This is not my first drama of Bailu, but I felt in love with her in this drama. I first saw her in One and Only, not my fave drama. But my favourite drama of her was SOKP.

This gives me 'The Lovely Runner' vibe. It's a good short drama. I enjoyed watching this during this drama drought season. This actress was really good.

and the cancel culture over there is mindblowing. They just love to cancel any celebrity. Some really popular ones like Zhang Zhe Han never make a comeback even after many years... and imo, ZZH's issue was very trivial. It's just sad for us drama lovers. :( I am sorry for spilling so much negativity here but sometimes I am just so frustrated with how things work over there.

asaik, there's always haters for every celebrity in China, even Zhou lusi, Yangzi, Bailu, big name like these always has a huge troop of haters, so I believe SZE also has her fair share of hate troopers. Some ppl just breath in toxicity to survive.

It's not as easy as that. Obviously there's someone out there is trying to ruin SZE's career. First the tax evasion issue, and then follow with her exam fraud thing. Until they caught this person or sue him/her, SZE's reputation was tarnished, it doesn't matter the allegation is true or false. You know how toxic and ruthless C-netizen could be. Now I think the producers and investors are still in doubt because everything is still very murky. I think we still have to wait some time...
It's already a few days since SZE's studio make the statement and the tax dept didn't say or do anything to counter the statement. It has been 1 year and there's no fine or any arrest, so I guess she is ALL CLEAR now? And slowly paving her way back to dramaland? I hope they can move faster because she has lost 1 year of her prime time. ;')
