Just finished ep27, and something doesn't quite make sense. Why on earth does the the group keep letting Hu Le Na stick around and come and go as she pleases? Like, doesn't people think it's creepy that she's just there creeping around all the time? When the prince was like, let's go chat in private and leave the teachers behind, why would he also let HLN come along? Also, why hasn't anyone noticed that she's been missing for the past few day? Did I miss some explanation?

Odd, the big chinese new year gala is always on the eve, which happened today from 7-1 (7am-1pm EST). I guess in a few hours hopefully the clips will come out if there's other shows.

I've got to admit, I was rather disappointed in ep1, it didn't catch my attention the way I had hoped. I decided to give it some more time (especially since I like XZ) and now that I'm on ep6, and I'm fully engaged in the show. I should disclose, I know nothing about the original story, but I'm really enjoying it so far. Looking forward to what surprises the drama brings.

That's not too bad, Wang Zhen Er's Appledog seemed a lot older (or maybe it was just her mannerisms that made her seem way more mature) than Hu Yi Tian, whereas Li Yi Tong's Apple dog very much acts the same age (if not younger) than DT. So trying to reconcile the two Appledogs is hard.

Heiress was good up until the last few eps. I want to check out the dreaming in qing dynasty. But I agree he's got the "it" factor to be the next big thing. And as an actor he has range.

She does seem much younger than Appledog in GGS. But the one that really threw me is her sister and Grunt. Cause Grunt seemed so much younger in GGS, and Ai Jing was supposed to be older than appledog. But here, they are only 3 years apart... But I do love the chemistry between the SML/SFL here. But I became a big fan of Wang An Yu from Forever Love.

Thanks! That is actually pretty useful, trying to reconcile the two was quite confusing. As a standalone it's pretty decent, but trying to relate to GGS was frustrating while trying to figure out whether it was prequel or sequel or parallel.

Is there any reason why Esther Yu is only listed as guest as opposed to support role? She is probably the 3rd FL in this drama, she had way more screen time than many of the other supporting characters.

Yea I think the problem was people had really high expectations going in (like thought quality of love and redemption/TMOPB) so was somewhat disappointed when it wasn't met. I think on it's own merit, it was a good drama but wasn't exceptional.

Exactly, with COVID lockdown and the kids are home all day my drama watching time has cut down significantly. This was perfect, quick and easy watch.

Yes, he only has less than a year provided he doesn't use any internal energy (aka he can't do any fighting). They're sad because they currently have no cure, so both are trying their best to enjoy whatever time is left. XY is taking AF to his hometown to show her around.

Indeed, I was very happy with the ending. I was just sad that the grandma doesn't get to see them, I really liked her character

I'm pretty sure she was just adopted, but her master has the special pendant. And the pendant was for told to be the object to defeat the big bad guy. Her master stayed put for her to grow up normal instead of moving around.

Private corner. I had to rewatch the ending cause I missed the part where the ML got the cure for the poison.
