That’s OK this is how I know a story is really good and is captured my interest when I can read all these spoilers and still go back and watch them. Well, although it’s not really spoilers considering the novel and drama are literally nothing alike. I just was getting a bit annoyed at reading. All these comments of people are like literally bashing the female lead for not trusting him easily as he seemed to trust her because his background was more abused. It’s like she also has her own trauma and literally was raised in an environment where she wasn’t allowed to trust anyone Where she had to hide who she was this kind of systematic I guess indoctrination maybe isn’t gonna be overcome just because the male lead shows her a little bit of an opening where she might be able to trust him
My predictions on how the truth will finally come out, she will start dying because she used up all her magical…
This is what I’m thinking although I’ve heard that he gives it to her in a scallion pancake, and she doesn’t even realize it until a few days later. So maybe she won’t be in that desperate situation if she’s dying because I don’t think she’ll be able to eat a scallion pancake if she literally on death door.

I think her living in luxury wasn’t that great honestly. Not only was it instilled in her that she had to lie about her very identity to literally everyone except for obviously 27 her mother, the Empress, and her master. It didn’t seem like her mother viewed her with a lot of affection, unless she constantly proved herself how strong she was, and that she was number one in the arena all the time. The minute that she wasn’t number one when JZB defeated her because she was poisoned and she could no longer maintain the illusion that she was a guy her mom cast her out. So sure on the surface she lived a life of luxury, but only because she was constantly winning and showing that she was on top, I’m sure that the moment even as a child, she showed weakness that luxuries probably stripped away as punishment. Even though it was under the pretence that her mom was doing it for her own benefit, she literally threw her out on the streets with nothing but the clothes on her back knowing that she was poisoned and she was going to die. She basically just left her to go die on her own. If it wasn’t for her master, I think telling her that JZB have the antidote she probably would’ve just died in obscurity. Or the people who were looking for her, would’ve just killed her on sight . I don’t agree with what she did, but I’m also giving her a little bit of slack because although her upbringing didn’t seem on the surface to be as horrific as his was because obviously he was a slave and he grew up being experimented on in horrific conditions. I don’t think she personally had it all that great either. Having to constantly prove yourself to have a parent love you is a form of abuse to. So I’m giving her a bit of slack even though I don’t like her actions either.
I thought the revelation that MY is not what she seems to JBZ will be much grander or sth, but everything happened…
lol. As horrific as his childhood was and let’s be real, it was pretty awful. It doesn’t appear that he had to lie or deceive anyone around him about who he was. As horrible as his early years were at that time he could always just be himself.
I honestly think he’s more open to accepting of his feelings towards her more than she is accepting of her feelings towards him.
I would think with always having to deceive people, though who she was her sense of self would be pretty effed
I thought the revelation that MY is not what she seems to JBZ will be much grander or sth, but everything happened…
I was thinking about this today and I think it’s because it’s been so engrained in her since infancy to lie about who she is if you think about it cause not even those closest to her other than the empress her mother, her master and 27 know that she’s actually a woman. Even though she can think to herself, he’s a good man like he’s wants justice for his master. I think it’s been so engrained in her to not trust anyone no matter what. So I think that that’s why, even though she might’ve been given the smallest opportunity to tell him the truth something that’s been so systematically engrained in her pretty much since infancy is not gonna just go away like that.
I thought the revelation that MY is not what she seems to JBZ will be much grander or sth, but everything happened…
Apparently, even though I feel all the signs are there that she is MX. She continues to lie and even tries to convince him that she’s MX’s fiancé or something. 😂
You already see it in episode 13 that it’s more that he’s hurt that she’s deceiving him through her identity. I think that’s it. We see it in episode 13 where when he has to try and carve her name into the marriage stone and is repeatedly struck by lightning because in order for them to be able to carve their initials into the marriage stone, there has to be genuine, emotion, and sincerity there. It won’t let him carve her name into it because. Her name Ming Yi is not her true name so every time he tries, he gets struck by lightning. He says something like I knew it. Which confirms that he knew that she was deceiving him about who she was, but he doesn’t know that she’s actually. Ming Xian yet. So I think that that’s what they’re referring to that she’s still hiding her identity from him, which has put him in a bad situation because now he’s committed to standing by her side to the world so now he still has to continue putting on an act with her, even though he doesn’t think she genuinely has emotions for him yet.
Because she approached first, she lied to him about her feelings. JBZ didn't empty talk to her about his feelings…
We haven’t met her father yet though, and since things are working out much differently in the drama, we don’t know if that’s what they’re going to follow. Since in the novel we know that from the very beginning, the empress has been poisoning her to control her. She knows that the empress has been poisoning her to control her. In the drama, though as far as we know, this is the first time she’s been poisoned and she doesn’t know who did it. And the drama she seems to have a much better and more loving relationship with her mother at least on the surface. So I don’t think we can follow the novel about what’s happening since they apparently deviated quite a lot so the drama is kind of its own story.
Because she approached first, she lied to him about her feelings. JBZ didn't empty talk to her about his feelings…
Because when you’ve never had that emotion yourself or had anyone show those kind of genuine emotions, to you? how are you supposed to recognize them in yourself? lol.

Can’t be entirely fake though because otherwise they wouldn’t have been able to cross the bridge so there’s something there. I just don’t think she recognizes it so I think we’ll just have to agree to disagree lol
What hypocrite? He wasn't deceiving her about love. He was honest with his feelings. In his schemes, they both…
I don’t think she realized this until she saw the bottle with the stars. I feel that when you’ve never really been treated genuinely or truly loved because let’s face it. I don’t think the Empress really loved her all the empress cared about was that she was the strongest and that she had to win all the time and the moment that she lost because she was poison the emperor booted her out for not having spiritual powers anymore. Since now she couldn’t maintain the lie that she was a man which was placed on her by the empress by the way.
You say in his schemes, they both benefited, but there was a few times where he literally put her life in danger, knowing that she was weaker and power or not realizing that she had the spiritual power to get herself out of it. Obviously when they were in the illusion realm his original intention was to sacrifice her and leave her behind, but instead he came back. Also, she’s literally dying. She’s been poisoned even though there was more a matter of urgency for her issues. She still kind of put it on the back burner to help him get justice for his master, and even like helped him protect the golden millet dream from others that would use it for their own selfish gain. Not saying that her act was entirely selfless, but she is dying you know and for someone who’s been taught never show weakness ever I can’t blame her for suddenly being like oh wait I’m not who I say. I am and I’m poison and dying like they weren’t just at that part of the relationship to be completely honest. I mean there was even one comment where he started to say something and then just completely paused and didn’t end up finishing the sentence and I thought so he says that he trust her, but he obviously doesn’t trust her 100% because something is holding him back.
Sorry but he lied and tricked her from the beginning and now he's pissed she did exactly the same. Revelation…
Well, we know his past was being experimented on for the golden millet dream cure. That he was basically a slave, and was treated pretty horrifically and that his master saved him and gave him a better life.
I honestly think he’s more open to accepting of his feelings towards her more than she is accepting of her feelings towards him.
