I first watched the taiwanese drama and did not like it, and then later on, I started the manga but did not like it that much either. Can someone tell me if the japanese version is good please? Thanks.
This lakorn is so-so. It's not bad. I love the chef theme and I like the three main girls working together, but the story is not that special just enjoyable + it looks like the focus will be more on the love story between the three couples than the cooking.
Also, it's funny at times and you can enjoy watching it because it's a light story :)
For the couples, you already know who's to end up with whom from the opening song, which loses the excitement to see who will end up with whom.
But anyway for now all couples look cute together:
1 = the main couple (2 chefs) just tease and challenge each other,
2 = the second couple (playboy and dessert chef) are enjoying their time together, but she is lying about her identity, so we'll see how that will end,
3 = and for the third couple (florist and executive) he told her his true identity but since her mother disapproves of rich people, she ran away, so we'll see what happens to these pair as well.
EDIT:
On ep 8.....the story is becoming quite draggy and the problems are ridiculous, especially among the three friends and we see them getting jealous of each other.
Also, there should have been more scenes among the three cousins, it would have made the story better or shown them working together or something.
For the couples, they all clearly like each other, but the story is just dragging on and many obstacles are created by themselves and other characters who are against their relationship, which makes it more tedious to watch.
I'm just fastforwarding to finish it.
EDIT 2:
Finally Chat's mother and his real father got caught about their embezzlement and killing Tod's father. I felt sorry for Chat.
Anyway, the third couple are finally together, just Kun's mother approval left.
Also, I'm glad that the last episode focused on cooking again and made the three friends compete in a competition in the hotel, together with the other three girls from their university. It's funny and hilarious when they were fighting each other :D + then they worked with each other which was nice to watch :) This episode made it compensate for the complications and dragging on in the story + useless misunderstandings that was shown before.
EDIT 3:
To conclude, I liked the story up till ep 5, but then the story focused more on the complications + useless misunderstandings between all the couples and that made me hate that part of the story and ended up fastforwarding.
Also, I liked the cooking parts, especially when the three friends worked together, but then since they continued their second part of their training, they did not work in the kitchen anymore and they worked separately, which I did not enjoy watching + they ended up fighting each other because of misunderstandings and jealousy. I get that they needed to focus on the relationships of the three couples, but I would have focused more on the couples, rather than switching them and they get jealous of each other.
Moreover, I also liked the last episode, where all misunderstandings were cleared up + the villains got what they deserved + the three friends cooked together again + Jom, Kaew and Kun made friends with their enemies from their university and got second place in the hotel's competition, which is good :D + Chat went back to the household and accepted him back even if he is not their relative by blood + all couples officially together + the three friends graduated and engaged, so cute ^_^
One thing I wished was that there should have been more scenes between the cousins.
On the whole, I enjoyed it and I liked the characters and couples, but the story was so-so = 6/10 for this larkon.
Loved it! :D The plot was interesting and loved each case the BGs received. I loved how, especially the main lead got to help their clients. Yeah they got paid and all, but the main lead did it seriously and truly wanted to help his client, both physically but also emotionally. He did not only help his client but also helped others who were not his clients. You can say that he influenced his colleagues in a good way, even of they disagreed with him at times.
For the SP bodyguards, they are good but you can say that they were portrayed useless at times, even with their guns and all. Maybe the message here that guns are not always the solution, I agree but there are times you have to use it when you have no choice because we are definitely not all great fighters like the main lead.
Moreover, I loved the relationship between the BGs, they worked really well together. Their teamwork was awesome :D
I loved how they showed us the main lead's past "mistake" in not helping his client, aka the footballer, earlier on in the drama. I thought they would leave it to the last episode. It was a sad episode, as he was not only his client but his friend. I cried a little. I wonder what exactly happened when he failed to protect his client but he left his side to help children which resulted in failing to protect his client. Blame the bolt that fell.
Also, I loved the episode with his ex-wife. I'm glad he cleared some things up, it's good for their son at least.
