My point exactly. Unless you clearly are being rude or disrespectful, there is no need for someone else to be. If I lack clarity about a certain comment, I simply ignore it or if I have time ask them explicitly what they meant. I can imagine how someone might feel coming into a section to air their thoughts and feeling attacked for reasons they can’t understand (because that wasn’t their intention).

If some word choices reflected passive aggression , I apologize. I was not trying to come off in that manner. Passive aggression suggests that there was/is a negative feeling I’m trying to put out but refusing to outrightly say it which was not the case, I thought I addressed what it was that I felt wasn’t cool. If that wasn’t clear, again, I apologize. All I meant to say was when someone isn’t being rude, it’s best to let them air their opinions. You might think it’s passive aggressive but that is something that is deduced but not necessarily verbatim so there is a chance that you might be wrong. To avoid that 10/15/50/99/1% chance that that is not the case (you have to remember that English isn’t everyone’s first language so messages can be misconstrued. What passes as PA where you come from maybe just be another boring sentence in some other part of the world) it’s best to let it go or maybe ask questions? (That is If you’re in the mood to). Having made that mistake a couple of times, that was my own two cent contribution to that comment.

Lol. Passive aggressive? That would mean I’d leave a comment on the page randomly without the @. I’m not trying to rain on your parade being an avid watcher of KP myself. I’m just saying that there are better ways to disagree with a comment without all of that. You don’t need to come in gun blazing when you see a comment that you don’t like or don’t agree with. A lot of people are hyped for the new episode, I don’t see the reason to start all that drama. You enjoy the show, you comment. Someone else doesn’t? They comment 🤷🏽‍♀️ It’s not that big of a deal.

People are allowed to voice their opinions even if they contradict with the majority.

The only thing I can look at in that entire message without gasping in horror is the fact that everyone deserves a second chance (which is still debatable and can vary from person to person).
Enjoy the show, make all the KP jokes and comments that you want to but please do not invalidate people’s comments by indirectly calling them unhealthy. I’m yet to see one comment calling Build nasty names or wishing him evil. That’s the only thing that counts as unhealthy to me.

Forgiving him and minimizing what has been said by addressing them as ‘not as severe’ or saying things like let’s not associate it with rape are two different things (comments like the ones he left leave room for actions such as rape to be explained away. I’ve seen ALOT of comments by people saying that they forgive him I didn’t address those; it’s their choice. And I’ve seen a lot of other comments saying that they can’t look past it. Also their choice so I didn’t say anything. But making it seem like people don’t have the right to be outraged is where I have a problem.
And contrary to what you said and at the risk of playing who’s from a worse country, I come from a country where unspeakable things are done to people (and I mean unspeakable) simply because of how they choose to live their lives. So no, no perfect little bubble for me.
Whether or not we’ve been brought up how ever we’ve been brought up, we have to hold ourselves accountable for our actions. It’s that simple. I’d he had chosen (now that he said he knows better) to address it prior to this shit storm, maybe I’d look at it differently. But he didn’t. So like I said (and will repeat) it’s possible that he has changed. It’s also possible that he hasn’t. We will never know because this had to happen before he addressed it.
And I stand by what I said. Most people don’t go about leaving comments on social media saying and I paraphrase “if rape has already happens just see it as an opportunity”. It takes a different kind of thinking to say that.

I’m as free spirited as they come as I vehemently believe in live and let live. But, there are some issues I’m very rigid about and they are rape, SA and racism and he managed to offend me in all counts.
Ps. Male (and female) family members that have spewed anything even remotely close to what he said on Twitter have 1. Gotten it very hot from me and 2. Banned in my head. I don’t even acknowledge their existence so there’s that.

When I see comments like this, it makes me wonder. Yes, people say stupid shit all the time but comments like this make it seem as if the writer thinks that the average human goes about making SA and R*pe jokes. It does tell of a persons character whether you want to believe it or not. There are how many main characters in KP? 7?8? And only one person’s past had such disgusting comments.
Forgive him if you will but please don’t make it seem like he said something that the average human goes about putting on social media cos it’s not. At that age, more than 90% of the world’s population knows that such things should not be even thought about and if you make the mistake of thinking about them, should not be said and if your nonchalant enough to spit it out, should not be left on an app that never forgets.
It’s possible he has changed, it’s possible he hasn’t. We’ll never really know because it took for it to come out and cause a controversy before he addressed it.
Feel how ever you want to feel about it but please do not downplay peoples negative feelings about it nor equate the same level of hatred towards whoever dug it up in the first place. If he hadn’t said it, there would have been nothing to dig up.
