I hated him in My Roommate is a Gumiho, but he's a good actor, and his character in this is completely different. I do understand how people can find an actor impossible as a lead when they associate them mainly with villains though. After Young Lady and Gentleman, I am still guilty of skipping everything that Park Ha Na is in, even though she's probably a lovely character in some of them.

I'm sorry, that made me laugh so hard! Normally, I would agree with you, but if you ask someone here (UK) what the Prime Minister's name is at the moment, I wouldn't blame them for not remembering. We've had 3 prime ministers this year, and two monarchs.

When she came out with the "heartbroken" line it felt horribly false to me, and I wanted to look around for hidden cameras. I'm still fairly convinced that half her actions are deliberately aimed at manipulating everyone around her, and that she's working with someone on the filming team to get the results she wants.

I have a nasty feeling that 2FL could be even nastier than we think, and is using the aggressive producer's determination to create drama to make sure she gets inextricably linked in the programme with ML, to the extent that (she thinks) he will give in and be with her for real.

She was afraid that if she didn't make it seem real, he wouldn't agree to stay with 2FL in the programme. If he didn't do that, she was worried that Chae Ri would expose the other girl's trauma as an alternative "explosive" plot line. It was her "noble idiocy" moment to save the vulnerable girl contestant. She could have told him why she was doing it, rather than just letting him think she meant it, but perhaps she felt this was the only way he would agree to it. What she didn't anticipate was that Chae Ri was going to mess things up either way. I do hope Chae Ri isn't going to find another way to get the vulnerable contestant's story on tape anyway for episode 2 of the dating show, but it did seem as though she might.

I had that same horrible feeling while watching episode 3. 😢 I hope we're wrong.

Yes, she keeps saying "as long as the show is still on, I have a chance with you", which really doesn't make sense when the other person quite obviously loves someone else.

Unfortunately, it looks like ML is going to go into "nothing matters any more" mode, and if the hospital malpractice accusations start, he may well tip over into depression again. 😔

Chae Ri is heartless. Everything she does is to get ratings and she doesn't care who she tramples to do it. I'm not sure why so many people seem to love her.

I think this is the idea though... to start off showing her "upholstered", as you put it. Once she gains confidence (which I'm fairly sure is the plan) she might be styled better.

They are right. Re-watch the episodes. He was forced into doing the programme and doesn't want to be there, so he asks her to play along with him, so he doesn't ruin the programme.

Odd casting decision. At the beginning of ep 9 the young Ji Ho looks more like Hae Jin. A good actor, definitely, but it confused me for a moment.

I love Hwayugi. That's my only problem watching the Love Cafe though. Every so often my brain wonders why Son O Gong is gazing fondly into the eyes of the zombie instead of telling her to get into the fridge because she smells. 😂😂
