The one thing I love about the novel is that these two virgins had no idea what a relationship was but they fought to make it work. It took them a loooong time to finally get physical and when they did...they got nasty. Long and often 😳 😂 Doubt it would be displayed in the series but holy heck!

They had quarrels that made them separate for only a few days or so but they never really separated. There were times they didn't see each other for months but that was only because they were still living their lives and dealing with everything happening around them

I think that's intentional because in the novel he never actually feared Xia Liu Yi. He's not only a screenwriter but an "actor" as well and giving that sense of "fear" was him testing the waters.

People typically think things are happy endings because the couple get back together and honestly...that is what happened but they really, really, really should not have. It was pretty much stockholm and giving up the autonomy to make choices for his own life that they came back to each other in the end.

I love seeing people saying this is absolutely toxic and hoping there is no happy ending. This is milder than what happened in the novel. It was just depressing, horrible, and more depressing. I hate-read it to the end because I can't leave things unfinished. Even with some major changes from the novel to the series this is still just...exhausting for me.

I don't watch trailers since they give away the entire story and I like to experience the story as it comes.

True, the pacing, the story, how their relationship is both going too fast and too slow. It feels like they are just there to witness the murders after they happen and mostly just focusing on the the very slow burn. It's so frustrating but I've watched it this far so I'll try to finish it. Not to mention just how dumb everyone is being both in the police and "The Avengers".
