I'm a Scorpio and I like mysteries at some level but I'm not really a fan. I Have seen Healer and thought it to be just an 'ok' drama even though almost everyone were raving about it. Chicago typewriter I haven't seen because I wasn't interested in it based on synopsis.
Lol as an American, I'm always on the fence with what Joseph says or acts like. I'm either like "okay, I guess"…
As a finnish person same for me when I react to what Julia is saying :D for example, most of the "sauna traditions" she explained I have never ever heard about before this show.
I’m intrigued, but I do like my dramas more heavily romance than anything else. What would you say the ration…
I recommend to watch this. As maybe you can see from my completed dramas list, I gravitate heavily towards romance dramas and I liked Under the Power so much. Even though they weren't concentrating on the romance in the first episodes I'd say it's pretty balanced and the romance is so cute!
Totally agree! I usually don't watch long historical dramas that are kind of hyped up because I always get disappointed but Under the Power was exceptionally good! It started little slow but after few episodes I was totally hooked. One of the best chinese long historical dramas I have watched in ages.
Chef Hua ep 1 now subbed here: https://productiveprocrastination.site/2020/03/03/eng-sub-chef-hua-ep-1/
what kind of schedule do you have for subbing this if I may ask? I am wondering if I should watch it raw now even though I barely understand any chinese (I am just impatient to watch how it goes, love the food shown in the first episode :D and I just watched chef fang and absolutely loved the drama)
I turned 30 last year and I feel like my preference went to the opposite. Like when I was 20-something I preferred actors who were 25 to 30 years old. Now I find amazing actors who are 22 to 28 years old.. I still have my old favorites and I watch their dramas when the plot is interesting (has been like this always) but I have couple new favorite ones too who are at least five years younger than me.
Version: Long | short - short version is only a cut v. and not a remake. Had watched long v. 2x in 2019 (first…
I have watched the original three times and I have noticed some changes in the scenes in this special edition. Not necessarily that many unseen scenes but some scenes that are in the shorter version have additional few minutes continuing the scene which was cut off in the original version or then they are filmed from different angle and the same scene is showed from different angle in the special edition. Just my observation.
I was really waiting for the last episodes because this has been one of my favorite dramas to watch in a while because it was funny, entertaining and there was a little bit of action too. But why, oh why, did they have to pull up that break-up cliche in the second last episode... I was soooo dissapointed! This drama would have been perfect without that..
I read somewhere that there will be no episodes this week because of unsafe weather conditions as they want to protect the cast and crew. Have to wait another week <_<
I used to binge watch korean dramas. Then they came either too heavy or too repetitive (when it was romcom) and I felt like there's nothing left to watch. Now I have been binge watching chinese dramas and I became quite addicted to them. They have a different flow compared to korean dramas which I like. I go back to korean dramas nowadays only when there's a unique plot or story so I am sort of having a break from k-dramas.
Episode 33: Xiao Bai is relieved after hearing that Chun Hua is okay but after thinking that she is most likely…
Yes, GYH does have a happy ending. And the series is more about friendship but there's a cute romance too. I wasn't too fond of the first episodes to be honest because I found FL a bit annoying but it gets better and she grows throughout the series :)
