Ok so i don't understand the hate DS is getting because of the delusional opinion to degrade one character to prioritise another one. HJP is more guilty for lying to someone he knows than DS for agreeing to lie to someone he has no idea about (in the beginning). Then HJP and DS both lies to her in the other episodes to cover up the original lie. I don't get the delusional idea of blaming a character for something so that you can feel better about another character you prefer especially when that something started from and developed into something worse because of the character you prefer! Some people also say that HJP is more realistic and relevant than DS which i find absurd. Like why would someone rich, successful, stuck in the past and him falling for someone he originally lied to (cliche kdrama thing) feel more realistic and relevant than someone who is trying to be successful, is kind of awkward in communication skills (because he has spent all his time in a cocoon which we all have felt at some time especially at an age like DS), is afraid to lose someone he likes, is scolded by sniors, isn't confident is his abilities and himself (which every being on the planet has or will feel at some point) and most of all try to find things about a situation or a person he can hold on to despite the situation being a mess or a total fail. I feel like I'm the only one in the world who's trying hard to be someone i want to be and have felt every emotion above including failure (which is exactly DS situation).
Ok so i don't get it when people say LS is being toxic in a relationship just because he rejected the FL earlier. Why would a friend (LS), who's unsure about himself being in a relationship with someone else because of his insecurities and trauma, drag another friend (FL) who he cares about alot, into a relationship for which he wasn't prepared whatsoever. He actually cared about her, that's why he rejected her. He thought he couldn't handle a relationship at that point and he preferred rejecting her than to make her go through a breakup and losing a good friend. Not being ready isn't toxicity but humanity. He cared for her enough to suppress his feelings for her because he thought it would lead to a sad ending. I mean he's trying and that's all a human can do. He actually thinks that he deserves the pain because he made her go through pain which in past he thought would be less painful than him being not good to her in a relationship. He's a humanised and realistic character who makes mistakes but is human enough to realise those mistakes and try to fix it to the best of his ability. He is supporting, good friend and affectionate (in his own way) to the FL.
