Oh bless you for I read it as her being unaware of her true feelings. As she always stuffs her feelings down, I read it as her again doing that, claiming to not know why she would be filled with endless ache. It would make sense however that these where XiangLiu's feelings and he was unable to keep a lit on it.

That is also what she is wondering about. I love that actually- before, it was her having 'the upper hand', not showing ppl her true face, now she is left to wonder if she ever knew that XiangLiu. She does speculate that he might be waring a mask on his true face bc masking (transforming ones own face) all the time makes you feel a sense of loss of identity (as she has suffered from before). So, I think, she does hope a little that it is indeed his real face that she got to see.
