We all know he is going to fall in love at last but i am really curious about how it is going to happen....I should…
Or ZY will try to move on with another guy and that will trigger even more Q for accepting his feeling. Or developing them because with what we saw Q doesn't seems to have any romantic feeling for anyone so far. Probably because he is so busy and his trauma. I will be a hard road and I just hope it will not appear out of the blue.

EP.7 is sweet yes. So overall, ignore the dialogue and we have a good episode.Ranting ahead, be warned. It is absolutely…
For the 'top/bottom' you will be surprised. When they use app, no problem here because most of the time it's in their profile. When it's in the wild, it's like a mundane talk they have when they flirt each other. Because yes, it can cause obvious issue from what I heard if that talk didn't happen before hand and can lead to some embarrassing stories (but so fun when you are just a side witness :P )

But I wouldn't go as far to say that it's common to all gay men because my circle isn't that big either. But yeah, the story between two "top" being VERY awkward after discovering in bed they aren't compatible, I heard it more than once. And some actually just leave it at that (and some did "other" stuff).

Don't get it wrong because it's a genuine question. I've seen it multiple time here but why all the "..." between sentence ? It's like you are commenting out of breath. Again, it isn't critique but I've seen a lot of people commenting this way and I'm asking myself where did this come from. ^^

Great show. What I liked was:

- The couple is formed rather quickly (but not too fast) and except for one hick-up in the beginning of their relationship they were always here for each others and communicate like real person. So no dumb misunderstanding that drag forever for adding useless drama for example.

- Loved the childish personality of the ML & FL. They both have their flaw without being exaggerated. They have growth. Overall, nice writing for both of them. I still preferred the ML because I was sensible to his gap in his personality when he try to act very cool but he is so childish & petty. :P

- They didn't use the curse that every romance drama used in the last two episodes where they need to break up with whatever reason (sometime really random) for them to finally have their happy ending in the last 30 minutes.

- The second couple is really cute. The family of the FL were lovely. The nurse were funny. Overall the side cast is really strong.

-The "antagonist" isn't a mindless sociopath. He had a proper & deep story. We can understand (even if we still disagree) why he acted this way.

2nd ML is gay.He does seem to have a crazy ex stalker. But its not confirmed yet.
Maybe something really minor near the end of the drama but don't expect much if I would take a guess.

Finished it. And I didn't really expect it but the finale episode was really, really good. I shed a tear with the Karan's Parents scene and another one when Ashi singed for Karan. And it's been a long time since then that I'm still emotional about it.

So obviously this review will not be one bit objective. I loved Karan as a character from start to finish. His goofiness, his dedication, his understanding. God, it's also been so long since I saw a couple actually trying to communicate. I will be honest and said Ashi was harder to love. A little too quiet & shy, maybe ? But in the very late episodes, he did convince me. They were so lovely in their final scenes.

For the side couple, I wasn't into Jinta & Min. Jinta was a bit too over the top and cringe to my personal taste. And their overall acting seemed a bit more clumsy if I would say ? It wasn't bad but it didn't work for me even I wouldn't go as far to say they ruined the show. Like I said, it's just wasn't my taste. But I really loved Rock & Pai both as supportive characters & their couple.

It was a solid 8/10 for me at first but the final episode made me want to give them a 9/10. Great show!

Yeah not for me either. Dropped after the end of episode 7. A lot of useless drama. I really didn't like Soga as a character. And the whole I feel in love because he likes the food I made was rather weak especially if they don't really add more to it after that. But it was still somewhat cute.

Then the ex arrive for no reason except bringing some drama that we SAW so many time before. And when it finally happen, they got together for 1s, they throw a massive "I want to break up" as a teaser (and not as a spoiler for the next episode if you are wondering). Like I know it will surely happen at the end of episode 8 (or 9) like every romance dramas out there (I don't know why but they love doing that even if I think most of us are sick of it) but why teasing that as soon as they finally got together ?

I was barely hanging in there ready to have my fluff and they had to kill the mood. :P I'm pretty sure episode 8 (and maybe early 9) were all about that but that was just a deal breaker for me here...

6/10 but I didn't actually rated because I don't do that if I don't finish a drama.

