You can just skip a lot, I guess? I think most people watching this have already seen similar dramas like "Peach Blossom" or "Ashes of Love" with similar levels of angst and pain. If you're only interested in Zhang Yu Xi, then there is a lot you can just skip. You probably will only end up with a few hours of content. For me, her characters 'relasionship' with Wu Tong is the highlight of the drama and I am so glad I am watching this.

For me, her characters 'relasionship' with Wu Tong is the highlight of the drama and I am so glad I am watching this.
In the novel she did end up feeling "something" for him but she of course did not get together with him.
I still love the actor so much though. How can he be such a monster but then sometimes look so cute!
