I have to admit that I didn't expect to like this series that much because the first episode was a bit too cringe for me. I mean, watching fondly your boss (and your employee) sleeping after only a few hours knowing him was so uncomfortable to watch. But from episode 2, it really started to improve and I really liked the dynamic between the two characters. I, for once, didn't roll my eyes at all the clichés and tropes, which is a good thing, and even the miscommunication between the main leads didn't bother me that much. At least, it was justified and I really liked the angst because of it (it made me teary). Also, I liked that Shun Yu took the initiative to clear everything up between them once he understood that he was misanderstanding Shang Zhou's actions. And the kiss at the very end... Wow!! I replayed it several times because it was so good!
Oh my God, THANK YOU, I thought I was the only one disturbed by the student-teacher relationship they were hinting…
It's true that I haven't seen a single comment talking about it and yet, it's a very disturbing thing in this drama! Maybe they are other things more important talking about for people but I needed to point that out as it is not the first time GMMTV tries to sell us a teacher-student couple. I even talked about it in my review for The Eclipse...
So... Like most of the people here, I think it was an ok drama, but it could have been way better if the runtime was longer. 30 minutes instead of 15 would have been enough to develop the relationship between the two main characters because I've felt that they never really spend genuine time together apart from work. So we don't really feel it when they confessed. By the way, the confession could have been done sooner instead of in the last 2 or 3 minutes before the end of the show... The acting was also not the best of K-BL dramaland but it was probably better than some Thai BL shows so I didn't quite mind it. I was mostly only bothered but the rushing of the plot.
I really liked the actors and the background music was beautiful but... I had difficulties to understand the story and a lot of scenes were boring to watch (nothing happening for a few minutes).
This was a pretty good series but the subtitles make it difficult to watch as you sometimes don't understand what is really happening, that's a shame... I really liked the concept of the dorms and I also really liked the actors. Sometimes, things can be a bit ridiculous but I'm used to it with Thai BL. I only had a problem with the editing. I felt like some scenes were missing parts for us to totally understand what was really happening. For example, I remember in episode 8 or 9 Ai being mad at Songkram for no apparent reason. Like, one scene they were working fine together and the other, Ai was ignoring his texts and calls and clearly rejected him but there was no explanation as to why he was acting this way. That was weird. I kind of liked the very end as it is rare to see a BL couple ending up with a kid.
Don't know what the issue is with Chimon not opening his mouth, but the love scene was good overall. I'm impressed…
What annoys me the most with Chimon is that we can clearly see that he's not into it and that kind of forces me out of the whole relationship between Kang and Sailom. But I agree with you on this scene, even though his face was kind of stiff, it was well done overall. Perth helped a lot with that.
Well okay. In the beginning, i wasn't to sure about it, but it grew on me really fast. All the characters are…
I agree 100% with what you said. I really loved the series but I felt that the debt plot was unecessary and also a bit too cliché for my taste. It brought me out of it a little. Also, I think they went over some important details like the fact that they both live in the same building. I was suprised to see Phumjai going to Yang's flat late at night for Chinese lessons. But overall, I really liked it. I think the chemistry between the two actors was phenomenal and they really acted like a couple, which is quite rare in Thai BLs...
I didn't expect to like this series that much as the rating is not that good. But it was a really good story with really good characters and actors. I recommend it!
Yes, the dubbing was bad. And I meant that not just because they used it but it was so glaring in Ji Ho and Yi…
I hope it is not a new trend because, even though, I'm used to it in Chinese dramas, I still prefer the original sound and voices of the scenes. But as you said, it's true that in some scenes, we could barely hear them so they probably had problems with the sound, which is a shame. As for my favourite couple, it was also Saifah and Zon in the original version (that's why I hate it because they quickly become the secondary couple), but it is also Ji Ho and Yi Won in this version (and I'm happy they stayed at the center of the story - even though, I was sometimes scared because the focus was more on Sun Woo and Yu Gyeom in a few episodes).
I think he liked yiwon from the beginning, maybe not the very first beginning when they were freshmen but he definitely…
I guessed he liked him for a long time but when he was asked by Yi Won since when he started liking him, he said he didn't know so I was a bit confused because it felt that it was not from the start (of the series). And I've always felt like he acted this way with Yi Won because he liked him. Also, I don't remember much the Thai version but didn't Saifah liked Zon from the very beginning? For Sun Woo and Yu Gyeom, there was a lot of miscommunication and, even though it was nice at the beginning, I started feeling annoyed. Especially when, at the bus station, Sun Woo talked about Do Yeon and Yu Gyeom didn't clear things up when he clearly could have.
