Once again I've loved this episode from beginning to end but I think my favorite scenes are the talk between Thee and Plub and the talk in the bathroom. I live for the emotional scenes in dramas like this.
JJ seems to have accepted his fate as the designated filler for every weak joke and forced attempt at humor. One…
I get it and also wish they give him with more prominent roles or give him a chance to do something else...but it's not JJ in Burnout Syndrome. It's his twin brother AJ. But again they do the same to him as well.
I love that both Peach and Thee are learning together what being in a proper relationship is in general and what works for them. The fact that Peach has to still ask these kind of relationship questions from his little sister just goes to show how much him being parentified and focusing on her has stunted himself emotionally. I very much doubt he learned how to properly treat the women he was dating, probably he treated them like a sister, and with how much work is taking over his life he couldn't be an adequate partner, so its probably justified that they all kept breaking up with him.
And although they have their comical quirky moments I love seeing a more mature side to their relationship that we sometimes don't get in BLs. But holy heck did I love Thee's sassiness every time he said "Lookpeach".
My man, Mok. Give him all the bonuses and awards for having to put up and navigate Thee's moods because come on lol. He's his personal assistant but he's also his best friend. I do wish, just once like in the novel, Mok straight up told Thee that what he was doing was weird to get him to stop and think before he acts. They kinda did it in this episode but it was more gentle and subtle.
Ugh he is really going to keep going on with his plan to stop his brother IN SECRET!? He actively tried to kill him out in the open and he won't tell their own father?? That's how you get the other brother to plant lies and stuff in his ear and like many, many other shows get the parent killed because 1) They trust the wrong child or 2) they can't protect themselves properly because they don't believe their child is that evil...ugh. People might get hurt / die less if the main characters learn to freaking TALK TO PEOPLE...
Jay pissed me off in the novel and looks like they're still going that route too in the series. Let's see how this all plays out and if it will stay faithful to the novel.
It's a decent start. For me JoongDunk series usually start that way for me and the romance parts happens and sometimes I lose interest. I'll like to see how this one goes.
It started off nicely and and chemistry was there, but holy crap was the story not there for me and Iljo pissed be off so bad in the back half. Made me drop my final rating significantly.
Right!? Like when I was reading the novel I was getting more and more pissed with this dude and seriously, SERIOUSLY…
Yes, agreed. And the see people ignoring that and saying "aww poor Fan Xiao" and trying to justify him just because he was traumatized? You being hurt does not give you free reign to hurt other people. When I was reading the novel I was thinking "how, how would they justify them getting back together again if they do after all the shit he's done."
I always try to put myself in the place of the characters I watch which is how I judge character's reactions in certain storylines and most time I think "That was a stupid reaction, no one would react that way" so anyone still feeling love for this man after every thing he doesn't just sounds like "battered-spouse syndrome" to me.
Iβm really picky with red flags. In fact, I have 3 red flag categorizations:β’ A red flag I fall in love with…
Right!? Like when I was reading the novel I was getting more and more pissed with this dude and seriously, SERIOUSLY hoping they would never get back together because wtf. I kinda wanted to stop reading but my brain has this problem where I can't abandon things once I've started them and even finishing and getting to the ending pissed me off. I love red flag fictional stories but holy shit was this man too much.
I knew we weren't gonna get a kiss until we're about halfway through the series but its still surprised me when it happens!! They are so adorable!
I absolutely love that Peach likes how dramatic Thee is and just rolls with it. He knows that these moments with him are probably the only time he gets to do and say what he wants and he lets him be free. Also how much and willing Thee is there to protect and handle every thing that life throws at Peach now. It's almost too much at times and Peach finds it weird, but he still allows him to do it. Consent is sexy everyone!
Same, I need him to possibly get a role that mores seriously and less "lovable" so I rate his acting range.…
I saw that too! I'm glad they have other full time jobs, studies, and such outside of acting. I'm actually jealous he studied that because I wanted to at one point.
