Whoooo is the secondary couple? I'm at episode 28 and I still cant see who is the second pairing that worth the mention. Please tell me is that Emperor and the delulu princess. They do have the best chemistry in this drama but their screen time is...barely there.

I think somewhere around episode 25 things doesn't make sense anymore. Every character seems to lose their mind and things just get even more bizarre. LOL

wowwww the rating keep shooting up and I know why, this drama has one of the bestest most wholesome ending ever. This director know how to play his game, by making a good, satisfying ending, which is RARE in cdramaland.

(I personally think the ending for Story of Kunning Palace is still the best. And this will be second best. happy sigh...)

I am trying to understand here, why do everyone call Aimi a child? At first I thought she is 14-15 but she is 17. Technically she’s a young adult. In Ancient china, typically for women their coming of age is at 15 but in drama they are played by older actresses (sometimes played by actress way too old for that age). So for a country as strict as China, they wouldn’t risk casting Aimi if it is wrong or deem unethical right? I mean they wouldn’t risk not get through censorship. And sometimes in book, the character age is younger than 15 (sick I know..) and to make into drama they have to raise the age to 17-18. Many period drama are like this. One example is Zhuang Han Yan from The Glory.

In Xianxia genre, most of the powerful cultivator/warrior, they will have a demon or mythical beast or in general term, animal companion, or an even more general term, their pet. LOL. but most of the time they work for their master, protect them and do everything for them like a personal assistant.

Oh no, I didnt blame MY and totally understand her situation. She has been living in a lie her whole life, that is why she is SO good in hiding behind the truth. Netflix is still 1 episode slower than Youku. And 1 more if pay express. It's frustrating. T_T