For ep 8, I was shocked that the chief died, it was so sad and made me cry a lot. He was essential to the team, he binds them together.
For the cast, they've done a good job, excellent acting. For the characters, I loved everyone one of them, they were all interesting :)
I really like it :D The future messages plot is really interesting, where Feng Ying is correcting the past for the better, thanks to Ji Zi Qi (her future self in 2019).
Also, I'm really curious to what happened between Ji Zi Qi and Feng Ying in the future 2019. I'm like maybe he has amnesia? he is death? (I would cry if he is), maybe they fought? or maybe Feng Ying's father killed Ji Zi Qi's father and the leads could not be together because of that reason? I don't know so I'm really curious!
Moreover, what is also interesting is cycling :D It's the first time I watched a sports drama with cycling. I'm learning a lot of new things :)
Also, I love the cast and characters, they are good :D I love the friendships between the team members of the cyclists + I love the relationship between Feng Ying and Ji Zi Qi, their chemistry is so awesome and they're so cute together! <3 And they look like they already like each other, just need to get together xD + I'm looking forward for Han Sen and Ji Zi Qi's friend to develop their relationship, hopefully they end up together :)
For the villains in the story, Feng Xing Yu is jealous of his brother, as from what I saw it Feng Ying "took" his father's love from him and he is set out to destroy him and his cycling team. Hopefully, he doesn't get his way. In a way, their father seem to prefer Feng Ying, but maybe he is focusing more on Feng Ying because he is trying to get him to work in the company and give him a stable life. That's why he isn't focusing on Xing Yu since he already works at the company and he is doing well. Anyway, that's what I think.
Even though, Feng Ying has a future in cycling in my opinion. He is currently a professional cyclist, and if we assume that they retired at age 35, according to what they said in the drama, he can continue as a coach, because he is already a kind of coach. For his team members, he knows what their strengths and weaknesses are and so he gives each team member different training to improve their weakness, and that's what a coach does. So I do not get why their father is set on getting Feng Ying in the company, or maybe he feels guilty towards Feng Ying. After all, from what I understood, he is the mistress son + he grew up without a father because he was sent to live in the US when he was young + he probably loved his mother so he would prefer Feng Ying.
For Song Wei Wei, she is also a kind of villain, but because of her love for him, (or maybe because he saved her life when they were younger that she loves him), that she is doing bad deeds. At that part when she was giving Coach Shen something in his IV, I think she was going to kill him or something. Anyway, she is doing anything to please Feng Xing Yu and get him to look at her, because obviously he does not love her. He is starting to love the stranger aka Ji Zi Qi.
A minor thing, I am not liking is that 1hr 30mins is too long for each episode, which I'm already finding it a bit draggy up until now. This is because many things happen in a episode and currently they showed us a lot of things in the drama and you wonder what the heck they will show next to keep the story interesting = which makes me afraid that the story will become ridiculous.
This is the reason why I barely watch taiwanese dramas lately, as their stories are interesting but they drag on until the story becomes ridiculous and long. Hopefully, since I like this story, I would not mind if it becomes draggy, at least if they leave the story interesting and makes sense.
Anyway, I will continue watching :)
EDIT:
Hated ep 9, it turned so sad and complex for the main leads. They cannot be together and if they do, one of them is bound to die. I hated it especially when in the future, Feng Ying lived and Ji Zi Qi end up with his brother and Wei Wei killed her, that was ugly.
Anyway, the future got back to how it was originally, when Feng Ying dies, let's see how they can prevent it. Hopefully, they catch his brother before it's too late.
