Jackyyyy, yes omg, we LOVE toxic ML, we collect walking red flags like blind boxes. We came from TTEOTM and SOKP, where ultimate red flags roam the cdramaland. But I just can not with this drama. Put a glaring red flag ML with a submissive and inexperience young girl is NOOO, wrong, horrible, itchy, abusive, disgusting. The WORST mismatched couple in c-drama.
I thought the FL from First Frost was bad, no, this one tops all weak, timid, submissive FL.

As a mature viewer, I seriously doesn’t know what to feel with this drama. I kinda rage baited into continuing watching. For those who watched and enjoyed, I hope you know this is a fictitious couple and it only works in the novel/drama. As JBR said it himself, if you ever met a man like LN, run girl, run.
As for Flora, she is someone you shouldn't be in a workplace and in a relationship.

Never in my years of watching cdrama I am seeing such a mismatched couple and I’ve never ‘un-root’ a couple as much as I did for this couple. If either one of them is my friend irl, I will ask them to break up. They are not suitable for each other. They are not the missing piece of each other. I am shouting break up laaaa in almost every episode. If there is a drama that I was ragebaited to watch, it’s this one.

If you like to watch couple with power imbalance in workplace , with a bit of bullying that turn out to be a healthy relationship, go watch Love Is Sweet.

agree, there's no villain or victim. just two very mismatched couple trying to force things to work because they started it wrong from the get go.

Nope, PoJ is not superior. You need to watch more dramas.

They are both red flag. And they need to break up so that they both can learn how to be in a real relationship. It’s frustrating watching them. The break up arc is much needed for both character’s growth.

If red flag is a spectrum, the ML and FL are at the opposite end of it.

8.7 rating yo. I predict it will go up. This is the kind of situationship most people dream to be in 😂
Dont expect too much in modern drama. It’s like a bag of chips, so bad for health but we cannot stop eating.

Finished this today. Yes, one of the best drama of 2026 for me (it has been a slow year, nothing exciting). This deserve higher than a 8.5 rating. What are you guys watching next?

the last 10 precious eps are very hard to go through... the angst level is quite high...

I felt that drag was a bit longer than just 4-5 episodes. since the time they meet up after the 5 years separation, the reunion were very lukewarm. Their relationship and interaction were very different compare to when they were in Ganlin.
I am still at episode 31, and I personally feel that a lot of things could be avoided or resolved better if they communicate.
