Title Contrast
People posting comments on this series love to toss the words Pedophile or pedo (which is actually a prefix which…
Did you really try to argue with just semantic ? What peoples call pedophilia is when someone major is involved sexually (romantically or not) with a minor. Grooming is when a major build an emotional bounding with a minor to gain "sexual favor".

And what do we have here ? A vulnerable Akira that trusted a "adult figure" and that man used that to have sex with him and made Akira believe it was to "help him coping with his situation". You cannot say it was the ONLY way to help him with his issue - facing homophobia & bullying. What he did was grooming and pedophilia. It's just fact.

Sure, the narrative here really sugarcoat it, making it seems he really helped BUT no, we absolutely shouldn't make this by any mean acceptable.

Not sure if it's the reason but the legal age of consent in Japan was 13 until 2023 (Google search so take it with a grain of salt). I'm pretty sure even before it was really frown upon when someone in their twenties had a relationship with a 14y little girl - or I really hope so - but now legally, the age is at 16 at least.

Also to point it out but it's not the first time that Japan media (Manga & anime especially) have issue with this unfortunately. Like 20+y old woman that look like a 10y old child for example. Technically it's not pedophilia but it does cater to them.

True, this drama have this chaotic energy. Also, they never said they will reject the other one once he fall in love. They didn't think that far ahead. :P

I don't think anyone want a romance between a minor student and a teacher. :OAnd if you talk about the teacher…
It depend at how you see it. Personally I also see "Bromance" as queerbaiting (and it make sense as some of them are just BL but censored). They aren't advertised as such but heavily use the hype around BL and Queer contents to "bait" peoples that are interested in it without taking the "risk" of being fully one.

Not saying it's fundamentally wrong or bad as they can be enjoyable and well written but it's just a fact that it's still queerbaiting to some extent.

And if you talk about the teacher themselves, this isn't a BL. At best, it's "fan service". At worse, it's queerbaiting.

Identity Crisis: The Drama could have been the alternative title of this.

The writing for the first 2/3 of the drama was top tier. Not it was "bad" in the latest part but I was a bit less enthusiast. Ji Ling was one of the best character I've seen in a while. Very complex & layered. Extremely lovely also. His partner, Lu Wuyi was also well written. They made a beautiful love story.

The two FLs also had insane chemistry. It made me looking if "sismance" was a word. :P

I also loved the couple Wu Shiguang/Wu Wang Yan - especially the part when they were trapped for a life time in the Star Stone but tbh, after that, they lost a bit of their shine. Still, they were lovely.

Visually, some scenes were just stunning. A true feast for the eyes.

If I would nitpick over one detail it would be the nemesis. Because at how it was written, it didn't really have "one representation" (as its main gimmick is to posses people). We never saw its "true form" in the end - if it had one - and I don't know it felt less epic for some reason. Also, its lore of being a 9 headed snake wasn't really well represented I would say. I mean if you saw only the latest part (without the setup where its head were sealed and the "flashback" in the Star stone) nothing indicate its origin visually or in its behavior.

That plus the fact it's one of those that don't have a real purpose except being evil for the sake of being evil.

Anyway, very good drama. 9.5/10

This is a really good series, but some aspects really bother me.. like ik it's his mission to find out the promise…
Well, he just discovered that "former" Klao died so he need to "continue" this life to fulfill the "promise" and go back to his era. So I don't see a back & forth happening.

why does it say episodes are release Friday and Saturday but episode 6 comes out next week Friday and not tomorrow…
We got 2ep/week for the first 4 episodes. Now for the last 4, it's unfortunately 1ep/week.

Ngl, I got completely blindsided by the second couple. For me he had a GF and the other seemed like the typical SML that will be side lined in the end. I'm not complaining but for once, I just didn't see it coming even if now that I know signs were actually there. :o

It's not necessary. All five couples have standalone stories, so technically, you can watch them separately. Although…
Partly yes. "Fourever You Part 2" have 3 stories inside it: "Beside the Sky" (Tonfah/Typhoon story), "The Sun from Another Star" (Arthit/Daotok story) and lastly "Lately, It's Winter Season" (Tiger/Dueannao) story) that will probably be released around late Summer/beginning of Fall. Each have 8ep so it make "Fourever You Part 2" a 24ep drama. They can also be viewed independently.

