I feel as though it's because she's self centered but also not assertive enough. She teeters on the line of being capable but is also okay with being content in my opinion. If we didn't have her cells to rely on it would be very frustrating understanding her as a character.

I fully agree with your points but I find it intriguing when it's pointed out that this feels too 'REAL' for a k-drama. There are so many dramas focused on infidelity and very aggressive men and women but yet when it comes to two characters who are true to themselves, despite seeing all the red flags and still making the decision to pursue their wants and needs regardless of the consequences, it's hard for viewers to watch.
It's just something I've noticed lol the detachment kdramas provide for viewers are what keeps people coming back but I love these types of dramas that I can see myself in the realistic shoes of the lead.

The title is "Nevertheless". Nevertheless always implies something after it "Nevertheless, I'm going to do it anyway"
That is exactly Na Bi's character and the direction of this show. I like that it's going to explore a negative, toxic relationship.
PJE is exuding all the red flags, and my girl Na Bi is falling right back into the routine. Let's see how much more I can take LOL

Chinese dramas have failed me at keeping me to stick around (they really never need that many episodes LOL) but there are a few chosen ones I love. Can't wait to check some of these. I realized that a lot were available on Youtube before ^^

I enjoyed the cinematography of Moonshine & Valentine (the story though, not so much haha) and NANA is perfect for that same vibe so I'm excited about the director
I listen to the soundtrack everyday from the movie and anime . I have never forgotten this amazing series and have always been sad it was never finished. If anything, Ai Yazawa's 'Paradise Kiss' always holds me over LOL
Mika Nakashima will always be my original rock Nana but I'm excited to see what China will bring to this very realistic, stressful, and dark manga.

when it comes to sucking up to other directors/managers and corrupt practices in agencies it happens everywhere in the entertainment industry. some actors only get certain gigs because of their backing (like Hae Hyo) and others get back stabbed because someone doesn't like them (like Hye Jun). It was more so the other director was trying to win favor over Hye Jun's previous manager so he used his changing agencies as an excuse. happens all the time

yeah, i'm pretty sure that's why I gave it a 7. Somewhere down the line it became stagnant and no one was making decisions to improve themselves.

I haven't liked any live action versions of this great story. If this doesn't give me the feels of the manga and anime I'm going to give up lol

It's still in theaters. Have to wait for it to come out on dvd to sub it. Will probably be another 2 or 3 months.

I've only seen W, and Oh Hae Young fully. I dropped Black and I'm still debating on finishing Cruel Romance.
I did not like W as much as everyone else did and it was mostly because of the actress but the story also didn't keep my attention for all the hype it got.
What I loved about Oh Hae Young is how flawed her character was. It was very surprising to see a character that just felt sorry for herself all the time and was annoying but it didn't botherme. It was the first time I ever looked at a female lead and thought, I would probably be selfish and act like that too if I was always put in second place and never felt like the 'pretty" OHY. Especially if I was always compared to her. That would be so tiring so I connected with that. But it's been such a long time since I've watched it but I gave it a 7 so I obviously had some other issues with it lol
Black doesn't represent Go Ah Ra to me. She was really good in Reply 1994 and that was the first show I ever watched her in. Miss Hammurabi was also an amazing show. I just take Black as a stumble in her career because it seemed she didn't even care about it LOL
Cruel romance has been on hold for so long I don't know if I want to continue it. I paused it for a reason but I don't remember anymore haha
