Yep the ink demon episodes are absolutely amazing . I also loved that fight between the ML and the ink demons. It really showed how powerful the ML was! I am totally enjoying this show ! And the new guy is turning out to be the perfect opponent ! Every episode is amping up the story to the next level!

He has powers yes - but I am on ep 14 and I have not seen much yet . I guess this comment of mine has been taken negatively. I am not adding fodder to this forum where finding flaws seems to be a huge sin.
This is an interesting concept and premise. But I just feel like the FL has just taken over the entire drama. Even though the ML has some powers etc- it’s not like he is adding any value to the story apart from the FL being attracted to him. While I M all for FL oriented storylines- I just feel like there is this imbalance . Even Shu seems to have more shades to his role making him more interesting than the ML. . So this one will be a slow watch for me
Coming from When Destiny Brings the Demon! Had a strong urge to watch this masterpiece again! This is one drama that I cannot get over . It has remained the best modern drama for me and yes I revisit it from time to time and get drawn into the story as deeply as the first time!

Yes he was still powerful and some ways , those things were orchestrated by him so he could get rid of that demon god. But when you watch it first time it is not that obvious
The reason everyone hated the second half was because Sima Jiao is the weakest in this arc. He was so heartbroken and helpless and top it his constitution was very weak because of the 2 spirit fires . And he was going through all that pain. Struggling with the fact that he may have lost that one person who truly cared about him. Watching second time - gosh Chen Feiyu’s acting in this arc is at a different level!!
