The writing was really off. They used so many repeat in both main couple. We got 2 to 3 scene where Phatsa is insecure about the love being tied to the forced "bond" and like 3 to 4 scenes where Nakhun explained he didn't love Phatsa because of the bond but because of him. Same with Nakhin & Ongsa. They were the worst offender tbh as their WHOLE plot was just Ongsa being insecure about being a Beta and Nakhin saying he didn't care about his secondary gender. LIke 5 to 6 times. On repeat. Again & again. :P

I saw someone below saying they were rumor that the script was writing by IA ? I mean if anything, I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL. And lowkey, I hope it was because sorry not sorry, the writing is that awful.

To the point, I cannot even judge the acting. What could they have done ? Like in the finale episode. The whole "pregnancy" being hinted. Nakhun craving Shrimps & Sweets. Him having Nausea. It was fine. I got the message. Then, another scene about a unknown scent that was a mix of both of them. Cute but I already got the memo.

BUT THEN they made another one. And oh god it was so awkward. The whole crying scene about the hotel. I was like "Is it about the over-sensibility of pregnant women (man in this case) ?" but even then, I was really confused about why the hotel was even a trigger. The explanation ? "You slept with someone in a Hotel..! Y_Y"... Eh... Was it really the best you could find ? Phatsa, no need to faint, I will book a doctor ASAP just because of that reaction.

Anyway, I'm trash-talk this to much. Overall, despite the writing, it wasn't the worst thing I ever seen - it didn't make me want to drop it at least - & weirdly, it was entertaining. 7/10

Is Linqi’s sister attracted to Lady Du? What’s up with those glances? Even going under the table to stare…
Yeah I'm also very confused about that. Is it a Girl Crush ? But... It's a mainstream C-Drama, a Historical one at that. I would be HIGHLY surprised if this crush would blossom into something romantically. So it's probably just admiration. But yeah, a weird vibe is going on especially since now we kind of know that this Lady Du will probably stir some trouble. That flower plot was way too convenient to happen "by mistake". She is aiming the ML.

Title The Edge of Horizon Spoiler
I will start saying that it was a very good drama. Both main leads were fantastic in it. But I didn't come to say this.

Chat's Character. He have everything to make me hate him. He is selfish, egocentric, throw tantrum after tantrum, he cannot talk properly as yelling is his default mode and he disregard human life as if they are nothing. But he have this "innocence" in him. The best way to describe him is "a Child in a Adult Body".

So yeah, I hate him but cannot hate him completely as he is weirdly endearing for some reason. Tbh, it's the first time I'm that conflicted over a character that is really "not that deep" or complex. Ngl, I hoped at some point he would redeem himself to make me not as guilty to feel this way toward him - the endearing part. But he didn't. So yeah, I don't want to find him cute but he managed that... And I hate you even more for it Chat (but I secretly root for you nonetheless)! :P

It was more a move to know what exactly is going on to navigate around it more safely. With that information, she didn't actively entangled herself - like informing the ML. If anything, she is doing everything to avoid it.

Ep 6:My problem with our young madam, is my problem with most Royal or noble characters. They want to enjoy wealth…
The "brain" of her operation was her former main maid that was casted out by her mother-in-law. Herself wasn't that smart I think. She is also completely uneducated as she cannot even read or write. The seal plan was made by her ex-lover.

As for her character, she was born in wealth. And well, becoming entitled isn't a rare case when you have such background. She was also "scamming" slave and while we obviously see that as wrong on so many level, it's a modern PoV. At that time, slaves were truly seen as livestock. They even believed that themselves. Sure some found this quite unfair but overall, it was just how their lived their lives and was just seen as "normal". So in her mind, she wasn't even doing something fundamentally wrong.

Didn't know what happened in today episode but Nat's acting was really off. The crying during the confession was... weird ? And the whole scene with Thee... It seemed like he had a seizure. Sometime I just was confused if he was laughing or crying. Hope it was just a one time thing (issue with the time, directing or Nat's limit in acting, don't know) as it wasn't that bad so far - not Oscar worthy but better at least.

