Honestly, the ending isn’t bad at all, much better than what I expected after yesterday. A lot of useless plot and villains that were not needed (so much time wasted on those idiots). But, it was quite satisfactory. I like how they didn’t do anything over the top like re-proposal or grand rewedding, but still made everyone sufficiently happy. Are there dozens of plot holes, yes. Was it worth watching, also yes. Really, the stellar acting alone makes it worth it.

Unless the finale is about 3-4 hours long, it’s going to be a rush job. They aren’t even close to catching…
Maybe it will end as another person said here, with Eun song married to Hae In 🤷🏻‍♀️. I have 0 expectations from the finale now

That true, but I think the mermaid show wasn’t that far off from this kinda writing lol, I dropped that so quick

I'm only on EP3...Does it still surpass CLOY? judging by the comments, I guess not.
If you look at the writers other shows, even My Love from the the Star was better than the writing here. They’re all consistent narratives with little to no plot holes, this one becomes so good and so bad it can make you dizzy. Certainly Nowhere near CLOY. But this one’s popularity is mainly cause of KSH and KJWs performance, and the nostalgia feels for the domestic audience.

They truly have been! I’ve been watching for many years, there are old classics newer shows can’t ever beat, but overall the quality definitely increased I think

Cdramas are definitely much superior in terms of storytelling. What I like is that they either start off bad and stay bad, or start off good and the writing never declines. No false promises or sudden decline like the 3rd act of almost all kdramas

QOT NATION ,what do you say, forget about the writer writing ,at the end of the day we all here for KSH and KJW…
Honestly, the writing makes them shine even more I’d say. Now we know that BHW is a very interesting character because of KSH’s performance. He truly does deserve an award, regardless of everything else!

Oh it was taken down by the mad woman Moh seul hee
When did they show that? Was it in ep 13/14?

Last ep tonight. I realise i keep getting disappointed bc i have such high expectations for the drama but now…
Why is this so true 😂. People still have high expectations for the ending, but I think they’ll play it off in a forced cute way (remarriage/HEA), and never explain much, if anything, at all. My high expectations died already, ep. 13-16 are truly a fever dream where anything goes

In a drama, everyone has their own priorities. If you’re into OST, actors, cinematography/visual, this show is still great. But for me I can’t put those things above the actual plot. Tbh, what plot anymore lol. This was an excellent premise and a great 11 episodes, I’ll just pretend it ended there. Summary of todays episode: wasting time on characters they failed to get us attached to, evil villains STILL alive and doing very well, Hae In becomes worse as a character, somehow? They spent an entire 15th episode on that, and the ending was the worst cliche imaginable. I feel bad for PJE honestly, cause I think she had an great story idea but just couldn’t carry it out. Without the actors, (with any other actors really), this show would’ve been a 2/10 for the horrific writing. Also, why can’t she just find the comments on the internet talking about how much they seemed to like each other after their divorce? I’ll stop looking for plot holes honestly, the entire plot is a giant hole at this point. But again, if narration/storytelling isn’t very important to you, this is still a great show.

Let me just use my deductive reasoning skills to understand why Da Hye runs all the time, what Mo Sul Hee’s past is, and what happened with Hae In’s baby. You seem to have skills, how about you fill in all of these plot holes for us?
Actually, let me just critical think the entire story and PJE can share her profits with us, since we’re making up stuff here apparently lol. Never heard such a strange argument FOR plot holes.

I was in the majority, but now I’m in the minority as well. Their lack of ability to communicate and the strange infantilization is quite immature. Starting off that way was fine, but ending that way is not fine anymore.

I agree! Also, I wish she changed just a little bit in her behaviour. I would’ve loved to see her much less colder to her pretty amazing husband, especially now at the end. I love the scene where she apologizes but now it’s back to cold again.

I think it’s Secret Obsession 😭 That’s more of a horror story, and Eun Seong needs to drop dead immediately before it goes that far.

Realistically, this is the kind of marriage that would end in divorce again after the external issues pass, cause they haven’t grown enough to communicate and internal issues were never touched upon.

Why do we need to watch at all then? In 1 hr 30 mins, they barely spend time developing any plot, there is zero narrative flow, what is the story even anymore? If I have to ‘imagine’ Da Hye telling Soo Cheol about her past and ‘imagine’ Hae In talking about her miscarriage, then I can just imagine my own story instead of watching the writers. From what I see right now, the BaekHong couple Cannot communicate to save their life (literally), and it’s already ep. 14. This isn’t about the audience being ‘oh so smart’, it’s about the writer being bad at development.

Yes actually, it’s a written script, they do need to write things out, that’s the whole purpose of “writing”. The scene with the mom is excellent character development, for the Mom! It still doesn’t show us how Hae In struggled or what she felt or why she thinks she was a “difficult child”. But it focuses on the mom and the dads memories, their emotions and regrets a lot more. It’s unfair to overlook the female characters that are central (Hae In, Da Hye and Sul Hee) for everyone else. It’s a real disappointment in terms of narrative flow and character arc. BHW has an excellent arc, we see him go from husband who hates wife, to man full of guilt, to realizing her importance. As you say, they don’t “show” his guilt either, but it’s well written so we can “see” it anyway. They simply don’t do that for female characters (apart from mom).
