There is no season 2 for this drama. It pretty much ended in this one. There is a few extra chapters on the novel that this drama did not show you can read about that in the discussion board above.

Yes happy ending but very very very veryyyy omg verryyy little romance or sweet moments. For a drama with total of 36 episodes, they only officially got together at episode 31. What nonsense? Other than that, it's quite an ok drama, Since you are reach so far, might as well speed watch till the end.
I just finished this today. It's actually not that bad tbh. It definitely doesn't deserve a 7.9 rating. Seeing the rating keep dropping week by week, I was embracing myself for the worst type of ending, but surprise surprise, it's not a bad or sad ending yo. It ended quite pleasantly. I wonder why is people so p*ssed off with this drama. Poor LXY, he has been working so hard and he is such a good actor. But I'm glad I finished this.
omg… the rating dropped to 7.9? I watched until 32 and will be finishing this today. up until now I quite enjoyed this drama and will be the first LXY’s drama that I actually finished. But I have lost count how many times the ML has to save the FL’s a$$ 😅
Liu Xueyi oh Liu Xueyi, why did you always choose drama that flopped. I've not finish watching this drama, I am still at the earlier part of the drama but seeing the rating here dropped from 8.3 to 8.1 the day it ended more or less I know what happened. I really like his Chancellor role here. I will keep watching...one of my friend is already contemplating dropping at epi20. hoboy, wish me luck, give me strength. I really want to support LXY, but too many of his drama failed miserably.
And I'm a bit sad with CGH's ending. I thought they will be friends again. He deserves to be happy... or at least happier. And for you all who hates his gut, dont blame the poor boy, scriptwriter made him that way. If I'm the scriptwriter I will write him in a beautiful romance drama. He make such a perfect red flag ML. hehehehe