Ngl, I can of get why Sun's Father hold a grudge against Bay's Father. Even if it was some sort of misunderstanding that the "recipe" was stolen, he did open a shop that sell the exact same thing just across the street. From a business perceptive, it's incredibly rude. And while it's a bit unclear, they were friend at first, no ? I mean Sun & Bay were childhood friend and lived close, it seems fair to assume that both fathers were also somewhat close.

Anyway, my already low esteem for Bay's father dropped even further with this episode.

Bay dad is a piece of shit 🖕🏻 I had already noticed that Sun's father had much more affection for his son…
Yeah. Deep down I hoped at first that he initially reacted this way about Boat because he wanted to protect him somehow. Gossip can be very hurtful when you are already at a low point but this time I can't defend him.

I really liked this drama. Both leads are flawed with a flawed relationship. It made them quite "real" as C-Drama have a tendency to make their leads a bit "too perfect" for my taste. And yes, Episode 20 made me cry like a baby.

But I need to say something. The actor playing Luke was phenomenal. He was truly the main character of this drama. I watched this with my own Luke and we both cheered for him everytime he was on screen. We will really miss him. :'(

Obviously, I'm talking about the dog. :P

He was really a cutie patootie. <3

Joke aside, it was one of the best Modern C-Drama of this year. 9/10

Really enjoy it!

Just one thing that puzzle me bit: They keep complaining Wan can't act. But... They casted a complete rookie with literally 0 experience in acting just because he was the "Perfect Uke" or "Perfect Sky" visually. Wasn't it expected that he wouldn't be able to do it ? I mean sure, Wan is unprofessional to not even bother reading the script but where is his acting lesson ? Oo

But in the end, he isn't an actor or even a Idol in training for that matter. He is LITERALLY some random they found on the street.

At this point, we saw him going to a Beauty Salon, a Shaman and filming a commercial. I'm saying this because of the preview. It will cause another issue and apparently it will be Third job to help him ? Not his own agency ? The freaking acting coach that just keep yelling ? Make it make sense! :P

Is that really a thing ? I mean I saw some BL with very questionable acting so... Maybe ? xD

Title Don't Be Too Emotional Spoiler
A bit of a miss for me. Mostly because it seems I had completely wrong expectation about this drama.

They sold me "Big Jane" as a Devil, a Red flag, someone who studied psychology. I fully expected a Psychological Thriller with a Toxic Romance twist. I expected this character to be Cold, Manipulative, Calculative and Calm.

But overall while he wasn't a green forest, he leaned more toward being a Green flag than a Red one. He was Hot-Headed & Spontaneous. He didn't try to manipulate everyone, he just did whatever he wanted in the moment regardless of obvious consequence.

Like his Favor Game. Another point that mislead me. You would think he did that with a purpose, with a goal in mind. But no, he just did it because he could and he enjoyed it. It's maybe just assumption on my part but it's because they never explained why he did it in the first place. We also never see him using those favors. The whole thing is that "it come with a price" but actually, did we ever see him gain anything from it ? No. The only time he was "paid" for one of his favor was for an off screen event and it was just to mislead everyone he is a bad guy (Put's death).

Some events also gave me "hope" that my expectation were right in the first half. Lil' Jane's Brother conveniently becoming a Gambler addict leading to Lil' Jane entering in contract with Big Jane & Put's sudden death like I said before. Surely Big Jane have something to do with that. But no, again, the former was just a coincidence & the later was really just that. He died suddenly off screen and even picture Big Jane as a Green Forest in the end.

So, he was mostly misunderstood the whole drama by me (and every other characters in the drama btw) as a Devil. At some point I understood that I was wrong. Nothing was hidden, every scene needed to be taken at straight value. A bit disappointed but I can deal with that. But then, those characters didn't get the memo. They blamed everything on Big Jane. Well, even Big Jame himself. To be fair, everyone blamed themselves for random thing at some point. It made thing frustrating to watch at time.

After all that, I was still confused about Dan's hate toward Big Jane & the Father situationship. Well, episode 12 happened and... Well... Dan go crazy and we have a very brief flashback about his parent unalive themselves. Of course Dan blame Big Jane for that but we don't have any detail. So... I was feed up and x5 the rest of the finale. I briefly saw Big Jane's Father smiling and be happy for the newlywed breaking even more what I expected to happen.