Also, I love how Feng Ying told her about the future messages thing, it was awesome and that helped her future self to know and communicate with each other ^_^
Moreover, it became a bit draggy and complex but the whole future altering thing is interesting. Loved ep 13 when they prevented the bus accident + helped that old lady + Feng Ying called her son, which prevented the bus accident + Feng Ying helped Wei Wei get a good diagnosis = they got a sponsor for the race :D So happy for them! :D
Btw, Han Sen and Ji Zi Qi's friend did end up together, but Xing Yu sent her to Singapore >_<
EDIT 2:
Finished! xD
For a moment, I thought that everything will end badly in ep 16, but Ji Zi Qi made a good decision to send her father a message in the past and everything well without the disasters we have seen throughout all the drama.
The only thing is that the main leads did not meet, that's why in ep 1 they passed through each other and he did not recognize her. It was because they did not meet yet, but she remembers apparently. Anyway, even though they took longer to meet, at least at the end they met at a cafe and we assume that their relationship will start there, I loved the ending :D They can now start their relationship without any disasters involved ^_^
Conclusion, I did like the story, it was interesting but it was a bit draggy. I started to fast forward from ep 9 (hated that episode), but I was still curious to see what happens next. However, even though I kept fast forwarding, the story got better + complex but on the whole I enjoyed this drama. I do not regret watching it :D
To be honest, I did not like it that much in the beginning and also I did find it a bit draggy and weird at times. However, by time I started to like it and I love how they mixed serious moments with hilarious ones.
Moreover, even though it is weird, I like that it is different from the usual korean dramas. Also, the cast and characters are awesome, their acting is good :D For the characters, I liked how we see different sides to it.
For example Yeo Chi was arrogant, spoiled and selfish, but even though she did not change her swearing ways, which is the most hilarious :D She started to feel considerate and feel for others and try to help others. The other characters as well. Even Yoo Bang changed. At first you think this guy is an idiot, but by time you realise that he is witty, kind, honest, tries to help others, etc. I like his character, and of course he is hilarious :D
Also, currently you can say that the main villain emerged. At first, I thought it was Hang Woo because for his revenge of his father's death, but he has a soft side as well.
Anyways, I love the four main characters. I enjoyed moments when they bicker with each other, it was hilarious. Also, we can now see who will end up with whom since Yoo Bang finally felt in love with Yeo Chi, after she fell in love with him from the beginning, whilst Hang Woo with Woo Hee, they liked each other from the beginning, just haven't made it official yet.
Furthermore, I feel sorry for Yeo Chi's grandfather. Yeah he wasn't the best person in the whole, but he wasn't all bad. I just feel that he did not deserve to be killed like that, I'm looking forward to the main characters to catch Mo Ga Bi and get her out of the way. Right now, they are investigating and the 4 of them feel that something is suspicious about the Chairman's death.
Looking forward to continue it :)
EDIT:
Finished! :D For a moment I thought they killed Woo Hee, but she woke up. I wanted to see them getting married though. Anyway, I loved the ending, it was hilarious especially the epilogue, Yoo Bang stayed the same after 30 years lol xD Also, Mo Ga Bi got what she deserved. She was too greedy and obvious.
Although, 22 episodes were a bit draggy I still enjoyed it. I think this drama is worth a watch :)
First of all, it really took me a lot time to watch this drama. What made me watch it, is in my recent interest to watch medical dramas + the fact that this drama is already in its fifth season. So I got curious and finally watched it ^_^
Moreover, I really enjoyed watching it :) I do not usually watch medical dramas, and even though I do not understand a lot of things, I'm learning a lot.
For the characters, I did not like Daimon Sensei in the beginning. I did not like how she could cut things out like not talking to the patients, going out with colleagues or attending doctor's conferences, etc. I see it that it is basic courtesy and it is a way to get along with others + it is how you get along in society + even research has to be done in every field, especially in a doctors' field.
She is not totally wrong though, I agree that it is a waste of time to do conferences, etc, but it is unrealistic to do so, unless you want to be cut out from everything.
All in all, I did end up liking her, she is an awesome surgeon and saves people. Also, her honesty and kindness made me like her even more. She may be seen as rude with her blunt remarks but she does her best with every patient, whether he/she is rich or poor. Even though she loves money (well she has debt from her father's clinic).
