This is exactly the type of mindless fluff that I like to watch between serious dramas. Twins, haughty CEO, mistaken identity, car accident, cute scheming grandma, best friend/assistant subplot ... it's got everything.
It'a a very valid point at the end of episode 13. "What kind of face do you think they were hoping to catch?"
That's a strong message to take away. Insisting on photographing celebrities at all times is not only intrusive for the celebrity; it's also very odd behaviour on the part of those demanding and viewing the photos. What exactly are you hoping to see?
This. I was shocked when I saw so many negative comments because I thought the first 2 episodes were decent &…
Absolutely correct. It's best to view every adaptation as a completely new story and enjoy it on its own merits. This is the problem that Woori The Virgin is having at the moment. Too many people are comparing it to the US and Venezuelan versions, and forgetting to see it as a separate story. Watching it as a standalone series, it's good, but all the comments are people saying "BUT they changed stuff....". Adaptation = change.
Yep. I never understand people saying characters are unattractive to them, so they recommend other people don't watch the show. Attractiveness is subjective. If everyone liked the same type of person, most of us would never find a partner!
Some absolutely gorgeous costumes and directing in episode 11. It can be difficult to insert an ancient episode in a modern drama without it seeming strange, but this was done beautifully.
I really don't understand all the people who like the Kang Jae character. He has seemed unpleasant to me right from the start, even when he was meant to be the perfect boyfriend. Perhaps I have only seen this actor play villains before?
Exactly this! This is "loosely based on" JTV, and not meant as an exact copy. As someone who never saw JTV or the original Venezuelan series, I like this drama. It's fun, and doesn't take itself too seriously.
It's deliberate. In the Korean title, the characters for "shooting star" are apparently literally star-poop-star, so it's a play on words in both languages. Very clever.
I like the FL in this, and I don't always like her characters.
In the original American series, she ends up with Rafael. :)But she first ends up with Micheal, and then with…
The early articles about it all said "loosely based on", and it's a very short series, so I suspect they'll go in a more K-drama direction, directly to Rafael and Woori being together.
