Is this PSH's comeback drama??

I was still ok with it until he forced the wedding with his sifu towards the end. I thought he was growing up, maturing and come to term that his sifu is in love with another man. They should have use that very little time left in the drama to grow LTG and YY relationship. But nooooo, the writer still want to rub LTG’s crazy obsession into our face. 🙄

I find YL’s death unnecessary too. I rather he died in a battle. and not as a messenger to an emperor who didnt gives a shit about his country.

Ep 35-40, They have very few scene but surprisingly I quite like their interaction towards the end. And they didnt die 😅

Is Red Sleeve and Bloody Heart similar to that kind of dynamic? I don't see much this kind of tangled full of angst romance around.

Yes, it has been discussed that he lacked of mother and father figure. And this develop into an unhealthy obsession with his sifu. He is like a man-child clinging to his mother. Crying and doing nonsense to get attention.
I also don't see his obsession with his sifu as romantic feeling. He needs love. But the drama over-played that as romance feeling.

One k-drama really got into me, with man/woman tangled relationship that developed into romance was Secret (starring Ji Sung). I couldn't get that drama out of my head. Its exactly like the dynamic in SOKP, how they develop the feeling of fear and hate, into love. Love it!! Seems like toxic but if written and acted well, it's not toxic at all. Just like JXN and XW.

LTG is clearly into dom/sub relationship. Everytime YY snapped at him or taking control, he is low key enjoying it. LOLOL.
At first I didn't like this pairing but they grew on me. And I was hoping they will show a bit of their life in the end, but I was disappointed they didn't.

hahahaha that last scene was so confusing. This is a war series, they fought, and died honourably protecting their people and country. That's it. The end. And I mourn their death. I don't want to know if they went into xianxia realm. LOLOL.

It's still a very good drama. I miss them already T___T

It is valid to feel sad when someone die. I don't know if it's normal to feel happy when watching war and death? And it is happening to our world now.
I am not angry with the ending. Like I said, it's a sad ending, not a bad ending. Accept it and move on.

This drama appeals to me because both FL and ML are not the conventional textbook characters. Both of them are very flawed character and borderline villain. I love it!!

I just finished watching AJTL. I need to watch SOKP's ending again to sooth my aching heart. Almost all period dramas I watched in 2023 ended tragically. I think if there's an award of BEST ending, SOKP will win it.

It's a clear cut sad ending. Dont be delulu, it's not a HE. I am feeling sad all the main casts died painfully. And I am feeling sad the drama ended. No matter how you try to spin it, it's a sad ending, not a BAD ending. It is still a VERY good drama.
Urghhh, now I need to go mourn all the character's death. T____T
