Don't blame her too hard. At the heart, she is a good girl, just afraid.
She has always been spoiled so she can not protect herself. Imagine if all you can rely on are the ppl around you that have enabled you to not build anything to protect yourself with. (her spiritual powers are low, she always gets into trouble and has smn else resolve it for her, she is never alone in her life)
When that foundation is threatened, wouldn't you be scared to death as well? But there is nothing to be afraid of, for XiaoYao is an amazing sister to have.

Me, too and now the airing schedule is all over the place. Sometimes we get 2EPs, then they said there will be 0 for 4 days in a row but we got 1 today regardless. I AM SO CONFUSED what are they doing!? When will it be fully aired- also please consider to guard your heart for this is S01. I wonder where it will stop. I am half way through the novel rn.

Originally I thought he simply has not learned to coax for sth he wants. Like usually you would ask a person for sth and they would then be able to decline, not with this snek! There is no declining anything he wants. And his first reaction is always (with XY) to force her! With violence. There is no coaxing! And originally I thought he was just incapable of coxing but then at the beach, he legit coaxed ANing (XYs sister) into luring XY to the cliff and push her into the water- NOW you can sweet talk, boi????

I love his 1 on 1s with XY bc I believe she keeps misunderstanding him on every corner. Whatever he does, she misreads it and he has to come and talk to her for her to put things into proper context. For everyone else, XY seems to be able to tell what is going on, why XL is the way he is and what his intentions are (like he is only there to eat her a lil but not kill her so she is not afraid to die) but then Jing, who has not been home in a decade has a fiancee who he didn't chose, and XY is mad af lol She is just too afraid of getting her heart broken

XL and Xuan both will never try to become a good husband as well. They rather chase their grand ambitions and fulfil the responsibilities that come with their positions, while Jian is trying to get out of the arrangements made for him from birth as we speak but XY does not know when he will be successful at that either, so it is indeed best for her to not get involved with any man and simply help her brother, Xuan to fulfil his dreams- (for now it might seem that way....)

As so enemies that killed him on the battle field can not make use of his body and devour his spiritual power. So he has long made a habit of eating poison to become the most toxic thing ever to die one day. Whoever will eat him then, will have a shit time. I think also that when XiangLiu heard from XiaoYao that she tried to kill the fox that kept her imprisoned for 30years by eating poison herself so when the time comes and he wants to eat her, it will be of no use. At least she will take him down with her.
