I would say, it wasn't a easy watch. Not because it was heavy but mostly because it was at time very confusing at what they tried to show. The artsy & philosophical vibe didn't help I would say. Some other time, event occur "off-screen" that have major impact on the current story but never truly explained. Like for example, the bet that "exploded" the relationship between the second couple. It was suddenly brought up, didn't explain any detail on it but it was a major turning point for the second couple. I really believe I missed a episode or a scene but it wasn't the case. It wasn't the only case of that.

Despite that, it's a very good drama. Very unique especially coming from China and being a BL - maybe I would even say it's more a Queer drama as it doesn't really follow the usual BL troop. 8,5/10

If you can't read between the line, it's your issue. The man controlled everything about her life. It was textbook psychological abuse. Could she left him ? Asked help ? It really isn't that simple in those case. And when you learn the way her husband dealt with the situation when he found out about the cheating, you can see it wasn't a "safe place". I'm even more sick that he especially got out of his way to bring the child to witness it.

So yeah, at this point who care if she cheated ? And just saying they didn't excuse the behavior, it was just "understandable" for anyone with empathy.

Just one thing I don't understand: Great doesn't try to hide he isn't Gaew. He doesn't try to stick to the old personality's body, doesn't hide knowledge he shouldn't have and even use modern slang on a daily basis. My point is, he just doesn't hide it and doesn't seem to care. Well, even all the others character just seem fine with how odd it seems.

So... Why do we have those scenes that have vibe like "Did I get busted ? Did they discovered my super hidden secret ?" :P

Personally it make me laugh but I don't think it was the intended vibe they tried to set - I mean they heavily use this thriller bgm. So what's the deal ? Is he really afraid of being caught or it was really for comedic effect ? :O

Would Min-Hwan's Mother really "forgive" him for what he did ?

He killed his brother, didn't feel guilt for what we saw, killed another person and then tried to kill another one - who happened to be the one with her son's heart. I know she didn't per se say she will forgive him and just that if he was without any support, she will be here for him but... I can't understand.

I'm not a parent, it's maybe why but it just felt off. Especially since she appeared really tender or caring like it was not that big of a deal. :o

Like some peoples said, strong start but it lost its touch in the finale episodes. I wasn't bad but clearly an uninspired ending. It least they didn't ruin it. 7.5/10

Not really a jab at this drama in particular but High-school BL J-Drama have a strike of "Popular Kid x Loner" troop this year. :O

Obviously we have the currently airing "After Moving Seats, the Boy Behind Me Has a Crush on Me". But this yeah we also had "School Trip: Joined a Group I’m Not Close To" and another I don't recall the name but it was about a Basketball players and another student that bonded firstly with some rock band music if I recall correctly.

They are all good dramas so I don't mind that much tbh but it just strike me when I saw this one. ^^'

Yeah compared to Ep. 5, this one was much better. I still find the background music overwhelming and bland (and that bell sound headache inducing) but I will just continue to lower the sound to get past it. It's a shame because the OP & ED are great music but so underused for some reason for those generic one they keep using. :/

It's messy, in a very bad way. The writing is bad. Like Bad bad. It completely failed at explaining properly the world they live in - except maybe the omegaverse itself but it's another issue I will talk after.

The Devathitirat family ? Mafia or Huge conglomerate ? They act like Mafia but so far, except wearing gun, being attacked randomly by "opponent" we know nothing about or what they want by doing so, it just feel off. Honestly, it just feel they wanted gun fight to show us how "cool" they were. No real purpose than that - story wise at least. And as for their "business" again, it just slapped on them for their image of a "rich & powerful" family. All we know is that they fight for some land and... That's it.

Phatsa background is also a mystery. We did had some answer about his parent but as to why he is completely clueless about the world he lives in is unexplained.

And lastly the omegaverse. They explained how it works. I'm familiar with it so it wasn't a issue but they did a good job I would say. BUT. The way they explain thing is just so freaking lazy. Like previously said, Phatsa is completely clueless for some reason so it's a open door for any information dump when needed. It just feel so unnatural and doesn't flow well at all. That and the repetitiveness of those. Nakhin, we get it, you don't care about the secondary gender of your partner. You also don't need to recite them again & again (Alpha, Omega, Beta). The others couple have similar issue when they overexplain or repeat information but yeah, my biggest grip is against that couple (Nakhin/Ongsa).

