Flaws, Schemes, and a Happy Ending — Still a Win

I finally found the time to write a review for Glory, and honestly, this drama is right up my alley ❤️. It is a pure historical drama with a touch of business elements 📜🍵, which happens to be my favorite genre.
That said, the drama does have its flaws and loopholes ⚠️, but overall it is built on a solid foundation 💪. The main theme revolves around tea plantations and the Rong family 🍃🏡, and I really appreciated that the story never lost focus on this core plot or abandoned it halfway through.
The first ten episodes were a bit slow and draggy 🐢, as they almost felt like a variety show of husbands competing to win Rong Shanbao’s heart 🤭😂. Thankfully, once the story picked up, it became much more engaging.
The scheming was well done and on point 😌♟️. Watching how the female lead and male lead worked together to turn the tides made the drama even more satisfying 🔥. Their strategies and growth added depth to the story and kept things interesting.
I’m giving Glory a solid 9.5/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because it is definitely worth watching. I would have given it a perfect 10, but the loopholes simply can’t be overlooked 😂😂. Still, it was a great, scheming ride with a happy ending 🥹🤭🎉—and one I truly enjoyed.

My First Ever Completed BL ??

I must say I’m speechless 😶 and surprised of how good this drama turns out to be
I’m not gonna lie I was one of those that said Fan Xiao is not good looking that he might not have the potentials of acting well in this drama, but BRO ‼️‼️…he proved me wrong…
It has been a very worthy journey with rollercoasters of emotions….
If you know you can’t watch dark romance then this drama is not for you 😅😅…at some point I was screaming at my screen cause of the things Fx did to Ysl 😭😭😪😪…but I’m glad they came back together 🥹🥹…and the ending was 🙈🙈

Imma rate this drama a 10/10 cause it’s worth it 💕💕

Dark drama ‼️‼️‼️

Honestly I have my hopes high for this drama since it’s Cheng Yi that’s the ml …tho he didn’t really disappoint me cause his emotions were raw and the looks in his face were what I was expecting…

But the ending of this drama is not satisfying 😞😞…cause after he got his revenge why did he still die with a villain 😪😪

Anyways let me not say the bad part only ..this drama is very dark…if you are not into dark dramas (scheming, bloody sacrifice, death ☠️ etc)

Even though this is my Celebrity crush drama imma rate it a 8.5/10 …

Strong Leads, Real Connection, Unforgettable Chemistry

Shine On Me truly **surprised me 🥹🥹…I wasn’t expecting it to be sooo good! I really shouldn’t have judged the drama by its poster. Although I’m not usually a fan of Song Weilong, I am a huge fan of Zhao Jinmai, so I decided to give it a try — and I’m so glad I did.
Some people online say it’s a slow burn, but for me it felt fast-paced — so much so that at times I had to rewatch episodes because I didn’t want it to end 😭😭😂😂.
The LinYusen × NieXiguang couple serve us stunning visuals and great acting 😍👏. Song Weilong, whose character’s name literally means “forest green,” really delivered — calm, composed, and so good to be true 🌲💚. They started off with some misunderstanding, but it was resolved with maturity and understanding — which is rare in C-dramas and made their relationship progression feel real and earned 🥰🥹.
They took their time with romance — from wooing, to courting, to marriage — and I loved that pacing ❤️‍🔥.
Nie Xiguang is a strong female lead — she’s confident and not a damsel in distress at all 💪✨, which made her journey even more enjoyable to watch.

Overall, Shine On Me was much better than expected 💯. Every piece — romance, character development, misunderstandings, family ties, and emotional growth — blended beautifully. If you’re looking for a drama that hits deep feelings without dragging too many unnecessary scenes, this one is worth your time 😭❤️‍🔥✨.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended!

Three Lifetimes, One Painful Ending

I should have known that most xianxia (fantasy/magical) C-dramas 🧚‍♀️✨ tend to end tragically 😭😭. I’m usually not a fan of magical C-dramas, but since both main leads are my favorites, I decided to give this one a chance.
Unfortunately, the loopholes in this drama were big—really big ⚠️. At some point, the story lost focus and diverted attention from key plot points. For example, they completely forgot the important fact that Xiao Yao attracts demons, along with several other crucial details that were introduced earlier but never properly addressed.
The drama took us through three different life cycles, which was an interesting concept 🌙🔁. Hong Ye truly served visuals and delivered strong acting—his performance was on point 👏🔥. Xiao Yao also didn’t disappoint, especially in portraying her emotions; her pain and struggles felt very real 🥹💔.
However, some plot decisions were hard to overlook. Bingzhu, who was supposed to be punished for killing three mighty gods, faced no consequences at all 😐. Even the king, who committed countless evil acts out of his obsession with immortality, was never punished either. This lack of accountability really weakened the story’s impact.
I genuinely felt that the first half of the drama was strong and engaging, but the second half—and especially the finale—felt rushed and messy ⏳😞. To make matters worse, it ended on a tragic note, with the male lead sacrificing himself for the greater good 💔😪. A heartbreaking but frustrating conclusion.
