I’ve been enjoying reading your comments. I like debating about what people think about the female lead when it’s well fought out like your comment is cause I can understand things from both perspectives. I just find it irritating when comments are bashing her and saying that she’s a nasty person for lying. It’s like she was also abused in different way so I understand why she acts the way she does.

I think that knowing somebody loves you understanding that they love you and accepting that they love you are completely different. She grew up in an environment, where love was conditional that she always had to be stronger and better than everyone else before her mother gave her any affection I think. She might know he loves her, but might not understand or accept it yet. Also, this illusion that she has been under has been engrained in her systematically her entire life so she’s not just gonna give it up just like that.

Thanks for her perspective, which is why I’ve been trying to argue her case of it even though a lot of people don’t like her at all lol

Lived with the deceit, her entire life think about it. This solution has been on her since infancy is drilled into her that no matter what she must not tell anyone her secret yes, the second figured it out and she did try to like not confirm it. When she needs before him and says that whatever she’ll be useful, it’s because even the love of her mother has been conditional as long as she was useful and maintained her top spot the minute that she had a weakness and fell her mom completely abandoned her to die. When something‘s been engrained in you for your entire life trust doesn’t come easily. So while I don’t agree with her lying, I can understand it more from her perspective. Since I don’t believe that that her life has been that great obviously it appears better than the male these life because he was a slave and grew up horrifically, but I don’t think her life was entirely great either for different reasons. At least the mail lead ended up meeting his master and his master of teaching him how to trust people, but she literally had no one except for her spare animal and maybe her master. What she went through is still abuse in a different way.

We don’t know how the drama is gonna end though cause it’s still ongoing lol. Also they’ve completely deviated from the novel so who knows how the drama will end still hoping it’s happy though.

I’m trying to say like the love of her mother was just so conditional. Not only did she have to hide her identity from infancy, but it seems her mom was only affectionate if she constantly showed how strong she was and maintain the number one position all the time. When she didn’t like when she was compromised and poisoned her mom cast her aside like she was nothing. Even though she did it under the pretence that all it’s for your safety once her spiritual veins were broken, and she couldn’t maintain the illusion that she was a boy anymore. She was just abandoned with nothing.

so funny because I think this is the first drama in a long time where I like, feel like I could write a psychology essay on the psychological make up of the main leads. It hasn’t been since watching the Thai boys, love drama, cutey pie that I felt this involved in a drama lol

No problem 😁. Yeah the comments that I was reading on Reddit, the person who was trying to read the novel said they actually couldn’t finish because they drew a hard line with cheating and the portrayal of his character completely turned them off.

From spoiler comments I was reading about the novel in Reddit apparently in the novel JZB’s attitude is a bit problematic. He apparently looks down on women, but he is actually a true womanizer in the novel not only does he start a relationship with her in chapter 1, but it continues ongoing relationships and affairs with other women while in a relationship with her and even after they’ve been together for some time, she discovers that he’s actually been married for a year in a political marriage to someone else.

I feel like they did that in Till The End of The Moon where the male lead Tan Tai Jin was a sociopath or a psychopath. He didn’t care at all about other people and had no problem harming innocent civilians. Obviously, when they made the drama, they couldn’t have a male lead portrayed like that so it’s almost like they went out of their way to try and make him appear over sympathetic to the viewer since he’d been abused, horrifically his entire life but then they didn’t rewrite the female character to match. I felt that because of this the female lead female lead, came off as indecisive and wishy-washy because she kept going back-and-forth as to whether or not, she should kill him. A lot of people had complaints about the inconsistency of her character.

Maybe this is the same where the writers fell over themselves to make him more empathetic to the viewer because of his background, but then didn’t give the female character, the same treatment.