Tbh, when the first trailer was revealed I remember it was around "ABO Desire" airing time. My very first thought was that they were trying to capitalize on the omegaverse hype this show brought. I could be totally wrong. Maybe it was a project made long ago as didn't dig any dipper. The timing was just... concerning (for me). But now seeing this, it feel very superficial and rushed so maybe it wasn't just some random gut feeling. It could still be wrong - again. But now, I don't care enough to dig and at this point, it doesn't even matter, the result is here and I would say, I'm not impressed.

Still, I would probably finish for the sake of it but that's it.

It was worse for me because I was confused about who was Sangnuea in the first place as I'm just bad with name. I still vaguely suspected it was the Omega Phatsa saved in the first episode and tried to hook up with every Alpha he encounter BUT when he just hooked up with him in the same exact bar he was setup I was like "Was I wrong ?" because it would be so stupid, right ?

So I needed to check it here to be sure and yeah, it was that stupid. I don't blame the character at this point, it's just the writing that really bad.

Agree! That some audacity this dude have! He even call her a "Jewel" now. The worse is he will try to get her back - by any mean. I know someone who will NOT be happy with that. I literally have no respect for both of them tbh. I even feel pity for Madam Yu. She is probably the main antagonist, but she have some class at least. :P

Sure but let's not have double standard here. Fuse is also cheating now. Tbh, they just need to talk & break up. I was more annoyed when she stopped him for doing so than the cheating. :P

Guys, who was the guy that helped Xiaofan in the end ? I don't remember him have any friend or even someone he trust. And as I'm partially faceblind, I just can't recall him at all.

It was fun. Ngl, at first, the cop character seemed so serious that I was a bit thrown off when he totally broke his characters with the movie scene or the cockroach thing but it was cute. :P

Yeah when I saw those thread on their head, it's the first drama that came to my mind. Fated thread are usually around the finger or wrist so yeah, I also never see use it that way except like in "S-Line". But here, it's more about their emotional connection (Family, Friend, Lover, Antagonist) than sexual relationship.

Ngl, it sure isn't the first way I would think for doing that, not even the ten firsts but tbh, I'm not surprised it did actually work. And the whole "Nah! It's me first! You can go after I jump!" just had me rolling. :P

Personally, I don't get why the cheating part was involved in his break up plan. Like we saw him trying to break up with him but he just couldn't say it and not because Rin didn't "let him say it".

I mean in the end, when he say at his birthday party that he wanted to end their relationship, it could have ended here. So what with the two month of two-timing ? I also don't get why they did that on their social either like it was completely normal when apparently Rin & Krit were also actively sharing their relationship on social. Way to say "Look! We are cheater!". x)

It's like they forced this for him to appear the "bad guy" in the break up. No need for that. Peoples break up all the time and not only because of cheating, betrayal or worse. I mean, hearing Krit side, Rin was quite inconsiderate & self centered as a boyfriend. It can be reason enough to leave this relationship, no need for a "bad guy" here.

And when it was finally over, both of them didn't seem that bothered by it. Like you said, Krit seems to move on pretty quickly - I can understand as it was over for him a long time ago apparently - but Rin except being very hurt by the betrayal don't appear that sad about the end of their relationship. Don't know if his "Khobfa Project" distract him and we will have this mental breakdown in later episode but for now, I don't exactly see sadness here.

Well, me that was expecting a slow burn like most J-Drama, I was surprised that it was THIS fast. Not that I'm complaining, it's a nice change. ^^

If we talk about the same makjang, Romcom always had some element of it or they were straight up it. Tbh, korean comedy is mostly about absurd coincidence and plot twist that is the root of all makjang so it doesn't surprise me to see element of makjang in their comedy.

Really enjoyed the drama. At first, I didn't have much expectation but in the end, it became one of my favorite this year. Both leads were lovely. The ML was just a huge sweetheart. And I enjoyed the FL's antics. She also had some really genuine scene of joy - loved her smile! The side cast was also very solid. They are all veteran actors so it didn't surprise me.

As for the story, the pacing was good. I didn't feel the need to skip anything nor did I get confused like when some dramas speed up brutally like they forgot they have very few episodes left. I kind of saw the final plot twist coming (but I suspected it was related to the FL for some reason) but regardless, it was really emotional.

In the end, I binged it in one day. Not everything was perfect. The second couple felt very underdeveloped. It made their romance plot line unnecessary. And lastly, for some reason, some fighting scene felt... uncanny. Maybe I'm paranoid here but they gave me the feeling that some were heavily edited. Like with AI. Especially the boxing tournament with the younger boxer. Something just felt very off.

Anyway, for me it's still a solid 9/10.