I also dropped this. It's hard for me to get interested in cooking themed show and this one didn't change my mind. For example, I liked the pastry theme from "Until we meet again" but it really didn't click in this one for sure.

And the romance didn't keep me. It wasn't bad but not really good ? Just basic if I would say. Cliché, a bit overacted but sweet. So yeah, it's a miss for me but it isn't a bad show just probably not for me or it wasn't the right timing, I don't know.

I mostly really liked this show. It was an ambitious project and for the most part it was a success. The fantasy setting was actually really good, I liked how they handle the CGI because it could have been atrocious like so many did before them. The lore behind Garudas & Nagas was interesting and some scene were just beautiful (like this HUGE statue in this festival). The main lead and their romance were good. Not perfect - I've seen better - but it was still enjoyable to watch.

For the part it didn't really work for me was the whole drugs case. Really boring, cliché and unsatisfied ending. I wasn't a huge fan of both previous cases BUT they were at least somewhat original and keep me a bit on edge. But the Drug case, we already know who did it and it take forever for it to end. And when it actually end, they just throw some punch line about justice will won in the end & we had some TV news on the very next that say they actually get what they deserve. Like it was this easy.

They were also to many side characters. The sister/girl friend's ML was so bad at acting, it almost came out as cringe. The 'police officer friends' couple was a bit silly & fun but it made me yawn sometime. The endless 'promise you will be safe' between ALL of the side cast (Grandmas, Sister, Friends, between them) made a lot of filler content and were dragging at some point.

And can we talk about the needless "nude" scene were we saw pixelated ass ? I don't ask for them to be uncensored - I don't need that - but either make the censure more "subtle" or just don't do scene like that. xD

But overall like I said, it was a good show with some unique plot line for a BL even if I wouldn't be mad if they dropped completely the investigation plot because it really need some good writer for me to enjoy it.

On Ready, Set, Love Feb 18, 2024
Overall, it was good. This isn't a good romance drama but a really funny one in an interesting setting (Dystopia). A lot of funny to hilarious moments especially in those "trials". For the romance, it was rather weak but not bad I guess. What really bothered me was we don't really see why they started to like each other except for some superficial reason.

Son-Day: Typical Childhood Memory romance but what they show us was really short and wasn't THAT powerful for them to fall in-love at first sight to be honest. But I guess he was hot and she was cute. Don't ask much.

Max-Channel: Well, he find her hot at first and I guess she find him hot in the end ? They did some trauma bonding with their insecurities so I wasn't that disappointed in them. But again, it's rather weak.

Paper-Chun: The big ??? here. He listened to his song, he texted him, they meet one time and they are in-love. Tada! It was forced so freaking much. Purely fan-service. They were cute so I forgive them. :P

For the rest: Bovy -> Max is hot enough to maybe make her heterosexual (I hope I'm wrong with that but it's what I understood when she talked about it to Paper). And I guess Almond -> Day is cute. Don't ask much again.

Even if I ranted a lot here, it wasn't that bad and they do have some cute & lovely moment but if the Drama wasn't funny I would have drop it if it was just about the romance.

For the ending, yes it is indeed a teaser for a potential S2. For it's meaning, you remember that this PDG was obsessed at marrying her daughter to Son for no 'real' reason except she wanted the best for her ? Well, it was more likely that HIS father was her actual first love (her husband did said she didn't married for love) and projected that into her daughter or he was a bait for her to get a grasp into the father.

I agree with you but what bothered me is that she didn't fight back at all when he struggled her. She knew that Ji-Hyuk was coming really soon. I know that this scene have impact to show the most ugly side of her ex but come on, nobody will throw push line when your life is on the line. :P

so meaning that i wont miss anything if i don't watch the first season? am i right?
Well, it's a little bit more complicated. A part of this story is about the relationship between the two fox brothers who was also a part of season one. They did include flashback in this season so yes you could skip the previous season but it wouldn't be perfect (for obvious reason). Season one is still good if you aren't allergic to fantasy romance. But if you really dislike that, yes you can skip it.

