I've just finished the first episode and, based on the rating, I thought I was gonna like this series but it is the complete opposite... First episode and I'm already rolling my eyes every time Chalie is on screen. I really hope he evolves throughout the series because he's a really detestable character. I hate his type of character: looking innocent, naive and dumb. I'm sorry but who asks to rent a racing car to a guy that they never met before expecting he's going to accept? I know it's probably an excuse but still, it's dumb and I hate those kind of settings for the two main leads to meet... Also, Babe is already acting like he loves this guy when he doesn't even know him! I mean, he shouldn't care that Winner takes him if he loses the bet! (even though, you shouldn't bet a person but that's another story...) So, I already dislike the main couple, which is not a good thing if I want to continue watching, so... should I continue?... I like Pavel and I'm happy to see Nut again. There's also Pon that I liked a lot in Make a Wish so I'll probably continue for them but I'll probably not gonna like this series... I should probably watch Sign instead (hopefully the rating is not lying on this one!).
I'm usually not a fan of teacher/student relationships but this one was cute and funny. Yes, it wasn't perfect (especially towards the end) but I really liked watching it and I would still recommend it.
My take on that is that they are referring to him getting to the point of thinking that Day can't be safe without…
I agree. I felt that Mhok was more in need of Day than Day himself. Just because he didn't want to lose him as he lost his sister. But I can understand a bit more Day's point of view now.
Day didn't want anyone to pity him as a disabled person. He wanted people to treat him as normal and not strange…
It's true that he became a bit overprotective. But I've never seen that as pity but love. But now that I've read your comments and reflected on it, I can see the pity they were refering to.
I think that they are equating pity with not treating Day as a sighted person. If Day could see, Mhok would have…
Do you think he would've? I think he would've still refused the job but after reading all your comments, I understand a bit more Day's point of view. I still think Mhok did all of that not out of pity but for himself. I feel like Mhok's life revolved around Day and he was the one who needed Day the most.
they don't say it bluntly so i will: mhok's lying was rooted in ableism. and that was what day couldn't forgive,…
I see... But I feel that Mhok wouldn't have accepted the job even if Day was sighted. To me, his only mistake was not to tell Day about the job offer but I see what you mean and I can see it now when remembering about Mhok's actions.
Absolutely love the series but can someone help me understand what was Mhok's mistake that they were all taking about? Because, apart from lying about him getting the job just because he didn't want to leave Day behind (because he was in love with him and not because he pitied him), I don't understand the "mistake" they keep refering to...
I actually liked the last episode (especially P'Aof's cameo haha). And this was by no means a short episode but…
I 100% agree with you. The scene at the airport was great but it would have been even better if Mhok really took his flight. I was kind of expecting him to go back to the US, resigned from his job and return to Thailand. Because he didn't take his flight but what about his job in the US? We had no explanation about that. Also, as you said, it would have been better for Day to gain his vision back little by little. A quick search on the Internet helped me find out that it can take months after a cornea transplant for the vision to improve so it is really unlikely that Day can immediately see his relatives just after the surgery. Also, we don't know much about how Mhok got the job at Day's mum's restaurant and Day's life as a whole. Did he keep in touch with Aon? What about his shop? A lot was missing. Or maybe, I got too attached to the story and the characters that I wanted to see more, I don't know...
I absolutely loved this episode. It was Tay's episode all the way. I think this is the first time that I see him cry in a series (I can't remember another series in which he cries...) and he was so good!! I also loved that it is the only episode in which we don't hear anyone's mind voices. We didn't hear anything when Min hugged Jinta and the same goes for Karan hugging Achi (even Achi noticed it). That was a nice touch, I think.
It's cute, but honestly, it's pretty much exactly the same as the japanese version so far, at least as far as…
It is adapted from the same manga so, of course, the story is very similar. However, it is not exactly the same. They made lots of changes while staying faithful to the original material and they added a few more scenes from the manga that was not in the Japanese version (I'm talking about the business trip). I'm a fan of the Japanese version and I love this Thai version because it feels very different from the Japanese one. I really feel like I'm watching a totally different series (which is the case).
Oh, ok, I'm not the only one who has the same problem. I thought there was something wrong with my VPN, because…
No. I've tried some VPN already but I don't want to pay for something that I barely need so because they were free, they didn't really work or the countries choice were limited.
There's a problem with the live today... I don't think this is my connexion because it says "Live" but everytime I charge the page, I have the same scene from a TV show... and then the video stops. I can't see Cherry Magic Live today T_T
I don't think this is a BL thing specifically. Chimon is just not good with romantic scenes as a whole (and kissing…
Oh. My. God... I thought I was the only one thinking that!! I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the ships (my favourites are Earth/Mix, Jimmy/Sea and Gemini/Forth) but what I like more is BL and if I see one of those actors with another pairing in a BL, I love it! For example, I adore Earth and I loved him in Waterboyy with New and in Theory of Love with White. Now that he found his ship with Mix, I don't think he's going to do a BL with another actor but I wouldn't mind! (even if I like him with Mix). The same goes for Tay that was kind of paired up with Joss (and Toptap) in 3 Will Be Free. I like when they can act with other actors because that proves their talent as actors and it's new and refreshing. Of course, I also like when they act with their ship once in a while.
I am soo glad that it was not only me who thought that Perth was giving his best in the romance scenes. No offence,…
I don't think this is a BL thing specifically. Chimon is just not good with romantic scenes as a whole (and kissing scenes especially). I've read a comment somewhere that said he was the same with his girl partners. So yeah, it was pretty obvious that Perth carried the whole romance plot. I even pitied him sometimes being the only one into the scene.
Ngl but I liked it a lot more than people seem to do. It was a nice story with really nice actors. My main problem was the two last episodes. First, we have Phupha that decides to confess his feelings without warning and in front of all Nan's coworkers. I felt like it was out of character as he was shown from the beginning of the show as an introvert and that's not what an introvert would do, especially if he's afraid to be rejected. Then, we don't even have the time to see them together that the grandma dies. And when everything's fine again, they're already living together. And again, drama with Nan having a work opportunity in China. I felt like it was too much drama in too little time and we didn't really have time to see them develop their relationship as a couple. It was like, before the confession, they are the best of best friends and, after the confession, they're already a married couple. I didn't quite like it as I like watching the development of the onscreen couples' relationship. Apart from that, it was a nice series to watch and I spent a good time watching it.
