Xing Keyao rocks! Every time I see her, I'm liking her more and more. She looks tough from toutsiders, but she's a sweetheart to her brother Kelei, to Mika and to Dr. Shao.
I want a sister like her. :)

I think Lu Feng advising XKL and Qing Xia advising Mi Ka is funny. Both act like they're the expert in love, but really, it's all bluster. lol.

Just curiosity on my end...
While I love our leads and their cuteness, but given their supposed age in the series (I'm guessing 26 or 27 since Mika is a doctor and Kelei is a SWAT of few years), I felt like, even on their first day as an official couple, they're shy to even hold hands, more so, to kiss. It felt a bit juvenile, tbh.
And on the other hand, our second leads, it's the girl who's aggressively chasing the guy.
I've noticed this too with other cdrama (some, even have girls' eyes, wide open. As if, they're so surprised that their boyfriend will kiss them and felt trapped). So, it seems for girls, it's either they're super conservative or super aggressive.
So, I'm curious if it's a culture thing? Apologies if I offend someone with this question. I'm truly just curious.

I didn't notice their age gap. And I actually thought that Ma Sichun is same age or maybe younger than Bai Jingting. :)

I love them. They seem so natural together. And it looks like they're having fun acting together and they're making me believe that they're a real couple. :)
I love Ma Sichun since "Love Me if you Dare". I've watched most of her shows, anything that's translated in English. lol.
I'm watching Bai Jingting for the first time in this series. He can act and he's so good looking and being a SWAT member fits him to perfection. I hope to watch more of him in the future.

Based on trailers and snippet of scenes I saw, I don't think they'll break up. And I hope they don't follow the usual trope of C-drama of noble idiocy and what-nots.
Mika will be there during Kelei's operation and recovery and they're happy together.
However, it looks like they'll be separated for a while based on scene where Mika seems to be working somewhere while Kelei's counting the days that they're separated/of her return.
One thing I love about them is that, their love is not rushed and it progressed naturally. Although there's already an instant attraction from Kelei, but he took his time, and as he said, he wants Mika to love him for himself and not because of gratitude from when he saved her 2 years ago.
I love their cute moments together. It's so many I lost count. I hope there are more kisses in future episodes. :)
As for second couple, I agree. Lu Feng seems to be a better fit for straight shooter Qing Xia. There's just too much push and pull on Wenbo's side that it's already a major turn off.
And yay! for Keyao and Yuhan. I hope they do get back together.

He's able to trace the IP Address back to Lion Group, which is owned by Qin Yue's family. And his former boss in XV also helped him. This is in episode 24.

Only 18 and she can act. I love her in Forever Love. I look forward in seeing her in more dramas.

This series shows that a FL can be sweet, confident, sassy and smart. And if she's rich. it's ok too. I love her. Her character is like a breath of fresh air.

Surprisingly, this series is very good. It's a simple love story of 2 people from classmates to husband and wife (no spoiler here, since it's in the synopsis and it's the first scene of episode 1).
While the plot seems cliche, in a way, it's really not. For one thing, Xai Lin Xi, our FL, is beauty and brains. She's really smart. No. 1 not only in their class but in their city as well. She's also beautiful, sassy, funny, warm and rich. I adore her. Jiang Zheng Han, our ML, on the other hand, while he seems like a typical tsundere and lazy in school, he's really not. He's just someone who focus on earning money to support his parents and payoff his father's debts because of his family's business went bankrupt. And he's also really smart in programming, and so sweet with FL.
I just finished episode 20, and so far, no heavy drama (the only one causing the drama is FL's mom, but it's not over the top, so it's fine). All their issues have been quickly resolved. No noble idiocy. No ridiculous misunderstandings. Both leads are very supportive and understanding of each other. And I love that they're very clear with each other. That theirs, while a young love, will end in marriage. It's so nice to see them grow more secure and mature in their love for each other.
Chen Yi Chuan (SML) and Gu Xiao Man (SFL) are also fun to watch. While their love story is cliche, CYC though, my gosh, who wouldn't love a man who's unapologetically a Snoopy fan? lol. And SFL is very supportive of FL.
8 episodes left. I hope it holds up and it doesn't get draggy with unnecessary scenes or have a rushed ending.

Yes. MH didn’t go to that school but her mom’s a teacher there, so MH is frequently there. And it’s why MH is not in uniform.

I just finished this.
Upside of this series, I love, love, love the communication between the leads. In episode 5, when ML said to FL, to paraphrase, "I like you, but I won't court you, I won't date you and I won't do anything about it. I don't see any problem with that.", one of the best lines I've ever heard in a cdrama or kdrama. That got me hooked and swore that no matter what, I'll finish their story. The way they talk to each other is so modern, witty and funny. And even when they argue, they just talk it out, in a regular tone, no over the top shouting. Everything's in the open. And no silly wrong assumptions or misunderstanding. And no stupid noble idiocy as well. I think this is how most couples in the real world talk to each other. It's very relatable.
Downside, typical of a cdrama, the series is just wayyyyyyy too long. 45 episodes! For a simple plot. At the end of the series, my fingers are tired with too much skipping/fast forwarding of scenes. lol. I think it could neatly wrap up, with a really good pacing, in 24 episodes. I guess they need to have it for 45 episodes because of way too many product placements. lol. Which is a shame, because the speaking lines are really good.
And, major turn off for me, my gosh! That ringtone, I'm able to tolerate first 3 times I heard it, but afterwards, it became annoying and a distraction.
Side notes, I may be in the minority, but I actually like the mom and the bestie. They only want the best for our FL, in their own way. So, I do get them.

Agree. The voice is distracting especially since I watched this right after I watched YAMD and in which, I read somewhere that it’s her real voice. And she has a good voice, so I wonder why they dubbed it with someone else.

Ten Miles of Peach Blossom (Eternal Love in Netflix) and Story of Minglan are really good.

20 - MH on PTSD and thought she and SY are already married for 10 years. She asked for divorce
21 - SY pretended he has PTSD also and went "back" to 2020. They had their honeymoon (seduction is epic fail! lol), with their friends tagging along.
22 - MH supposed to go for scar surgery but didn't go because of her concern of SY
23 - SY asked for divorce from MH and they had a very brief separation
24 - MH and SY Wedding! And they live happily ever after. :)

Another thing you can do, also in YouTube, ep 17/18 will come out today and ep 19/20 will come out tomorrow. Where I am, it comes out at 8 am. Both, by default, are in Chinese. But you can go to Captions and change it to English. Sometimes, if you watch it too soon, like, it’s just been shown, you won’t see the English option. But try again after a few hours or so, and it will be there. Translation is not perfect, but close enough.
