It does have the same vibe. Smart scheming ML with a dark secret past. And I loved the big reveal in the end where ZZ was like 😳😳😳 Just too much for this straight innocent man to take in. lol

It's very hard to move on from this. Last time it was TTEOTM, now SOKP. Lulu, why do you always do this to me? Now I am afraid to watch Chasing The Moon next year.

for a lot of modern drama, plot is usually very simple, sometimes plotless. For easy and stress free watching. Just like 'You Are My Glory', one of my friend love that drama so much but for me, it's plotless. LOL. I just watch for the visual.

we (viewer) just ignore that part because we know that it was added in deliberately just to get pass censorship. (FYI, Chinese govn doesnt encourage rebirth/reborn/restart story.)
In the original novel, FL died in first life and woke up to restart her second life all over again.

I do feel that he's kinda forcing her to accept him, with all the stabbing. But that's our XW, always choosing to use the drastic way.

Not that he doesn't want to control JXN, he couldn't! and he's loosing his shits.. He's the one who quickly mentioned 'let's get married' when they *ahem ahem* and when JXN hesitated, he loses his shits again. LOLOL.
He wanted JXN to say 'I am yours' but she doesn't want to. So he said 'I am yours' instead.

Her holding ZYZ's legs to stop him was unnecessary but I dont want to dwell too much on this fact because I am already very happy with this ending and couldnt ask for more. It's just normal that period drama they need to kill some good people. So yea, I wasn't too surprise. I am glad that fake XDF and both XW's bodyguards were alive.

But he hold it all in for too long and when he finally let it out, his emotion was like opening a bottle of shaken carbonated drink. LOL. He's totally out of control and loosing his shits with JXN. He could control everyone and everything but not JXN.

Yea, I am comparing the HE. not the overall story. I couldn't think of any other drama that has a wholesome ending like SOKP, with kids, friends celebrating New Year. I can only think of Destined (with happy family and kids too) but the ending leading to that is quite depressing.

I still havent recover from TTEOTM's ending. lol

I dont think there's any character similar or as good as compare to Xie Wei. That type of cray, I'd never see it before in dramaland. Maybe Tan Tai Jin...
Bailu's character always choose to be with cray ML. lol