I really liked it, it was a nice watch! There are some flaws but overall, it was good and even better than the Thai original. My problems were the dub (I'm not used to South Korean series being dubbed, it took me out of the scenes most of the time), the editing (some of the scenes were not flowing well), some of the characters' behaviour (Ji Ho liking Yi Won all of a sudden - they should have made him like Yi Won from the beginning, it would have been more logical - and Yu Gyeom not telling Soo Won that he wasn't dating Da Yeon - I still don't understand why... It would have saved so much time of unnecessary drama...). But I really loved the actors, especially the main couple, they were really fun and cute to watch.
I usually prefer binge watching Korean BL shows as they are short and easy to watch. But for this one, the ending was planned on June 21 (so I started the show at this date in order to binge watch it) but the two last episodes were actually a week later. Don't understand why and I kind of forgot the feeling of the first 6 episodes as I was watching the end. So this is just my opinion on the two last episodes: good but definitely not exceptional.
Ye Chan is pretty annoying. He can be cute at times, but he is mostly childish and his way of talking is really irritating (I know this is a dialect but the inflection of his voice made me tired to hear him talk...). Also, saying that he is a green flag is definitely not true! Because instead of accepting being rejected and let go, he insists on pursuing Yul even though Yul clearly told him that he doesn't see him as more than a younger brother. And after that, oh my god... Him always entering Yul's house without being invited and him crying just because Yul wasn't home and asking Yul to let him know when he leaves was sooo not right!! He has no right to act like that! It's really a shame because Head Villager Ma's advice about him having to let go if Yul had a boyfriend was a really good advice (after watching Jaab in Step by Step pursuing someone already taken...). So yeah, it's a shame that they had to spoil the only good thing about this character.
Apart from that, I really liked the music. Yul's character was the best among the cast, even though I couldn't care less about his trauma with music.
Unpopular opinion, but am I the only one uninterested in Jane and Jaab's "romance"? No hate to them ofc, I simply…
You're not the only one. I feel really weird watching their scenes as Jen is a cheater and Jaab is clearly hitting on a taken guy. I feel like the writers are gonna make Mon a jerk just to excuse their previous behaviour but that won't change the fact that Jaab has no remorse stealing a guy from another and Jen is letting him do it. I don't like cheaters...
It is not a good series, but it is not a bad one either. The main problem is that the series didn't take the time to develop. Also, 2 accidental kisses in a row... It's a bit too much...
Noey is around 17/18 after finishing M4 as that's the ages of students who move onto M5. Thi is in his 3rd year…
Does retake exist in Thailand? Because I live in France and students can retake classes easily so I would believe that Noey is 16-17 when in M4 if he retook one class.

Noey is 15 or 16 at the beginning of the series. A quick search on Wikipedia about the Thai education system can show you that you enter M4 at the age of 15. As for Thi, I agree, he is 20 or 21, depending if the series starts at the beginning or the end of the school year.
As a lot of people stated, the first half of this series is not that good. I was surprised to read so many good comments for that matter. But from episode 6, the series grew on me as Noey starts to flirt with Thi and Thi seems more at ease next to him. The scenes between them become funny and cute. The only two things that bothered me were Thi's character (I don't quite like his scaredy cat personality to be honest) and their age difference. At first, I thought Noey was in his last year of high school (when he was in fact in his first year) and I thought Thi was in his first year of university (when he was in his third year). So I believed they only had a 2 year age gap when they have in fact a 5 year age gap. But as a whole, it was a nice watch and I recommend this series.
I don't think I'm gonna like this series. Cher is annoying. He doesn't know where are the limits and it is presented as funny but it is not. Also, the story is going too fast! There's only one episode and they're already talking on the phone for hours and Boss is smiling at Cher's mischief and already accepts to change for him. And I've seen the preview for episode 2 and - it's probably a misdirection - but they seem to be about to kiss already! I really hope they tried to misdirect us because there's absolutely no story at this point but we already have the ship...
I've actually picked up on it and that also quite shocked me. I was expecting one of the characters to rebuke…
Of course, misogyny is bad no matter the country but what I meant is that I tend to look past that when I watch asian dramas because they are still very conservative with a 1950s way of thinking. It doesn't mean they're right, it's just that I don't bother.
And the kiss at the very end... Wow!! I replayed it several times because it was so good!
