I laughed so much at the flashback scene from where they first met as kids at the way the young Rin snapped "Speak properly you peace of trash" at Yuu.
Mars is one of those dramas that never lets you forget it. I must have been around 12 years old when i first watched it with my sister. It took me on a emotional journey...it was dark, haggard, sad, but so sweet and romantic in its essence. Barbie & Vic are incredible in their roles and their on-screen chemistry absolutely take my breath away everytime!
I just finished ep 8 and OMG OMG!!! I am head over heels in love!
In some areas this one has the "Legend of the Blue Sea" vibe for me, in that one person has magical abilities, reincarnation involved, romantic comedy vibes, witty and charming male lead and a sassy female lead...with a crazy psycho murderer/villains on loose...and such a charming cast over all, ahhhh.
The actor portraying the demon Jung Koo Won is absolutely gorgeous that he takes my breath away! His expressions, arrogant stance and the self-loving and hella rude attitude...being a childish bossy tyrant into a ruthless predatory devil that takes advantage of the human desparation into making an offer/deal they cannot refuse. How beautifully he lost his heart to his heroine...him always thinking of her and caring for her and ahhhh just their scenes just takes my FREAKING BREATH AWAY!
His chemistry with Do do He is magical! She may be a modern independent woman but she was so utterly feminime mixed with being a badass woman! I could feel her lonely soul, and the way she glows even more after her demon enters her life, lol. I cried in her sadness and smiled at her happiness. Jung Koo Won & Do do He are made for each other! I love this drama so much!
If you watch my Watch List you will se that i watch Thai Lakhorns the most! I actually listed down that i have watched over 100 thai lakhorns and i am so proud of that! Majority of those are keepers as well!
I started watching thai lakhorns since 2013, and over time i have grown to appreciate their language, culture of food, dance and music and even the classic architecture of their buildings and cities (sadly rarely shown in modern lakhorns) and the respect the younger ones show to their elders.
I also think the fruit cuttings are beautiful in thai lakhorns! And the male/female actors are gorgeous from all the generations!!
I am currently re-watching the thai version with my sister. I am falling in love with the main-leads ALL OVER AGAIN! Its one of those dramas that never lets you forget it!
Sila is one of my favourite on-screen Anti-heroes of all time. He is one of this tall, rugged, dark and handsome heroes that almost borders on being a villian with his almost to none scruples of revenge and struggles to keep his humanity intact in a world he feels suffocated in.
The title refers to Sila`s Heart of Stone...only ever touched by his beloved child-hood sweetheart and savior Minta who symbolizes the flower that grows in his heart of stone. Their love-story is so epic in its darkness of despair and hope. I am so excited to see Dai Gao Zheng portray this complex Anti-hero!
I am re-watching this drama together with my sister and i am loving this journey all over again.
This is one of those lakhorns that make you remember it from time to time. Sila`s suffocation in a world he hates, so embittered in his rage and hatred...he was just a kid when he lost his innocence and life. I could feel his torment and despair, his scar always a reminder of his past.
The title "Heart of Stone" does refer to his heart of stone. I cried for him many times as i cried for his beloved child-hood savior and sweetheart Minta. She symbolized the flower that grows into his heart of stone. She was the only light, hope and beauty he had left of his miserable life. The actor did such a terrific job in portraying the complex Anti-hero that is Sila, His Heart of Stone.
Seems pretty impossible to me, I mean Ken was just… Wow…But honestly, a remake seems unlikely to me unless…
I actually watched the 90s version of Prasad Meud starring Willie McIntosh! Ahhhh he looked gorgeous! You are right, it has that Jane Eyre vibe (i love the book by the way!)
Thank you so much for the time in answering my questions about these titles!I will come back when i have my eyes on the other titles as well, hehe. Glad that you are here on MDL with lots of Lakhorn experiences!

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me this, i have been always curious about that one since i got a crush on Willie,LOL.
Can you also tell me what you thought about Dung Sawan Sarb, Dao Pra Sook and Prasard Mued? You don`t have to tell me much, only what made you enjoy those titles the most..?
This hero is absolutely wonderfully charming, sexy and so so insistent and stubborn without even taking it to far..well maybe when it comes to pursuing his heroine but ah i love it! The way he teases her and kissess her just makes me swoon so much! Mik & Pooklook have a magical chemistry and they look absolutely stunning as a couple! Just wow am i glad i picked this up!
Great review! I totally loved this version, fell so hard for the chemistry between Ann & Pepper! Pepper was incredible as Sak, every emotion was so felt through his expression and eyes!
I AM ALREADY on the first ep and i LOVE IT SO MUCH I JUST CAN`T! At first i was enchanted by Pong Nawat`s handsome youthfulness...but already after 10 minutes i am intrigued as hell by our cold-blooded Devil Prince of a hero Sak Sutthakorn who show no mercy to anyone..well except for our carefree and sharp-tongued heroine Kate. Their chemistry is so sizzling, omg. I got so shocked at how obviously attracted he is towards her, ahhh my heart! He is otherwise in a strained marriage with a woman he does love-but do not how to express that love. That is until he knows of her betrayal. He got so mad he probably would have really hurt her if his mum and sister hadn`t stopped him. He will have zero mercy now towards the world...and our heroine.
I finished re-watching this with my sister this time. I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Monthai`s character appeals so much to me in this version. He has a huge temparament and feels strongly, but i love how in time things just made not sense at all for him and the way he tested and tried to find out the truth and finally investigated it all bec Bee absolutely REFUSED to tell him the truth.
I love that we get to clearly see his disgust and eventual hatred towards Viyada in this version compared to 2008 version where i think she got away to easily with her horrible schemes and deeds.
And do NOT let me start on his obvious desire for Beeyachat. Omg the way he never took his eyes and HANDS AWAY from her..LOL
I always felt Yaya & Tor had potential to be great co-star on-screen lovers, especially how wonderful they were together as friends/partners in "Leh Lub Salub Rarng"!!!
One of my fave dramas of all time.
