SPOILERS:currently on ep 48......I really love this drama. Yeah ok, it had lots of drama, but I still love it.…
Conclusion:
Loved it! :D It was very interesting and addicting to watch :D It had drama and some exaggerations, but I loved the story.
Also, excellent job for all actors, they were all awesome and convincing :D Loved also the characters, the palace and background scenery, the action scenes, the fighting scenes, the clothing and costumes and the music ^_^
Definitely worth a watch ^_^
Btw, although I wished that the main leads got together + have a happy ending, I loved the version 2 of the ending, it was cute and adorable and they switched roles here :3 The link is below:
SPOILERS:currently watching and on ep 6.....I hate the emperor for being a murderer and getting away with it +…
SPOILERS:
currently on ep 48......
I really love this drama. Yeah ok, it had lots of drama, but I still love it. It was very interesting and addicting to watch.
I also loved that it was mixed, like it had melodrama moments which made me sad, angry at the emperor + his mother, Yu Ra and Ari's mother, shocked and I really wanted to hit them or slap them moments. But, there were moments of comic relief which made me smile and laugh ^_^
Also, for the emperor, I had moments where I hated him and wished him dead, but I loved the moments where he fell in love with Sunny.
It was ironic that he at first used her as an alibi, married her to cover Wan Shik's mother's death, hated her, cheated on her with Yu Ra, treated her badly and finally tried to kill her. But I loved those moments where he fell in love with her and tried to win her over, they were cute moments :) However, I knew deep down that it was impossible for her to accept him back, whether Sunny still liked him or not, since the emperor did many horrible things.
However, the drama is still not over, and we still do not know if Sunny fell in love with Wang Shik or not. In my opinion, she did not.
Yeah, she cares a lot for Wang Shik as for he went through a lot (his mother's death + the bullet in his head) and also she probably felt bad and guilty for being the alibi for his mother's death and he saved her life many times + helped her in the palace + he taught her self defense, etc. But she does not love him romantically in my opinion, she probably loves him as a friend, or as family or as someone who suffered because of the imperial family as well.
Even though I shipped her with Wang Shik many times, deep down I wish she ends up with the emperor, even though they will probably not. Yeah I know, he's a psycho, a murderer, violent, gets jealous easily, has trust issues, bastard, jerk, narcissistic, coward, etc. I still ship the emperor and Sunny together. I know they will have a bad ending for sure, as the emperor needs to pay for his sins in a way, either someone murders him, or he dies in an accident or he ends up in jail for a long time.
At least, I'm glad he did not murder his first wife. Yeah he did push her in the water while she was pregnant + he was busy being jealous because he thought she was cheating on him, but Ari's mother killed her in the end. I did not expect that as I thought the emperor killed her, but I was kind of shocked and surprised.
I can say that Ari's mother is the true villain in the end. Yeah, the emperor, Yu Ra and the empress dowager were evil villains as well, but they are lacking compared to Ari's mother.
Yeah ok the empress dowager as well. She framed a lot of people + killed a lot + used lots of money to bribe people + stole blood for the emperor and Sunny's mother died instead + has paper companies + uses her own children to get what she wants (or tries to kill them as well, Prince Yoon is an example, he is in coma right now, I hope he wakes up soon) + uses others and kills them + finally we found out the secret about the island, as she has poppies planted in greenhouses. But the secret is not totally out yet, as for why she uses poppies I don't know.
I'll continue watching.......for Wang Shik I read somewhere that for the 4 extended episodes, the actor could not continue to appear in this drama due to conflicting schedules, so I'm hoping they won't kill him or something in episode 48, even though deep down the bullet in his head is so serious that he does not have much time left to live so he'll probably die :_(
For Yu Ra, she did many horrible things like she hit Wang Shik's mother's head and lead her to her death + threw her body in a random ditch, even though she cared for her like she was her daughter + cheated with the emperor, did many horrible things, lied and framed others, etc. The thing I hate her the most is that she used her son to get Wang Shik and gain favour in front of the emperor of the empress dowager to get back in the palace + she never recognized him as her son. Her son calls her Noona! That is the most horrible thing for a mother.
Yeah ok, her fiancee disappeared and she probably thought he left her (even though he was hit by a car and taken and locked up in a mental hospital + framed as a lover for the first wife of the emperor), but I cannot believe she could do that to her son. That is the most thing I hate Yu Ra for.
