my point is that by having seen far worse actors than book, i do not think book is a bad actor. he lacks experience, and that much is evident, but i think he's portraying his character well enough for it to be believable. he is by no means 'a detriment to the series' - if he was, you wouldn't see people saying mew is their favourite character or the most interesting character, which i've seen people say. top and mew are supposed to be the cliché love story of a bad boy falling for an innocent bookworm, which is probably why some people find their scenes boring. p'jojo has said that they appear this way specifically to contrast with the other couples - that top & mew are supposed to be "the sweet couple".

i don't know a single thai actor who went to university to study acting. you also have to consider that a lot of thai entertainment companies cast people based on their looks, their connections, or their popularity on social media - not their acting skills. so a lot of thai actors gain their first acting experience in workshops only after they've already been cast. acting is not as easy as most people think and it takes years to sufficiently develop the right skills, and for that to happen, an actor needs to gain experience through being cast in different roles.

i feel for book. he's said in interviews before that he does read what the fans are saying on twitter about the shows he's in, so no doubt he's seeing the criticism. as someone who has qualifications in acting, i can confidently say book is not a bad actor. i have seen far far worse in my college days - people intending to study acting at degree level who didn't show up to rehearsal most of the time and who couldn't put on a single facial expression or do a different accent and who still couldn't have their lines learned after they've been given months to learn them, which are essential skills for an actor to have.

the cast keep saying that ep 5 is like the calm before the storm. book said that mew only loves top for 4 eps. the majority of scenes in the trailer are from the first 5 eps which keeps us in the dark for the remaining half of the series. personally, i can't wait to see how chaotic this gets!
glanced this in my watchlist and suddenly realised i watched TWENTY episodes of this crap in 2018? damn, 14 year old me really had nothing better to do with her time...

charn is like, the exact opposite of the 'uke' cliché. he looks damn good in his frilly blouses and it suits his character. he's not the stereotype of a shy, blushing damsel in distress. he's headstrong and can hold his own and he's damn ruthless in his methods of getting what he wants. he's secure and confident in himself and his sexuality and he's not afraid to express himself. him wearing less traditionally 'masculine' clothing does not make him the 'gentle feminine uke' cliché. it just makes him a fashion icon.
i want nothing more from this series than to see boston & top taken down. i hope mew's anger brings hellfire and that mew ruins top's life when he finds out about what top did with boston. and even if he doesn't, i think i'd still love him. the things i forgive because of my soft spot for book's adorable face...