Overall, I don't think it was a bad drama ? It's really hard for me to say as like you can see me ranting quite a bit, I just expected something completely different so yeah, I didn't enjoy it. As to why I will not rate this.

Dropping it. I didn't expect this "love triangle" to last until the last episode (as it seems to be). For me it was just a background setting at the beginning of the story but in fact, it's the whole story. The back & forth is just tiring.

Anyway, I don't enjoy it anymore so yeah, no hate on this, but it's just not my cup of tea.

Pretty good. Taiwan BL has always been my favorite one but tbh, they didn't produced anything relevant recently. Glad "Connecting to You" filled a bit of this void. It wasn't perfect as the second part was a bit weaker I will say but still very enjoyable.

Chiakai is a very lovely soul. The way he talk, express himself and even walk made me think he was on the spectrum. Not sure if it's truly the case as it's never brought up at any point but it's how I felt this character. Anyway, it made him quite unique in my eyes. And Tawei was just perfect for him. Strong, reliable but with an unexpected clumsy & vulnerable side. They literally lift each other up.

Anyway, I really enjoyed it. 9/10

i’ve just learnt that the songs are AI, so I’m taking back what I said here a few days ago: i absolutely don't…
Tbh it get harder & harder to tell especially for music. I think one of the biggest offender in this is how songs are produced nowadays. Most recorded songs are heavily edited by software making them by default don't sound like a natural voice would... Even in live representation, some artists still use software to transform their voice live. Everything AI does can feel a bit "artificial" but in the case of music, even made by human, you can feel the same thing.

In this particular case, I also didn't catch it could be AI. The song with English lyric seem completely legit for my untrained ears. Hell, he even seem more human than most modern songs tbh... It make me feel sad as I genuinely liked this song but I just cannot tell anymore. In one hand, I obviously want to support true artist and in another hand, I just can't differentiate them. Some songs I believed were AI were actually made by Human and some made by AI feel more genuine than human one... :/

Do you know what all those pretty little fireflies in that beautiful intro represent?
In Asian culture, Firefly can represent the soul of dead people. Or the one that can guide them.

Like the pilot, the "thriller/fantasy" plotline seems a bit... out of place ? I mean 3/4 is about a regular University romance that Thai BL have done numerous time by now but they just added in middle a subplot with a Idol Murder mystery & a touch of fantasy with this Air Pod thingy.

I'm not confident about this one tbh but I hope it will work somehow. ^^'

Khobfa did a great job in the wooing department, Rin was cute but a little stiff at times, and I can write a who…
Yep they totally fail with the 2nd couple. If they were your usual "broken antagonists that you hate but still feel for them a bit in a corner of your heart" it would be fine. Except here, they even aren't that great as antagonists. And even less as a couple to root for.

As antagonists, I'm just completely clueless as to why they needed "to be a fake couple". The only reason we got was "Rin wouldn't let me go other wise" - and that rub me the wrong way extremely tbh as it's plain dumb or a very narcissistic take. They should have just broken up like normal peoples. Or if they really wanted antagonists, a real cheating plotline would have been fine. Not that in-between that just feel dumb.

I wish I could just skip their scene but the FOMO always get me to watch them anyway... :/

I enjoyed it but I expected a bit more from it tbh. The gaming/streaming side was... Not really researched I would say. I'm no expert & my knowledge is pretty basic so it made me wonder if they didn't even try to know how it was done at all. It's a bit of a shame since it took a great part of the screentime at that.

Anyway, that aside, the main couple was cute and I enjoyed Thi's antics. I'm a sucker for silly & goofy characters. Soh make the couple more balanced as he is more grounded & calm. The second couple was also interesting. A bit undeveloped I will say but it did the job at least.

And yes, the final scene confused me a bit. We got the life update of everyone except the main couple for some reason - even the 3nd forgotten pairing got its scene. ^^'

Nothing more to add tbh. My overall impression could be like "Good but forgettable". 7.5/10