Well, I really didn't expect this. I watched the small trailer and thinking that it will be a little bit superficial, a light comedy and borderline trashy but no no no. Binged in one day. Really interesting stories, great actors and beautiful ending. 9/10

Title Happy Ending
Really short so it's hard to evaluate. I'm not really a fan of open ending but if it's called 'Happy Ending' I do hope it's for some reason. Honestly it almost look like as a trailer than an actual short film. The fragmented release also didn't help in my opinion but it's probably because of a better pay off monetary speaking. And shouldn't matter to the one who just discovers this show.

Title Happy Ending Spoiler
I don’t think this is an open ending. From what I understood, they resolved their feelings/realised they liked…
It's a text book open ending. It mean like what you are actually doing, you can imagine whatever you think it happened after the ending. The person who enter the shop in the last scene could be anyone. Dong Ho, a new Lover, a very close friend or even family. Obviously some scenario are more 'likely' than other and I think most of us would like to believe that it was Dong Ho but they didn't show us that. Probably on purpose because they wanted a open ending for whatever reason they had.

I liked this remake. It's more focused on the two main couples. I will add that the two couples are equally important so I don't think we are in a situation were we have a Main couple & a Side couple. But they are written really differently so it isn't that weird to some to prefer one in particular.

Lee Won & Ji Oh: A funny & quite lighthearted story. The setting ("the BL novel become reality") make them use quite a lot of cliché that appear in BL novel and it often used to make some situation funny or romantic out of nowhere. It's also a Enemy to Lover trope. It was well done even it wasn't very original given the initial plot. If I would want to nitpick, their acting (or how their characters was written) were a bit clumsy & awkward at time. Their scene also have so most technical issues. It wasn't that bothering because the story itself is well written. Even if I seem to bashing them, they are actually my favorite because I really like lighthearted romance.

Sun Woo & Yoo Kyeom: Their story are a little more serious. It isn't heavy or anything like that but they seem more realistic if I would say ? Their acting seemed more solid (but again it could be also because they had less technical issue). They deal with subject like poverty, dilemma & unexpected first love. Again, quite a nice story even if I didn't like the final plot twist about what caused the dilemma. It seemed a bit of nowhere and if it was really the case, I don't know why anyone didn't tell anything before hand but yeah, I nitpick again. :P

Overall what I really liked is that it's short but doesn't seem rushed & it's well developed for both couple. Mostly because they didn't add any side story or unnecessary drama. They were cute, funny & lovely and It's all I was needed at this time. :)

Some of us know that Su-Min’s craziness towards the FL isn’t done yet, so to say that ppl weren’t expecting…
Come on. We had 11 episodes for developing their characters as villains (Sumin & Ex-BF). Remember how they were in the first episode ? Cliché of the most despicable people on Earth. And now you judge a character & how FL reacted at her as "not well written" in one episode were we didn't see that much of them... I know she is the typical sociopath that seem really overused in K-Drama (like Sumin in episode 1 btw) but that hate-train that many peoples seem to jump is quite overacted in my opinion.

And for the 'others issues' I guess you speak about how she handle the ML ? Like give her a break, she is traumatize by "cheater" (ex-BF, Sumin, her mom) and when she is the most happiest that bomb is thrown at her. THEN, she learned about her friend's cancer. THEN, the ex-fiancée is crazy. And THEN Sumin is acting up and bring her Mom to the table. She know deep down he isn't like the others (she went to see him that night) but you cannot expect rational judgement here. At least not now when everything is a mess. Again, reacting as soon as the episode is dropped and saying it isn't "well written' without knowing where they actually want us to go, is way too soon. You could have been right if it's handle poorly in the end, but don't bash an unfinished show.

I like how in MDL you can have people praised a show like no tomorrow and the next episode all you see it's the same people bashing the same drama for no reason. I don't want to spoil anything but ep. 12 isn't bad. The true antagonist appear & FL deal with unresolved trauma. Until that episode everything worked (almost) perfectly and it was satisfying but I didn't see how they could drag this show for 5 more episode without adding some struggle because everything was resolved at this point. So yeah, it was necessary.

Romance?
Probably at some point ("FL" is in the poster to begin with) but it will more like a sub-plot than anything if I would take a guess. The story is about the two young men & their journey to the top.
