Title Rich Man
This is what happens when you take an 11 episode drama and stretch it into 16 episodes. There will be dragging, there will be extra story lines, and there will be different character development.
I haven't seen Rich Man Poor Woman since it aired in 2012, so I'm basically judging this show on its own entirety bc the only thing I remember is Oguri Shun and his awesome acting, the second lead male who was shady, and the main girl who could be a bit annoying.
So from that, Suho put his own spin on the character, I'm not mad at that since the character ages are a bit different and I like the fact that he's not trying to be exactly like Oguri Shun (Suho is nowhere near as masculine as OS so I appreciate him using his own charms). The story is almost exactly the same with a different spin here and there and a whole other story of Tae Ra (I don't remember anything about the second female lead in the original), it was interesting but it was just there to fill up time honestly. Tae Joo is not as sketchy as the original, but bc I knew where it was going I could tell his small actions that would lead to what happened. Yeah, he was a bit more sympathetic but there were plenty of times he could have voiced his opinion and knock Yoo Chan down a peg. I mean if you dislike some of the things he is doing or you feel left out just tell him. Why baby him and then hold a grudge because you haven't said how you felt? It would have been better if they kept Tae Joo as a sketchy friend from the get go instead of making it seem as though Yoo Chan is just selfish and apathetic.

A lot of ppl criticize Hwang Jung Eum for playing similiar roles in her dramas but at the same time no one else…
People sleep on her so much because they want actresses that are dramatic, and calm but yet strong. You watch Jung Eum for the complete opposite feelings which is what I love. I watch her shows for her screaming and over the top reactions because no one else can do it like her. It's so entertaining. XD
Her role in Secret blew me away after I got used to her being so extra and loud. I was mesmerized with her in it and it made me love her even more. Now I don't care what type of drama it is, I will watch it for Jung Eum ^^

the more the characters interact, the more entertaining it gets!
I really like how simple the plot is. it feels as though Hoon Nam is falling for Jung Eum while Jung Eum likes him but is trying to play it cool lol she's not as over the top as she usually is, she has this maturity about her but also has a childlike atmosphere that shows she still enjoys life, despite her heartbreak.

As always, I get excited to see Hwang Jung Eum on screen again, screaming and all!! I'm so happy after 7 years I finally get to see her be with Nam Goong Min in a drama after CYHMH!
I'm so excited to see them on screen together again *internal screaming/swooning commences*

2 idol fan reviews already lol ....facepalms :\Like the main girl lead, refreshing cute and adorable, i though…
Korean remakes tend to make realistic, Japanese romance series into these fluffy cute versions. So I recommend watching the original, it was really good.

That is regular in Asian society though, to live with your parents and help take care of them. You can choose…
I can see what you mean, but Jin Ah is 'choosing' to date and have relationships, it's not like she doesn't want to meet a good guy. So she wants to wish her friends happiness in finding a good guy, and if she can help with that then she's willing to help with it. Kyung Su is not seeking to find someone for herself but that doesn't mean she can't look out for potential suitors for her friend. She knows love exists, she just doesn't see it happening for herself and that's fine.
Why would you tell someone who's adamantly stated that they don't want to date, to date? It won't change anything so why bother? Jin Ah has been a really good friend to Kyung Sun pretty much sisters and she appreciates that the most which is why Jin Ah wouldn't push the dating on her. At least IRL I would not state anything about finding someone to love my friend if she has told me plenty of times she doesn't want to date.
Getting down on her knees is just dramatic screenwriting for the drama. We all know it isn't like that in real life. It's just for dramatic effect to make the story more melodramatic. But I'm sure over there if you've done something really wrong to offend an elder that is what they expect. But the younger generation may not anymore. That part idk lol

This drama started so well, with a believable love story between the two main characters. What is not believable…
That is regular in Asian society though, to live with your parents and help take care of them. You can choose to move to your own place but staying with the family is not out the norm for them.
And I don't think that's moronic, in some cases people put others happiness before their own. There could be various reasons why but in Kyung Sun's case its bc she doesn't believe in finding someone for herself bc of what happened to her mother. There is nothing wrong with her wishing happiness for her friend and brother first, her happiness is taking care of them and loving them.

I actually love the music used in this drama because it creates this warm mood that fits what the story is telling.…
My thoughts exactly. I love the maturity these two have in their relationship.

I'm not understanding why people think the song choice is bad (well one specific song).
Sometimes it's not about melody or being catchy, its about the lyrics and how they portray that scene. IMO Stand By Your Man is just a simple song that portrays how Jin Ah is hesitant of their relationship but she also grows much stronger with each episode as she gives all her love to Joon Hee...the lyrics are literally telling us the viewers that Jin Ah should be proud of her relationship no matter what and 'show the world you love him'...it'll take some time but as long as they're together, they'll grow together.
Also, the creepy ex is highly annoying and unnecessary. Joon Hee, just call the police already -_-

I knew this would be a mellow drama with natural acting and a script that most people wouldn't appreciate. But I see so much love for this realistic romance story line, I'm happy to see that ^^

Is it similar to What's Up Fox? (2006) ??
I just started it and I've also recently completed WUF and I was worried it would be the same but honestly its a better atmosphere with much more lovable characters. But it might also be because the age gap isn't as big as in WUF.

Even now Suzy acting is still bad
I was going for the looks department, she looks exactly like Suzy when she started out because they have the same type of expressions. Suzy did a way better job in WWSY. IU tops UEE and Suzy.
I'm just saying Joy has promise, she's not even as stiff as Suzy was when she started. Suzy has come a long way from Dream High, just saying.

It's really sad that you only see the dark side of the moon, even in this drama their friendship was perfect,…
You could tell that they wanted to care about each other, so I wouldn't say it was fake either. Just very toxic and resentful because no matter how hard they tried to care for each other they held themselves back which made their 'friendship' fall apart so quickly. And real friendships shouldn't fall apart that fast because a new comer, whether another friend or lover, comes along. It's just a shame that none of them ever really opened themselves up to be true to each other.
