All the case mini stories in this drama ended badly. Sometimes really unnecessary. Especially the healer story. I don't understand the need for the girl healer (ahying) to commit suic*de. Her character has a bigger mission and she chose to self exit? urgh, this is such a bad message from this story.

I think the rating is legit. I have reached episode 20ish and at this point I keep going because I am Bailu's fan and I also like WXY. This drama is holding at 8+ rating most probably because of their fandom, not so much on the story.

I feel like this case don't really have closure. They didn't solve anything, but just understand what had happened. I know their hands were tied and it's frustrating. Yes, it is very similar to the Epstein case.

What is Li Pei Yi's relation with the Emperor? Is she his niece?

I reached episode 4 and it gets better. LPY is a very cool character but she has a mischievous side. I think she portrays it very well.

I can't believe I couldn't finish this drama and has to drop it at episode 32. I usually like this kinda big family dynamic and women empowering drama (Blossom, Blossom in Adversity, The Glory, The Sword and The Brocade, Story of Minglan).
My very honest opinion, I think they selected the wrong actress to play Rong Shan Bao. I am actually quite disappointed because this is my first drama of Gul and she is quite famous, I thought she is a veteran actress. I compare this female character alot with Zhuang Han Yan (from The Glory, played by CDL), both character is similar in a way that they could hardly show any emotion, cunning and a lot of scheming involved. It is a very hard role to portray and CDL did it so well.
I actually don't know if it's the character or the actress problem, because in this drama RSB has no growth and no weakness, so this makes her a very very dull FL to watch. The other sisters (except the 3rd) has more growth than her.

ohh, too bad. LBL is one of my favourite modern drama and I'm the type who dont really watch modern drama.
Yes, ML is the boss of a company but he is not the domineering CEO vibe. Just like any character from period drama, he has some dark family issues.

Is this your first Esther Yu's drama? If you know her you will know what you are getting into. LOLOLOL. In this drama she actually tone it down A LOT!

For me, LBL is way better than First Frost and The Best Thing, I have issues with that two dramas last year. LOL. I am so happy with LBL and heart felt full. I am watching Speed & Love now, probably will watch Shine on Me too.

This is one of those drama that you don't see actor and actress doing their job, but two human falling in love, like a real couple. They are that good! especially LYX.
