This has been my issue with the the drama so far. The investigation so so mediocre and they have the ML, who has the biggest conflict of interest, leading the investigation. And it is a half assed investigation so far. It has been 22 episodes and there are no solid clues about anything . Plus that so called criminal psychologist on the team is completely useless. And yes the FL’s character is super flawed .

I think his actions speak way louder than words . If anything he needs the assurance from her. I agree that she is a cold insensitive character

Was that pill the empress gave to the FL to cure the ML’s poison good or bad? I got a little confused when watching it. Because they also just left it on the table and went somewhere

Also wouldn’t JCY know whether that was his real mom or not because he would have been slightly younger than Wen Peng or same age when mom joined the family . He surely knows that Wen Peng had liked Lu Yan for a long time. All these would have been clues leading him to Wen Peng as a suspect. So none of this makes sense to me

If she were it is a little puzzling that she dod not look him up or save him after she left . She seemed like a pretty caring mom

I am glad Yu Zheng’s antennae went up after seeing those answers

I am giving it a low rating because the story writing is sloppy and the investigation is not not done very well. They also showed a FL who basically took everything into her own hands with zero communication with anyone including the cops about everything she knows . I would say that she jeopardized the investigation with her actions that led to Din Jing’s death . It had nothing to do with the actors. Some of us here feel that they are insulting our intelligence by making the cops so stupid and ineffective. It’s 22 episodes and they have no solid clues to pursue . So please don’t label viewers as just haters . There are valid reasons for the low rating. So far this drama. Is just time pass - nothing wow about it . I have rated this a 6.5 because this story is mediocre . Let’s see if it improves

I mean if she is Wen Peng’s mom , also she looked like she cared about that child, how could she have abandoned him completely that way ? It does not make sense at all

My question would be - why did the mom not take Peng with her when she left the abuser. Also JCY’s dad was a cop why did she not ask for help to get the kid out?

Or insult the intelligence of the audience if I might add- that is the struggle the viewers are having

Yep Wen Peng is one sick puppy . The way he made that girl drink alcohol said it all.

I ma sticking to this show just to find that out 😂. I am just so surprised that an unknown person could have caused so much damage on her life. Also I don’t think it can be it is justified to blame the person next to her like that and make decisions by herself. I honestly wish the ML had moved on when he came back after 8 yrs . This could just have been an investigation drama. The romance is kind of disrupting the whole story

Yeah people were very divided about that drama . I thought it was pretty deep and ver well done / the acting and story were fantastic

Here to Heart - it’s not like she hates him but there are huge misunderstandings

I loved fireworks of the heart a lot too- one of my all time favorites

I still have some doubts about her
