I like Janice but I didn't feel there was much chemistry between the leads in this drama :(

I totally agree with you, or would if this would happen in my life or to some of my friends. However after watching many Chinese dramas (and knowing some Chinese people) it seems like they value trust more than truth. That in close relationships lying to protect your loved one is considered to be a good thing, and the most important thing is to always trust that your significant other has your best interest at heart even if the facts would seem to point otherwise. So I guess this drama plot was consistent with the other dramas in that way: ML not trusting FL:s heart was more serious than FL lying. Also FL tried to explain it to ML a couple of times before leaving, but ML did not want to listen.

It gets draggy in the middle but last ten or so episodes are amazing. I recommend you watch them.

Finished this and I have to say their way of handling the two Mo Lian Chengs/Xiao Tans did not convince me. First of all it seemed weird and unfair that Xia Tan was very set on liking only future MLC and not at all the past MLC. She did not seem to be attracted to the man she was originally supposed to be with, and they did not kiss. However when the two merged as one she was ready to accept both of them right away. On the contrary, MLC kept insisting that he only loves the current XT and did not even stop to consider if the other one, the one he has life and dead pact with, is somewhere out there. I also did not get why tha past MLC was "such a gentleman", when the future MLC had originally kissed her by force and tricked her into sleeping with him, so would the past MLC be now the same?

If they wanted to keep this storyline I think they should have used memories differently. Now XT and past MLC only see memories of the other lives, I mean they look at them as outsiders. If the memories would have plunged into them as if they remember them actually happening to them and this makes them slowly become their other self. So prince would slowly become the future MLC until they finally merge, XT would become the other XT when she gets (not sees) the memories from the orb.

What do you guys think? I hope season 3 will give us a satisfying ending.

I really enjoyed watching this, but the ending was just plain stupid. Why did she have to keep using a wig and make herself "ugly". Couldn't she just be herself and maybe combine the two styles for example keeping her face and hair but changing the wardrobe.

Is this worth watching for someone who couldn't finish My Mr. Mermaid?

Was anyone else a bit disappointed in the ending? In a normal drama a lifetime would of course be a happy ending, but since ML was an immortal it's sad to think that their love will be just a blink of an eye for him :( Especially since they both were immortals to begin with. And apparently he has no intentions to tell her his real identity, ever! I was hoping that they would go to heavens together and the original owner would get her body back and be with SML.

Not really. Or maybe one, but they get like ten minutes of screen time altogether.

As far as I know, mostly nowhere :( But two kiss scenes can be found if you put "arsenal military academy kiss scene" in youtube search.

I actually can't think of any romantic scene where they both were active parties. Maybe something light like a dancing scene. But there are lots of scenes where Xu Kai is super romantic towards Bai Lu. Bai Lu's character just responds by being embarrased or getting mad. If you like Xu Kai I think it's worth watching just for his amazing performance! Which is your favorite Xu Kai drama?

Are there lot's of romantic scenes between the main leads or do they spend most of the time apart or as enemies?

I'm glad I knew beforehand of the deleted 90 minutes, it explains some weird edits and continuation issues. However I'm so in need of those missed moments that I might only be saved by another Xu Kai drama where he has lot's of romantic moments! Can anyone recommend me one? Feel free also to recommend some other very very romantic drama, I really need one now :)

Okay I have now finished this and I'm even more confused. Why did she bleed, since both her and the child survived? This whole plot twist was super unnecessary. And was it ever revealed if the ML's mother caused the SML's mother's death by turning the wheel or if it was just and accident? I thought finding out the truth would be the turning point for SML but he just turn from pure evil to pure good for the lamest reasons...

Could this really happen in China? From a western point of view it seems crazy that the court would allow someone who just met their child take him away from he mother, especially since the father wasn't even going raise the child himself but made him stay at his grandmothers! This would never allowed where I live. And have they not heard about joint custody? The mother even had to go to court for visiting rights...

They did not die, the marriage was real. I've never read/heard anyone saying they died in the end, sounds absurd.

Thanks for your reply! You're probably right, but what worries me is that since actor Han was a passive dreamer, was it really him who Xiao Qian fell in love with? Were the choices Han Shuo made the same choices actor Han would have made? But maybe it was him in the dream, he just didn't remember the past. I have to check out Sweet Dreams to find out more :)

I liked the ending more than the one in Oh My Emperor (another similar drama with same actress), but I think it was weird that ML had the same dream but in the dream did not remember his life in modern world. Doesn't that mean the two Han's are not the same persons, but the other one's memories are pushed in to the other one's brain? I think it would have been better, if in the dream ML would have revealed that he also is dreaming. FL would have then wondered if it's only her dream where someone else says they're dreaming etc, but it would have been real for both.

I think the male lead is better in this role in Please Love Me, but as a drama Le Coupe De Foudre is better. LCDF however is quite slow paced and more serious, if you prefer light and fast paced watch PLM.