The one thing I cannot believe is that the empress dowager, Yu Ra and Ari's mother all gave birth but they all used their sons or daughters for their own greed, while Sunny who never gave birth turned out to be the best mother in the world, at least towards Ari + she treated Wang Shik's brother, aka Yu Ra's son well + felt sorry towards the emperor for having a bad mother and turning out as he is because of her.
Forgot to mention Sunny. I love her :D She started out as naive and a stupid fool but I love how the horrible things that happened to her made her stronger and determined to exposed all the sins of the imperial family. I admire her for that, I would run away to save my life for sure in I was in her situation. Also, she became smart and awesome :D I also love her smile, personality, kindness and her voice ^_^ It's a shame she smiled her less and less with each episode. She is working hard to expose the imperial family, she will for sure, as she is getting closer and closer, fighting Sunny!
EDIT 1: On ep 51.....
Ok for Yu Ra she was raped that is why she refused to acknowledge her son, it's a trauma but still he is her son and he is innocent so she should not have put the blame on him.
For Wang Shik, I understand that the actor could not appear, but they made him pathetic for the last 4 episodes. For someone, who was so strong and set on revenge, was crashed so easily, tied up so easily and finally he got killed by the bomb. Ok not totally pathetic, he hugged the bomb to reduce the damage, but still I did not expect him to be killed her that.
The emperor on the other hand, changed 360 degrees and became the hero and decided to become Wang Shik. It's kind of an exaggerated change, for someone who was dead set to kill Wang Shik + determined to not leave his throne and his title as emperor. So the emperor buried him (I'm assuming that he did) and decided to expose his mother and end it all. Ok I like the emperor's change but I wish he would have change earlier instead of leaving it for the last 2 episodes + making it feel unrealistic.
Anyway, I should be glad that the emperor finally recognized his sins and doing a good deed. Let's see how it will end.......
EDIT 2: On ep 52......
Finally justice is served and the empress dowager, her assistant and Ari's mother got arrested for their crimes. They actually exposed each other.
For Yu Ra and the emperor, they payed for their crimes by their deaths. I preferred if they showed the emperor going to jail rather than dying. For Sunny I think she still loved the emperor as she cried and after his death, she remembered all the good moments between them. I'll assume that she continued to love him, but we don't know for sure.
EDIT 3: On ep 52 near the end.......
For the trial, I totally did not expect for the empress dowager and Ari's mother to get the death sentence, they deserved it but it's still shocking. At least the villains all showed remorse and guilt, expect for the empress dowager, evil to the end.
EDIT 4:
Ok I got it wrong, I thought Yu Ra died, but she lived and forgot what happened and now she loves her son.
A nice ending ^_^ The imperial family got abolished, the palace is opened to the public and everyone is happy :D Ari is happy as well ^_^ For the ex-crown prince and Sunny's sister, they got together, a cute couple ^_^
Well, concluding this drama, I feel it's more like a bitter sweet ending, but I like the ending, it's a good one :) Although, I still wish that Sunny and the emperor got together.
I hate the emperor for being a murderer and getting away with it + I hate him for using Sunny.
Also, Sunny could have walked away from all this, but I cannot blame her at all, if I were her I would accept to marry him as well. He acted quite well + he was so sweet and romantic + he did nice gestures <3 Uhh I hate myself for liking him as well.
I would probably end up in a love/hate feeling towards the emperor throughout this whole drama.
For Na Wang Shik, he survived a head shot, which is kind of unbelievable + although we know they changed actors, it is exaggerated that they expect us to believe that it is the same person. They have different features.
For Yu Ra, I hate her as well. She managed to manipulate the Emperor to her side but I'm glad she did not totally get away with it. The Emperor's mother got in her way. Well his mother is evil and crazy as well. Who the heck installs cameras in their children's rooms?! + she kills people as well. Like mother, like son.
Anyway, I'm liking this drama, it's very addictive to watch + makes you curious to see what happens next :D + I'm already commenting on this drama very early on lol, which means I like it xD Awesome acting from all actors btw, they're all excellent and convincing :D
The story was not bad, it was cute, light and fluffy + the dogs were so cute :3 And there were parts when I smiled :)
However, it was awkward. I don't know if it's the acting or how the main characters were made or both, but they were awkward + poor communication between them and too shy. They made me feel frustrated. Yeah ok they are each others' first love, but it was too awkward.
