Hahah people have reccomended me to watch Miss Hammurabi so I think I might give it another shot before blacklisting…
Miss Hammurabi is good so I second who recommended it. But I think it's because it doesn't really focus on Go Ah Ra's character but everyone around her as well.
I find this drama to be very relatable its a great drama overall. I do not know how people could feel otherwise.…
But necessarily you need experience to know how to communicate effectively. Communicating with a partner can be 10x harder when you have no idea what you’re doing. So she shoots herself in the foot a lot. She did try in some episodes but she didn’t know how to effectively say what she wanted and ended up avoiding it which is even worse.

i agree with what you're saying. but how is she supposed to know how to communicate with her lover if she's never had one? knowing how to communicate within a business is not the same as with a partner. She was basically treating it like a business transaction while also applying the little knowledge she's picked up over the years about relationships. I personally don't see anything wrong with FX other than being a victim of circumstance.
I would just like to suggest watching the 2003 Kimi wa Petto before the remake. Very different feels.
The early 2000s for japanese dramas were the best. Always loved seeing Horikita Maki (Nobuta wa Produce, Hana Kimi) and Matsumoto Jun (Gokusen, Kimi Wa Petto, Hana Yori Dango) on screen ^^
I've seen only 2 dramas on this list and those 2 I highly agree with. The others are on my list because of strong female leads ^^ can't wait to start Itaewon Classroom once some more episodes come out.
I remember buying the DVD in this random Asian movie store in the mall in high school. I always wanted to watch it and back then it was hard to find good quality movies online so I said wth and bought it. Don't regret my decision and rewatch it almost twice a year. It never gets old. I haven't seen requiem though

I think I'll continue to skip the Korean version bc of it being cute. The japanese movie had the right amount of angst and melo which is why I really enjoyed it. So I don't really consider it calming, but I get why the Korean version would be calming from what I saw haha
I'm pretty sure from the comments, you can make this into a series haha I enjoyed Love 020 (one of my favs I can rewatch whenever I want something chill) and WWWSK , they were great bc they were so relaxing and not complicated.
Some of my "relaxing" and not too complicated drama suggestions: The Liar and his Lover; Go Go Squid; Marriage…
Well Intended Love wasn't complicated but it sure was creepy lol I also agree with everything else 100% from the ones that I watched but the Liar and His Lover. Is that the way the Korean version interpreted it? If so, I'm happy I skipped it lol
From the first 2 eps I could feel the Something In the Rain vibes...went to check and of course its the same screenwriter. Watching now I can feel the improvements that SITR needed, still a bit flawed, but along with the same directions when it comes to cinematography that I loved in SITR. I'm part of the few who really enjoyed SITR. The raw realistic nature of women who aren't perfect and have to go through boundless hurdles to understand what they want. Feelings change and sometimes you don't know how to handle them or understand what the next step is after being so comfortable...can't wait to see what Jung In decides to do.
I come here to see if he has new roles lined up bc I loved him in WWW. He matched Scarlett so perfectly. Only to find out he's younger than me....I am proud of you sir for matching Lee Da Hee's mature vibe XD
At first my family didn't understand but my mom took it as me learning about new cultures and being open minded. So she loves that I take interest in things outside of the USA. My brother would poke jokes at me but he now sends me videos and memes and asks me about Asian artists he sees in movies that he likes. It's been 14 years since I started my love of anime, manga, and dramas but my family always took the time to understand my hobby now that I think about it.
I'm the only one out of my tight knit group of friends who watches dramas on a daily. I tell them good shows to watch and they tell me to take a break to catch up on the latest season of My Hero...it's a good friendship and we understand each other lol
Now relationships....I've never dated anyone who didn't understand my hobby lol mainly because I don't date guys who don't take the time to understand me and the things I like. So out of all my serious relationships I've had my versions of Kim Jae Wook lol what made him so attractive in the drama was how encouraging and understanding he was of Deok Mi and that was amazing.
Honestly, Absolute Boyfriend is my least favorite Yuu Watase manga out of all her amazing works like Fushigi Yugi and Ceres. That was my childhood and I still refuse to watch any version of Absolute Boyfriend till this day.

I'm always thinking, these men are too attractive to not be taken lol. I'm glad they're finally able to announce their happy lives.
