I think it can be viewed as a case of "which came first: the chicken or the egg?". It's a dilemma or a paradox. For ZX & ZZ, they are the real one as they played FC & GZ for a movie. But for FC & GZ, ZX & ZZ are part of a novel story that tell their story. They are like the reflect of each others.

As for the part about Guo, yeah like I said, a lot is "not said or shown". Sometime it isn't necessary but sometime it confuse me a lot - like the first part of this episode.

Ngl, I didn't fully understand what they tried to show us with Han Lu & his "sponsor" (?).

I don't know if they tried to explain if he was coerced or not in this situation. I didn't understand why Guo overacted this much like it was his own fault. Also did his sponsor threaten him in the hotel ?

Also, what's this bet ? I mean I understand Hao Yu gained money and it's somewhat related to Han Lu & him but other than that, I have no clue what's the deal with it and why Han Lu is so mad about it.

Yeah, I just don't get the story between those two characters tbh (except they love each other but are also a onscreen CP ^^'). The others two couple also have a lot of not said or shown but we can guess what's happening I feel. Am I just dumb or I'm not the only one confused about them ? :o

It's often a thing in Yaoi/Shonen-ai - where almost all BL J-Drama originate from -, the whole "gay for you". It isn't much about sexuality but more about the whole "the only one/destined one despite this one thing that make us cursed lover" plotline Romance overuse. It could be social background, blood feud, huge misunderstanding in the beginning or like here, wrong gender. :P

Yeah the fact that Phatsa was completely unaware of Alpha & Omega being a thing is really puzzling. I mean, it doesn't seem like a "hidden society" like it could happen with vampire or werewolf as everyone seems to know except him. So it's fair to guess that in such world, you should learn at least the basic at school.

Did he lived under a rock with his father ? But it wouldn't explain how it could be such long time friend with Ongsa.

Tbh, the whole "I don't know anything about Alpha & Omega" seems more like a badly written way to explain how the omegaverse works to every viewer in the first episode.

The whole Durian scene was waaaaaay too long. I mean, sure it's probably "exotic" for the time but I don't think those chips were worthy to send anyone to heaven. They even double down with the fried fish scene right after.

And unfortunately, I don't think it's a one time thing as the newly introduced characters was the famous desert maker that his grandma talked about in the first episode.

Personally, I just didn't expect this drama to focus on food. Was the former straight drama also had this plotline ? :O

I personally enjoyed it. Not a masterpiece but it was entertaining. As for the Romance between the lead, it isn't some passionate love story that will trigger firework but more like a cozy night close to the fireplace. It's more logical than emotional I would say ? Some would say more mature & practical but it does make sense because of their previous experience in love.

She decided to move to Senegal for work - to find "herself". He wasn't thrilled about it - even suggesting to break up because he believe long distance relationship are doomed. In the end, he still give it a try and even accompany her to Senegal for a short trip.

I don't think ML's character was created with a "badass" vibe in mind. He is a sickly prince with a very cunning mind. I will also add he have a "carefree & jester" vibe. Honestly in most Historical drama, it would be reversed. FL would be more akin to the this ML's character and ML would be more like the this FL's character. You can clearly see that the "badass" vibe was in FL's character for example. They just decided to switch the dynamic. So I personally don't think it was a issue with the actor or the directing/writing. It was a choice made from the beginning for the story.

That being said, it's fine if you prefer how ML & FL's characters are written usually in those historical drama. Personally I enjoyed this switch as it was refreshing. ^^

Yeah, I was also curious about that fact. Tbh, for me, I saw that only as "fan service". It doesn't make sense for the story but it's a HE that most peoples will long for. Personally, I saw it coming - the fact that he will come back alive - it's just that I expected it to be more like the FL. That he will reincarnate into someone else body and not literally come back from the death by some miracle medicine.

So... Did ML really die or he will be in a coma ? :o

It feel weird that they would kill the ML definitely in a romance so I think it would be the later. But in the preview for ep. 5, he didn't appear at all even in ghost form. I'm really intrigued.

Did the mother really cross dressed her son just because he was "cute in it" ? The reason seems a bit too light and I don't know, she seemed depressed, in distress & overprotective in this scene like something else happened we don't know. Especially since Little Chiharu said he did that "to make her happy" like it was something not usual, a goal to achieve.

I may be reading too much into it but did she lost a daughter and this was just a way to cope with that fact ?

Regardless, it was not fair to Chiharu but the second she heard him say he was uncomfortable, she stopped immediately so that's that.

First, it's the one who poisoned the Crown Prince most likely as they mentioned "the poison from the foreign merchant". That being said, I also suspect it's a woman because the carriage and the pouch are lady-like.

So, which woman have the charisma of being the main antagonist and gain from this plot ? The "obvious" response would be the mother of Prince Lie & Xin. But it's a bit too obvious especially since she isn't that "smart" as she was out-played by FL quite easily.

So if I would take a blind guess, I would suspect the Empress Dowager. Why ? She is too nice & lowkey so far. But other than that, I cannot guess why she would do that.

Or maybe it's just an unknown character but I doubt that.

More Fantasy than Horror tbh. I don't really mind as I'm not very fan of jump scare or gore content. Quite fun & entertaining so far. A good start!

Ok, sensitive much. Welcome to my block list as I really don't care about any "fanwar" and you seem really unhinged about it for some reason.

Don't know the history in this comment tread so I will give you some grace as yes some people do target specific actor/actress... but where did I said anything about the actual actress here ? My rant about the FL was about the character and how it was written, not the actress herself. Those inner monologue are just badly written and made me cringe every time. Personal opinion here, you yourself can love them whatever you want.

And about the Coach. You are right, I don't know the actor. Like most actor/actress as I'm not particularly interested or a "fan" of any one. I just said he was fine as "he didn't bother me" but he didn't impress me either (again, the character not the actor himself). I stayed mostly for the boys tbh. And again, it isn't about their acting skill and who is better or whatnot. Their characters were just more appealing & interesting for me.

And lastly, I do know this actress. Like you said, she is popular, it's hard to miss her if you watch regularly C-Drama. I loved some of her work and some I didn't - like this one. Not BECAUSE of her, but because I just didn't like something in those drama and this time it was her characters and this sociopath plot line. It was as simple as that.

Anyway, like I said, I dropped it so I will not coming back most likely. So that's that. :O

Dropped. I didn't expect Skakespeare level of writing but yeah between those cheesy inner monologue of the "Blank face starring into the void" FL and the "WTF was this sociopath plot line ?!" I just cant.

I loved those boys and their struggle. Absolutely no problem with them. The Coach was fine also. But the FL just doesn't add anything imo.

And the nail in the coffin was really this messy plot. I mean, the guy killed a little boy because the girl he liked spoke to him online..? Sure whatever. Being a "sociopath" is an easy explanation. Still lazy but fine.

But then what ? He killed him and moved on ? I mean as far as I know, FL didn't have any further contact with him and literally didn't know what happened to the boy except a final angry text "I hate you!". At some point he also said "Even when I had money, she still rejected me." So he did it for the money..? And when it didn't work, he just move on with his live ? Ok again whatever. He was just a Temu sociopath then.

But what was this "plan" to caught him ? First of all, it's obvious when they first come to see him that it wasn't for "therapy". He isn't dumb, he has a PhD in psychotherapy as far as we know. But he just took the bait and got caught..? By this "plan"..?

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Just needed to vent because I felt I wasted my time on this. Dropped/10
