Yeah Thank you for pointing out that I am the ‘only one’ who liked this drama so much . And yes Based on my PERSONAL RATING SCALE , this drama is much Bette than some do the so called great ones airing now. And the acting was much superior to some of the other dramas watched too. I guess you and the ‘others’ you mentioned did not watch the same drama I did. Your criticism is not making me change my mind . So let’s disagree on this because this one is a 10/10 for me through out. To me the whole thing seems to be rigged so it would fail .
There is so much more to comment on when I am rewatching. 1. He Simu has already realized Yan Ke’s endgame by as early as episode 18 2. When she asked Yan Ke to flog Jiang Ai in Ep 22 after the latter takes Duan Xu to that prison . That, honestly, was such a vile calculating move by He Simu😂😂. She knew the complaint originated from Yan Ke and she is making him stand up for that person he hates most - Duan Xu. So Yah Ke flogging Jiang Ai is not just a punishment for her - but for him as well😂😂. To everyone it looks like He Simu is favoring Yan Ke but she is actually punishing him.
I have been wondering about that . At this point I think it is deliberate sabotage - even though I did not believe something like that existed before . Because I have seen some frivolous reasons to hate a good drama in these comments
I am rewatching the void episodes and I really feel sad for Duan Xu. He is so helpless and frustrated . He Simu and Yan Ke take turns being cruel to him and Yan Ke humiliates him at every single turn. He did not deserve that . But he is still persistent. He was not being a burden at all- he did not force himself on her to go to the void . She could have stopped him from going but she was fine with it. These episodes really pull at your heartstrings because Duan Xu sees the reality of his situation and the position he is in. While He Simu also has to face her true feelings for him even though she is in denial. Both of them have translated all of this across the screen seamlessly!

The jelly fish will turn into his spirit just like ChenYing did. You got the miracle ending with ‘fate/divine intervention in the special episode. In both cases Dina Xu is able to stay by her side. What other ‘immaculate ‘ ending are you expecting? Pray tell
