I feel like this dram started so strongly and then became such a mess towards the end. They didn’t need to bring…
Unfortunately, I agree with you. I hoped we would see in the second half what happened to Naksu's father and she would have epic return with her and BY powers combined and with revenge fight against Jin Mu ( but they just mentioned it between lines, that it was some scheme with JinMu a she doesn't even know yet, it was so not important, that I don't even remember details). Then I expected as well reveal that Naksu's body is actually BY with some funny situation, when everybody thinks Mudeok is actually Jin family heir, but they don't know she is Naksu yet. They totally wasted character of Uk's father, he was all mysterious but in the end his epic return was not epic at all and only for like 5 minutes, he said everything is my fault and died. And also BY's character, she was basically there only to explain why Naksu didn't petrify and she had powers when it was needed for plot, but her character is totally not used or explained, what is thinking a what is doing and why. Don't even let me start about CP. He was my favorite character, his development from petty and easily manipulated by Jin mu prince to actually smart and wise man with potential to be good king was totally wasted at the end and what they did with him just deleted his whole journey thru series. Also this weird goodbye with Naksu and Yul after the battle felt so much inappropriate and out of place, since she already had relationship with Uk. If they wanted this scene, they should have put it much, much sooner. So-i could have been interesting addition to the plot, but again wasted. They prepared her like for a 5 episodes or something and once they introduced her, everybody immediately knew she is fake. No use at all. Also the healer with crush for Uk was totally not needed there. And the teacher Lee, I loved his character as cool and powerful additional, but at the last episodes he was just kinda there doing nothing and observing situation. Why have this powerful character, when you don't use him? And also the fight between Uk and Yul for Mudeok to be servant, when Yul won Mudeok, but it actually didn't have any real impact on characters? Why then even bother? Overall, I am disappointed that with the theme of this drama, there was lack of fighting scenes. This drama had such a strong beginning, I loved it for the comedy, for the epic moments, for magic element, for strong and interesting leads as well supporting characters, but ending was soo lacking. I feel that the decision to do S2 was really what killed the plot in the second half and last minute changes resulting in mess and nonsense.
I don't want Crown Prince to turn evil and manipulated by Jin Mu. He is my favorite character and I don't like what they did with him in last ep. I hope in second season they don't make him evil just because of jealousy over Jank Uk, I think he can be more interesting character, than just that.
Maybe she is not dumb but desperate for sure. She wants her older daughter back and she would do literally everything…
At this point, I am just sad for second daughter. She never had love of her mother, because of older sister, but she still wishes that she is found and misses her.
Nah, if she weren't that dumb she'd have started suspecting Mu-Deok after she opened the vault from both sides…
I guess, she will just scream at Mudeok again, what is she doing at Jin residence. Her staring at the end of episode is just cliffhanger, but who knows, maybe it will be more interesting.
Anyone notice how Mudeok's korean is different from the others...I don't understand is it different or not?
yes, she speaks different way to showcase she is of low birth compared to others hence the maid. You can notice, when she speaks as Naksu, she speaks in different way.
I loved their fight! Uk making the tansu move using chisu was awesome :3
I agree with you, when I am thinking about it now, it would not be really interesting if they shown too much of spells. Maybe they could have a sword fight longer. I don't know. Overall, I liked their fight, but felt something was missing. Or maybe I was way too hyped for it :D

I agree that Tansu move was cool and overall it was cool, but too short to really impress me. I wished they shown us more and longer fight scene overall. They shown just one ability he learned from other fights but he had overall 9 other (well 8 other, considering Danggu's fight). I wish they shown us like 3-4 more new abilities. Or doesn't have to be new abilities, I would be even happy with longer sword fight between Yul and Uk.
I wish they would make Jang Uk's and Yul's fight bit more epic and interesting. With all the hype and expectations, if was done before it even started. Fight with the CP was more interesting to watch.
CP is my favorite character! His development and relationship with Mudeok and Uk is so nice to watch! I like how it is shown he shows overall sympathy towards Mudeok, not just as simple love interest but based on her wit and cleverness. Also Uk and CP are such a Frenemies. I like that even though in the beginning and overall CP feels rivalry towards Uk, he questions when they accuse Uk of doing something bad, which does not make sense. And of course bridge scene with yin-yang is GOLD!