I mostly liked her brother, as he mostly helped them, and give them a push :D + the manager of the dogs cafe, he was hilarious xD + the cousin, he was less awkward than the male lead and more honest.
Anyway, it was not bad on the whole. It's nice to watch if you want something light and quick to watch.
I loved it :D Short and sweet + fluffy, great chemistry and a guilty pleasure.
Yeah ok in the beginning I did not like it as they called the lead actress ugly, when she is pretty.
Ok maybe she is not pretty by the korean beauty standards but she is beautiful, pretty and a great actress.
Any way, I liked the message that everyone can be loved in any shape and size and focuses on the character + how well you get on with that person + he/she fills what you lack and makes you whole ^_^
Also, liked the main actress parents + fashion theme :)
Worth a watch if you want to watch something short, cute, fluffy and makes you smile :3
Love this drama! Ok the story is full of cliches, kind of predictable, nothing special and the evil plot of the villains is kind of stupid. It's becuase their 'evil plot' got caught quickly especially Ah Ran, she made it obvious + we know who is the one who actually got her into it, but we don't know why he is targeting Ling Yi Zhou yet.
Moreover, I love the romance and chemistry between the leads. They're so cute, sweet and adorable together! <3 <3 <3 Also, the story is hilarious at times and makes me smile a lot :D
Also, I love Jia Lin's friend Jia Fei. She's an awesome friend, always by Jia Lin's side, supporting her and helping her when needed, especially to help her patch up with Ling Yi Zhou :D I'm looking forward for Jia Fei to end up with Ling Yi Zhou's assistant, they're cute as well ^_^
For Chu Yan, he's awesome as well :D Yeah, ok he did fall for Jia Lin and helped her multiple times, but I'm glad, it did not turn out a love triangle or a fight between Ling Yi Zhou and him. When he got kidnapped and everyone thought he was dead, a girl helped him. I'm kind of hoping he will end up with her, as they had something going on ;D We'll see ^_^ Also, I'm glad he patched things up with his father.
Parts I hated were:
The amnesia part where Ling Yi Zhou forgot about Jia Lin, uhh that's part was sad and hateful.
Also, the part where he manipulated her health results. What the heck! I was baffled, angry and shocked about it. I really did not expect that :0
If according to him, Jia Lin's health was an opportunity to get close to her as he fell in love with her, I'm sorry there's something wrong here. That's not love, but he got obsessed with her + selfish.
Also, he is a CEO of a company, I'm 100% sure he could have gotten another opportunity to get close to her + she's an actress, he could have offered her to do an advert for his company, etc. Ok maybe the writer wanted to change the usual pattern and he/she managed to shock me at least.
Anyway, Ling Yi Zhou realized that he was totally wrong and after many nice, cute and adorable actions and gestures to get her to forgive him, they're back together :) The fake death news of Chu Yan helped them as Jia Lin realized that life is too short and can end quickly + she still loved him so = we get to see cute and adorable moments again :3
Btw, I forgot to mention that the story is not draggy and I'm glad as Chinese drama tend to be long and draggy. However, the story is moving in a great pace without unnecessary and extra plots to fill in.
Also, even though I haven't finished it yet, this drama is worth a watch + enjoyable + a great drama if you want to watch a light, hilarious, short and rom-com story :D Ok the kisses are not that great but you'll still like this drama for their chemistry ^_^
So, I'll shut up and continue watching ;P
EDIT: on 22/3/19
Finished! :D Love the ending + awesome ending for all couples ^_^ The story is nothing special or new but it's enjoyable, hilarious, light and sweet + awesome chemistry between the leads and all the other characters :D
Loved the drama! Very interesting cases and I was never able to guess who the villain was in each case.
Also, awesome acting from all characters. I watched all 8 episodes in one day :D
HUGE SPOILERS:
For Wato, I started to hate her and see her as stupid, as she totally believed that counselor.
Yeah, ok Sherlock did kill the war photographer Wato loved. But she did for a reason because he was going to spread the virus he decided to infect himself with and wanted to spread it.
Also, Wato did see the North Star picture in his apartment so she probably suspected but chose to ignore it and blamed Sherlock instead. Ok but I cannot blame Wato fully, she was brainwashed and had trauma from Syria.
