Finally, a good korean drama. I'm at 5th episode and so beautiful. I like them all. Me happy. Script, chemistry, the story is nice. Till now is a 10. ❤️
the craziest, psychopathic, bipolar, narcissistic woman, reads a letter and slowly heals in 10 minutes.
a mother who accused her child, who mistreated him, abandoned him... in the end she is spectacularly forgiven and miraculously heals without therapy, without treatment just because she read a letter.
this is mega brainwashing for those who watch. there is no such thing. there is no way a person with such behavior can heal and be good in 10 minutes.
and a father who lets his child be tormented, instead of taking a stand.
And after the young adult has to save her again. It is an inversion between roles. Between a child and a mother. He became the adult and she will be always the child.
it seems to me that this is how love and forgiveness are introduced into the Chinese collective with an unimaginable hypocrisy and dissociation.
I think I liked He Ze Q relationship with his mother the most and how everything turned out.
half of the characters don't have mothers. the others half, have mothers and they are so freaking controlling and toxic, poisonous characters. Girls at 25-26 act like they are 12 years old, and they don't have an answer, a decision , fight back against crazy mothers. Castrated men. Men who have nathing to say. Men who are just there, without any kind of masculine energy and inspiration for their sons.
what is this drama trying to prove or inspire?!?!
I feel like I'm dying of boredom by episode 24, and this dull female perspective doesn't inspire me. It scares me. It saddens me.
The korean dramas has dropped so much in their value, script, cinematography etc... old dramas are better, mesmerizing. In the last 2 years maybe 10% of them where worthy to watch. Instead of growing, they became superficial.
The Mother, the grandmother are crazy, actually I would have banned them from seeing his child, his grandson. But also the Father is stupid not saying anything for the best of his boy.
I find Chinese woman crazy... they are not relax at all, don't know to live life to be nice and lovly in the family.
why can't i say no to my parents. why can't they choose what they want. on the one hand i like the respect for family in this culture, but i find it in many cases so toxic, and controlling, especiallythe mothers. Is so disturbing. as the young adults cant have their own choices, wishes, dreams. What I see in many cases is that the parents are not intrest in what their children want, just what the parants want, their projections, expectations. I find it so draining and unhappy.
The rest of the drama is so beautiful. The chemistry of the family is excellent.
So it ended today , I was waiting for it to end . Btw the rating is crazy 9.2 ?? Wow I deliberately didn’t watch…
For me is a 7.5 drama. The begining is great, is captivating beautiful visuals, and beautiful actors, good story. But after it's become a comedy and the FL isshe is portrayed as superwoman, better than all the man on earth.
do you really think that in reality the men in the army are fighting over a woman and a potential husband... it's just mega disappointing. with each episode I realize that I don't like her anymore. she's pretty, has charisma, cooks well, slaughters pigs, fights well... and that's about it. and all the men in the army are crazy about her... she is better then the marchize... this fantasy comedy is really funny. I wonder what we're pursuing ... who is the Jade?
I find that the other female characters are more balanced and beautifully constructed. Without the visuals and the beauty of the actors is a mediocre drama. I loved Blossom more, it was a 10.
what i thought is that she tried to save him because he can't escape ( deserters are punished) and he told her…
in any situation, this is disempowerment and castration for a man. For me personally the propaganda of inversion between roles of women and men is sad.
I want to see her in what they presented in the first 10 episodes, I want to see her empowering, supporting, with confidence with strength.
A woman's trust in her man is miraculous. He is able to move mountains. But this trust needs to be without judgment, savior, or victim behind it. That's what I want to see. A true and balanced role.
and it is a subtle line in which her role is very intensely played on the disempowerment of men. it is sold as an idea: the savior and strong woman. but it is about the castrating female role. it is very subtle for many and very obvious for those who know. eyes to see, ears to hear.
when a woman doesn't trust her man, she disempowers him, castrates him.
What she did for him in episode 26, like sedating him, "out of love and care" that's fake love. It is attachment, it is a subtle inversion of roles that mimics love. It is the greatest trap of disempowerment.
Ooo, she, weighing 40 kg, fought a 120 kg barbarian and won... I'm laughing so hard at this... Superwoman.
ohh and of course she discovers who he is and here we go again... she is upset, run from him... I am so fucking tired of this kind of script... as in Love between Lines (this moment ruining for me everything also)
in all honesty, i completely believed in her strong feminine character, it was a great example for me at the beginning... but she started to disappoint me a lot...
It started so well. And slowly feeling so disappointed. I' m at 25th episode. She become so entitled, total unrealistic. Love the carachters, the chemistry but... yap...
How can a 40 kg woman have such physical strength and courage in front of everyone and also win all the time. A beautiful fantasy. Evan barbarians are scared of her. It's beautiful, and it makes me laugh. And so strange that she cant realise who is he. Such a good romance and comedy.
She is powerful but if you see deeply she disempower her husband, the army, the leader. I did not like this at all. It became a bad childish comedy.

from 10 it drops slightly to 8, for me.
