I'll disagree about the Liar and His Lover, the dark mood of the movie is what fit the storyline, it wasn't a bright happy go lucky story. Yes, I did wish it was longer and more detailed, but the Korean version doesn't set the right mood for how serious it was supposed to be. Like come on the man was 25 and the girl was supposed to be 16 in the original manga, you can't really romanticize that without it being a bit gloomy.
But I agree with Mars and everybody else's take on Death Note, I loved Light in the drama but I loved L in the movie haha
Even when you aren't trying to be racist....you sound racist. I don't think anything about this film being bad has anything to do with L being BLACK but it could be bad because of L not being portrayed as well as he could have been from a shitty script and an actor who could have done a better job. A bad actor can be black, white, asian, or any ethnicity...
Goblin overall had a better script and story, BOH on the other hand took itself way too seriously and had way too many plot points to get through in the short amount of time it had. It wasn't that easy to concentrate when one episode you're thinking they're going to find the orbs and then next minute, oh they're found and now we have to do this....it was confusing lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0X8i_L-Q7k
the reply 1988 explanation is kind of ridiculous lol there were plenty of hints like the smoking incident and a lot of other clues, i think someones OTP didn't bloom haha
I watched episode 6 and still dont understand why did she begin to like him except his handsomeness... even if…
I'm trying really hard to understand it myself. But I want to say that it can depend on them relying on each for some time now but it can also be that they're learning a lot about their two different worlds together too. But to each their own right now because this drama is everywhere to be honest lol
I loved this list, a lot of good recommendations. Added about 3 dramas to my already overwhelming list and then realized about 4 of these are already on my list lol. The rest I've already seen haha
I prefer it, makes it seem shorter and then I don't forget everything that happened in the first half because it was focused solely on the story and not giving me any unneeded information to fill time. Suspicious Partner did have a couple fillers in the end but that was because the story was pretty much over but they still needed to fulfill the time slot.
This is very updated list for beginners starting with very recently aired dramas so for the people who have been watching for awhile...of course this list wouldn't be a good start. Secret Garden now would be really bad compared to these new romances, as well as BOF and Goong. Its being updated with the times so these are pretty perfect for drama watchers starting now.
The K2 was good until the end, it got draggy.
I personally refuse to start Strong Woman because well its very unrealistic to me and I chose Weightlifting Fairy over it to watch.
I really want to watch Man x Man.
DOTS is definitely a beginners drama now for high production value in dramas now.
I still need to watch Healer.
I Hear Your Voice is an awesome beginner drama.
Goblin, once again great at the beginning but draggy near the end but it was pretty excellent.
I totally agree!! And everyone of these new Prince Charming dramas are in my Top 10 ^^ (I just haven't seen Strong Woman yet for a couple of reasons lol)
#1 is my biggest problem...I have to decide what I'm in the mood for and then go from there...if I've watched too many romances then I know I'll need to watch something dark and suspenseful like I'm doing with Signal (which is soooo good lol) I can't tolerate many historical dramas, if I'm in the mood for them I'll definitely watch a mainland Chinese drama.
