming off of one and only. I expected to at least see some sense of Nanjing Wang here, and instead he's just clueless which I didn't find in the novel. Despite his aloofness, he gave off an intelligence which is missing in the drama. But man that security guard (from Shiyi's building) is like a ray of sunshine, his been the unexpected highlight of the show for me. His play off of ZSC's awkwardness is gold. In fact the few times when the show made played off of ZSC's awkwardness has been great, they should have focused on that instead of trying for the serious tone.

Not sure if the blame can be put on Allen or the script/direction. I've seen behind the scenes and they definitely have chemistry. In fact the chemistry from One and Only was off the charts. But here, the awkwardness is unbearable, at first it was cute the way he was shy (reminds me of some awkward geeks from my university days), but come on the girl is practically asking to be kissed and he has no follow through.
So anyone else find it weird they despite the fact they are married ZCS still completely shy around shi yi. It's bordering pathetic, does he not have any libido?
I've made a mistake....Should have waited until more episodes came out so I can binge, now I'll be stuck waiting like a love sick puppy for new episodes to air.
Wasn't expecting to like this so much. Was bored waiting for my other drama to air and came upon some clips of this show on YouTube. Now I'm hooked. Tuesday can't come fast enough.
guys any suggestions for new dramas (even ongoing dramas are fine!!!)
Gank your heart is pretty good. That was actually the first drama I watched with Wang Yibo before his untamed fame. It's more game /team life focused than this or love 020, but there is still romance in it (unlike King's Avatar).
I think this was originally planned as a 36, maybe even 40 episode drama and probably not planned for airing this…
That explains a lot, cause man there's been so many episodes where I feel like we are missing an episode in between or something. It's too bad, cause there was a lot of potential there, the first episode was great with gold pacing but fell apart by ep3. Seems like they cut out the important scenes and left us with duds. Would have been better if they cut out a story arc or one of the other side character story.
I had such high hopes for this show. The trailer looked great and I like Simon Gong. But after sitting through 6ep I don't think I can continue. Like others said, the editing and pacing and script is a over the place. The scenes jump from one thing to the next with no cohesive logic, or explanation. It's like they took a story line, threw it in a shredder and then whatever they shook out is what they used. It feels like a poorly made low budget production. It's too bad, as they have some very talented actors in this drama. Even Simon can't save this one, it's a drop for me.
I can't decide whether to watch 23-28 tomorrow or wait until next week to watch it slowly (aka 2ep per day, but I'll get to watch it more days in a row vs 6 eps now and have to wait a week for the ending....)
After the recent ep, there is an actor who got introduce in the story also in falling into your smile too. That…
Thank you, I thought one of the guys looked familiar but couldn't place him. I am watching Falling Into Your Smile at the same time. I guess Xu Kai is my June/July hubby (as they say in china!)