For the last episode, I could not believe that Sherlock died and I kind of expected for her to appear even though we saw her jumping from a building with the counselor.
And yeah we technically did not see her alive, we saw her legs and shoes, so we assume she's alive. How? and What happened exactly I have no idea, but it's a cliffhanger. I hope they continue it.
The first time I saw him was in personal taste and although his character wasn't the best ever, he impressed me and liked him ever since :D I also saw him in Cheongdamdong Alice, Chuno, Sassy Go Go and Another Miss Oh (his character here was the most hilarious! xD)
He's an awesome actor who deserves more lead roles :D I look forward to see his other dramas, especially the latest one Top Star Yoo Baek, I want to see that one ^_^ Nice article btw :D
The story is not that good, it is nothing special and it feels boring and draggy. Even the acting is fake at many times and their expressions and acting looks wrong.
However, despite the acting, I like the lead couple, they are cute together ^_^ That is mostly why I continued watching it.
EDIT;
Finished! It wasn't the best BL story, but it wasn't totally bad. Ok I did not like it for the reasons mentioned above, but I watched it all for curiosity and for the main couple they're so cute ^_^
In terms of story wise, I prefer season 1 when compared to season 2.
Season 2 was interesting in the martial aspects + competitions and interactions between the leads (they were cute and adorable <3) only.
I also liked the rest of the Song Bai Hall family, although I found them kind of useless and they only depended on Bai Cao, the coach and Hu Yi Feng to win. It was actually near the ending of this whole drama that most of them won the competitions. The rest was draggy + I fast forwarded it a lot.
Also, I really hated the beginning where Bai Cao was obsessed with the hair clip Ruo Bai gave her + she linked winning to him coming back, etc but thankfully it ended in 8 episodes.
Also, I hated the part when she blamed herself for Tang Yi's injury and stopped training even though her leg had healed, that part was sad. But she got over the trauma and won the competitions afterwards.
Also, I was kind of reluctant to watch this drama after they changed the actress as I liked the original one, and it took me a while to watch, but I liked this main actress as Bai Cao as well.
Moreover, I liked the main actor, even though it was not Ruo Bai. I kind of knew that Ruo Bai would not appear in the second season, since I heard that the actor did not want to appear again + his character got health problems. Also, at the end of season 1, I assumed he died and that's what they all said in the beginning of season 2.
However, we got lead on that he is alive recovering in America since the guy that Tang Yi loved stayed in America for an important patient. Also, Hu Yi Feng went there and after he came back, he asked Bai Cao what she would do if Ruo Bai is alive, so probably he is still alive. We don't know for sure anyway.
Also, the last 2 episodes were the most useless; not only we got to see lots of flashback but Bai Cao never officially agreed to go out with Chang An (the coach) or told him that she liked him, even after all he has done for her and confessed to her multiple times, uhh! That was most unsatisfying. I really wanted her to him him, yes! She told him that she still has Ruo Bai in her heart! :/
Anyway, the story was not all bad and I don't regret watching it. I finally got to watch it after 3 years and satisfied my curiosity that was stored in the back of my head, as after all this time I wandered about it.
But truthfully, the last 15 episodes, I fast forwarded the most, as it got draggy and annoying at times. So you might like it a lot, might like it average or might not like it at all, so watch it if you want or are curious.
I wanted a kiss scene between Tsukimi and Kuranosuke, but anyway even though it was not official, they definitely love each other, so cute <3
Loved it! :D It was very interesting and addicting to watch :D It had drama and some exaggerations, but I loved the story.

Anyway, loved it! Worth a watch! :D
He's an awesome actor who deserves more lead roles :D I look forward to see his other dramas, especially the latest one Top Star Yoo Baek, I want to see that one ^_^ Nice article btw :D
currently watching.....on ep 5
The story is not that good, it is nothing special and it feels boring and draggy. Even the acting is fake at many times and their expressions and acting looks wrong.
However, despite the acting, I like the lead couple, they are cute together ^_^ That is mostly why I continued watching it.
EDIT;
Finished! It wasn't the best BL story, but it wasn't totally bad. Ok I did not like it for the reasons mentioned above, but I watched it all for curiosity and for the main couple they're so cute ^_^
Finally finished!
