Not sure if we are watching the same show- this one is excellent and so was Till the End of the Moon. They are both quite deep as far as the story is concerned .

Yes - watching ep 15- that boss acts as though she owns him. And this guy he does not feel anything and cannot understand what is going on. The way she talks to Gu Yi at the beginning of 15 was just disgusting and ridiculous. This will definitely cause problems between the leads. She did not have the right to say any of that stuff. I wish the FL were a little more strong and spunky. She has confidence and self esteem issues too and feels she is not good enough - and that comes across. Shen Yue has played the role beautifully

Yep it’s very strange for sure. I usually don’t criticize women’s wardrobes but this one just seemed a little too much.

But corporate culture - at least dress code wise is similar across the world. And that is because a lot of them work with international clients etc

Well with his disorder/ illness romance and caring is never going to be easy. It will all be small shifts. We can’t expect him to be normal. He may improve emotionally and socially a little bit but there is no cure. Yeah viewers expecting a quick fix should go read up about alexithymia to understand it. GuYi will still have to do the heavy lifting even later in the relationship and yes it’s evident that she has some issues as well- her drinking and her attachment to a person like Dianwen and wanting to cure him shows that. It’s complex for sure and that is what is great about it

Yeah her drunken blackouts are in excess. She is an alcoholic. They try to make it look cute and endearing but having an alcohol problem is none of that. In fact they need to stop showing excess drinking on these shows. There is nothing good about alcohol - it just kills your health period!

I work in the corporate world and I have not seen anyone dress this badly even if they are in a lower paying job. Like I said finding better fitting clothes is easy - no one is asking for high fashion. She is working as an editor in a. magazine and goes to interview people etc. you can’t dress that way for that kind of a job. This should be a priority in her job. I don’t like that they show women like this - kind of unkempt sorry creatures .

It makes other people respect you too and increase your self esteem. You have to dress for the job - you can’t go in oversize jeans and an ill fitting oversized shirt. In which world is that ok? Thank you for understanding what I mean

You can dress well and be comfortable . All of this is an excuse. No one is asking to spend thousands of dollars but she is working in a professional space and aiming for a promotion. People tend to think appearances don’t matter but that is not true at all. It does and very much so at work. Anyway this is my opinion