Positively Yours way by far the worst offender. Someone mentioned that FL had more screen time with 2ML than with…
"Our Universe" was worse in that regard. He was only "ditched" around episode 10 (from a 12 episode drama). While in "Positively Yours" it was around ep. 6 or 7 (could be a bit wrong as my memory is quite fuzzy). But yeah both of them were so unnecessary as most people liked those drama for their initial plotline "Being pregnant/Raising a child" but they just became side plots to the very overused Love Triangle plot line. (Yeah I'm still sour about those dramas :P)

Like anything new, it's mostly lawless right now. It's starting to move but creating laws as always been a very slow process so yeah, damage will be done and some will avidly profit of this void. Hope it will be sooner than later as we will not be able to stop it.

Title Love beyond the Grave Spoiler
Maybe I didn't fully grasp how the spirit born from obsession worked but... Why everyone never - not once - think…
I mean, he want FL to be happy. He literally give away his life span just to give her senses - for her happiness once he is gone. But it's obvious that FL will be terribly unhappy once he dies. If you can see Chenying's obsession to protect what he loved deeply, the same logic could be applied to ML - with even better odd as his own death would be the trigger of FL's unhappiness. Like, the frozen scene is the best example of that.

I'm just very confused that no one did bring the subject - like it wasn't even a possibility. Like I'm not saying they should be like "Oh, it's not a big deal that you die my love, you will become a spirit anyway" but they act like it wasn't even a possibility to begin with. Even her Left Hand comment about "not being able to appear before her" was thrown at us without proper explanation. It's like in both case they know something we just don't that could explain why.

Maybe it would make sense if the process was better explained as all we know it's that they are born from their obsession they had once dead. And with only that, we cannot draw the conclusion that every characters stated about his case.

Anyway, it's a minor detail and it's probably just to created those heart aching scenes to then adding the final plot twist. But yeah, it wasn't the best display. Still better than the novel ending.

Maybe I didn't fully grasp how the spirit born from obsession worked but... Why everyone never - not once - think ML could turn into a Spirit ? As far as obsession goes, ML is very high imo. First, regaining his land, then FL. He was literally fuel with it.

I'm even more confused about why Lian Ang (Probably wrong name but her Left Hand) said "even if he would turn into a Squid (:P), he wouldn't appear before Simu". Again, why ? It's literally the reason why he would transform into one.

For me, it was 100% sure he would become one. And sure it will take some time to take "human form" but they literally have all the time in the world as spirit anyway. Or again, am I wrong ?

And about the "alternative ending", personally I didn't enjoy it as it's straight up Plot Armor. "You were good guys so here I will save him... And btw, I will also take your spirit power that will conveniently transform you into a mortal!". It isn't a bad ending but it's not a well written one imo. Even if it's apparently the ending of the OG novel, I'm glad they changed it.

That being said, I'm a bit confused at the ending. More in spoiler.

does anyone have any idea when tigernao/lately it’s winter season will start airing after sun from another star…
Late Summer/Beginning of Fall I would say but for now, they didn't lock a date.

The second couple of this season is really great! In the end for me it was: Arthit/Daotok > Johan/North > Tonfah/Typhoon > Hill/Easter. Maybe it's also the format as for me 12ep made both stories of season 1 a bit dragging. 8ep was perfect.

Not sure about this particular case as I didn't see this drama tbh but those ceremony awards are just show to praise someone else back in their own circle. Oscar, César, you name it. Sometime it's in sync with the popular opinion and sometime it doesn't. And apparently, this drama wasn't part of the circle (or some were closer to it at least).

Nothing choking, nothing new as this type of "scandal" happen almost everytime.

Pretty sure Tim was very adamant at not selling the house. In the first few episode, his lawyer friend said the same thing - sell the house - but he rejected the idea because it was the only thing he had from their former life.

That being said, yes, them popping out of nowhere was a bit odd.

"I don't care why you watch something or who your favorite actor is, but don't talk about acting if you don't…
Just ignore it as I don't see peoples acting like that seeing your post and say to themselves "Yeah, I shouldn't do that until I educate myself". You do you but it seems rather pointless with undertone of gatekeeping.

And I don't fully agree with your first statement (even if I do understand where it come from). You don't need expertise on a subject to have an opinion and expressing what bother you on something. It's just... Normal ? Again, they are just subjective opinions and I don't think anyone take them as objective one.
