Who was worse, ML or FL?Not sure, but I think maybe FL, and I'll spoiler why below.....
I loved your analysis of the FL decisions in this drama.
Though in my opinion i felt equally sorry for both of them.
What is unique about this drama is how ML’s humanity gets destroyed along the way and to really see him becoming the villain we rarely see in romantic dramas.
I mean, i sometimes get tired of watching the same ”good ” and ”selfless ” heroes in romance dramas, even Anti-heroes with heart of gold. Its the same formula where the Anti-hero ML never quite manages to step over that line of no return for his humanity-which Jin Chen clearly did just to have her by his side..
I finished this drama over night and i am so overcome with emotions it makes my heart hurt 😭
Jin Chen is a ML in the form of a villain. His love for Yao was doomed before it even started because in a world of power hungry politicians and brothers Jin Chen had to become more cunning,vicious and ruthless than them,at the cost of his humanity which he entirely lost the moment Yao decides to leave him.
His words to her:”You are all that i have left ” was said calmly but firmly,indicating for her to understand (and us viewers) how lonely and starved he is of her love. He sometimes reminded me of Tantai Jin,utterly heartbreaking.
Yao is such an admirable heroine stuck in the never ending cycle. Her anguish and grief,her blooming love turned into cool hatred tied to the knowledge (especially at the end) that she would have gladly accepted Jin Chen ’s blinding love if it weren’t for his past involvement. This is indeed the tragedy of Love & Bid Farewell. 🔥
I felt sad when the news of his break up came out in november 2023.
But life is life. Maybe they will even get back together someday (i am referring to their extreme attachment to each other) since they also have had short of separation (like a time out) in the past as well that did not even last one week bec of how extremely empty they felt without each other, literally Daniels words in an interview with Tito Boy.
Still gonna support this talented actor and artist, excited to see what his next project will be!

I remember watching this drama around the time it finished airing years ago and being addicted to the melodramatic feel to it, and the irresistible chemistry between the main-leads! And i remember crying like the last three episodes.OMGGGGGG SO MANY MEMORIES AND FEELS, *Ah nostalgia*

I just finished Ploy Lom Phet last week and was soooo excited to know that Bee & Namfon had two more lakhorns together! (i think their first lakhorn BIG SIS never got subbed and i could not even find it raw) so i also started Mia Jum Pen three days ago and i fell so hard for these mainleads. Just finished it today!
