It is very obvious because during every opening song of this drama, she told us she was indebted to a lot of person and she wants to be a good person. She wants to make up for her past regrets and wrong doing. (maybe you dont skip the opening song and listen to it).
So yes, like what Alila Nguyen said, it's JXN's second chance and her redemption story.

I like when Duke Su said, we are walking the same path and perhaps we will meet in the middle. They started off by using each other, then it became helping each other, and then falling in love with each other. Everything happened so naturally.

My advise, do not take AveX seriously. In fact, don't take anything you see or read online seriously. She is famous for roasting dramas and everything related to the drama. I'm used to her style, even when she roasted the drama that I really like. I do find her really comedic and straightforward.

Everyone!! If there is any ML as complicated, misunderstood, smart, cunning, constipated, toxic as Xie Wei in any of the drama in 2024, let me know pleassseee. So far all the dramas ML were just...soso...no one that got my attention, yet.
2023 was too good we have Tan Tai Jin during the first half of the year and Xie Wei at the year end.
and to some of you, maybe Xiang Liu too but I don't think he's the endgame (btw I dropped LYF).

too bad Prisoner of Beauty got shelved. Wei Shao could be my man of 2024.
