It's surprisingly good. I was worried that it would be the same tired old Groundhog Day type plot, but I gave it a chance because Li Yitong rarely chooses a terrible drama. It's unusual, and stays interesting. The characters are good, and there is some humour too. I definitely recommend it.
I agree with Marriage Not Dating. It's one that I can rewatch without getting bored.I would also recommend Crazy…
It's SO good. There's a lot of stuff you need to know for the rest of the drama to make sense, so it's all explanation in the first episode. Necessary (so don't skip it!) but not hugely exciting. It gets more interesting by the end of episode 2, and REALLY good by the end of episode 4. It seems at first to be a fairly standard plot, but if you stick with it you'll find that it's really unusual, with a bit of mystery, a bit of romance and a lot of laughs.
Is the ML a serial killer? What kind of Romantic comedy is this?😂😅
I *really* want the writer to surprise everyone and make him a serial killer. This is possibly just because I'm annoyed that everyone immediately decided who was ML and who was SML after watching just one episode. Keep an open mind, people!
They get together at episode 15 but none of them remember the past
The "past" is the future though, so I don't know how the writers are going to resolve it. 1) If they "remember" but continue in this timeline, it will be confusing, because they'll already have met... so will their memories get wiped? 2) If they don't ever recall the events of series 1, but continue in a new storyline, it's easier for the writers, but a bit annoying because we all want both storylines to matter. 3) I'm guessing the most logical option is for them to remember the first timeline, then somehow time-jump back to the wedding day, but I don't know how that would work with the weird Chinese rules about time travel dramas. I can't wait to see what they do with the plot. As long as it's not an "it was all a dream" ending, I'll be happy.
There are so many stories where there is a male lead who seems to be evil but is actually misunderstood because his job involves dealing with crimes, but the FL falls in love with him anyway and is anguished, but then it's a happy ending when he reveals he's a judge/spy/criminal profiler. For once, I would love to see her convinced he's an innocent law enforcer and decide to stay with him, then gradually discover to her horror that he's actually a murderer. Likewise, we see a lot of stories where the lead was arranged a marriage to an evil corporation's son at the start and she runs away to escape it and ends up marrying a nice inoffensive quiet bloke. It would be far more interesting here to find that she falls for the corporation's heir all by herself. Perhaps I'm twisting things because I prefer the character everyone else has tagged as the 2ML. 🤷🏼♀️ Actually, I don't mind which way the story goes as long as it stays entertaining.
I think this is the only PMY drama which made me get bored so quickly. I mean there's no romance or any signs…
How many full length romance dramas actually have any romance in the first episode? It's all introducing the characters and explaining the plot and back story. Give it a couple more episodes before condemning it.
she said if the client want it to be real, she would register with them with an added fee, so ig during those…
She had 12 very short fake marriages before (see the scene where her housemate shows his boyfriend her household register), but the last one has lasted 5 years. During all those fake marriages it seems that she still took on short jobs, like turning up once to a party or meeting or deathbed, or whatever. Those weren't registered. I'm not sure how this new situation is going to work though. If she doesn't divorce the man she's been married to for 5 years, she can't be married to the younger guy too, so whatever actually ends up happening, the synopsis is a tiny bit misleading. It's interesting how many viewers have already decided who is ML and who is SML. Personally, I'll wait and see.
I'm the opposite, I love a good slow burn of course, but sometimes I want to skip all that.
Wow! That's a worrying way to look at romance. If you think there's nothing to look forward to once the main couple get together. I know fairytales, Disney films, etc. tend to end at the wedding, so perhaps that feeds into the idea. However, it's perfectly possible to have a romantic drama/book/film where the main characters are already a couple right at the beginning.
The moral of the story, kids, is when you're in a room surrounded by the corpses of your enemies, MAKE SURE THEY'RE ACTUALLY DEAD before getting all romantic. 😂 For such a short drama, filmed so fast, this was very good. I hope the writers and cast surprise us with another little drama sometime soon.
I would also recommend Crazy Love (the first 2 episodes are slightly slower as they set up the plot, but very worth it!