For the other characters, they were interesting and some were jerks, but most of them good surgeons and wanted to save life, so it was ok.
The Director was the most annoying one, especially the last 2 episodes, where the patient/doctor wanted Daimon Sensei and he cheated in order to get the media's attention and make the hospital rise to shame, which is despicable. He was from the beginning of this drama till the end using all patients or doctors to get the hospital famous. Anyway, Daimon Sensei still did the surgery so that was ok :D
The acting was good as well :)
Btw, there was an episode where they did not get consent for the surgery and did an emergency surgery. Ok the patient got saved and all, but I did not agree with Daimon in this case. If the patient did not want surgery, I cannot force him/her. The other doctor was right in that case, if I remember correctly it was Hara Sensei's patient, but I did not agree in how Daimon Sensei was acting. Anyway, it was a happy ending so it wasn't all bad and wanted to comment about it so I just mentioned it.
This drama is only interesting to see in how the media can manipulate news for their own gain as I never saw a drama focused on corrupt reporters. However, I agree with penel, I thought it would be more exciting and interesting. I felt that the story is a bit boring and slow.
Also, I do not like how Nakamura/Hayakawa Keisuke is playing the two sisters. Yeah they were the witnesses of their brother, who is considered the suspect instead of his mother, but I do not agree with his method.
Well, I hope that his mother will get cleared from being the suspect, if afterall she is not the one who killed that child, I'll continue to watch and see.
EDIT:
On ep 5 and 6, the story became more interesting and the people he threatened ended up going against him. Also, for the romance part I'm shipping him with the older sister. I'll see what will happen next.
On ep 7 = one of the heads of the police is influencing the media, they were just puppets.
Ok so the older sister and Keisuke's relationship got complicated. I did ship them together but it's like he is using her to get to her brother.
The younger sister made an unexpected move.
On ep 9 = finally the truth revealed and the media apologise + all people involved changed for the better + Keisuke and Yukiko end up together. A truly happy ending :)
HUGE SPOILERS:On ep 29......I wished it was not Nat who killed Pop and attempted to kill Ya, but it was her the…
Finished! Loved it :D Interesting story, excellent acting and awesome chemistry between the main leads xD Also, the story is mixed with serious and comedy moments which makes the story more awesome to watch ^_^ Moreover, good supporting characters, especially Nuan :D Definitely worth a watch :)
Spoilers:currently watching......and on ep 21From the synopsis, I thought that the story will be dark and that…
HUGE SPOILERS:
On ep 29......
I wished it was not Nat who killed Pop and attempted to kill Ya, but it was her the whole time! In a way I'm not surprised it's her since it makes sense that she hates Ya for taking her husband, but I thought that it was Chet who did it on his own out of his love towards Nat. However, she is the one who did it all! I admit she fooled me and the characters of the story.
Let's see how it will end......
On ep 30.....
Finally towards the end and a happy ending. Waiting for the main leads to get back together + Kritt and Ya will probably end up together.
I feel sorry for Nat, she killed, used people, threatened, framed people, kidnapped, attempted murder, etc but I still feel sorry for her. In a way I still wished she ended up with Kritt, but that ship sank. First time I felt sorry towards a villain and wanted a happy ending to her, at least she did not die, as they usually killed the main villain towards the end of the lakorn.
On ep 31....
I love how Nuan and Lert are trying to bring Na and Thi together, they're so cute ^_^ I wished that they showed more scenes between them, there were hilarious, simple and adorable <3 My favourite couples are Thi and Na + Nuan and Lert <3 Their chemistry was awesome ^_^
The steps of when Thi and Na are drunk was so hilarious, I was dying with laughter xD
The main leads are stubborn till the end! But they finally admit that they love each other! <3 I just knew that Nuan and Lert removed their clothes, so hilarious xD
Currently watching and on ep 4......

Conclusion, it was worth it to watch it :D
Currently watching and on ep 4.....
